Good vibes all around! During our short stay in WeHo, my friend and I decided to give WOLA a try as a fun activity to do together! We didn't notice the free intro class they have with Yelp, but we signed up for a session on ClassPass. This review is from the perspective of someone who's done light circuit-training. It was more difficult than I was used to, but not unbearably so! When I arrived, I was greeted by Craig, who warmly gave me a quick tour around the studio. The space itself is bright and clean, with a modern flair. There's a warm-up area up front, and then a darker room where the circuit-training happens. In the back, there are lockers and bathrooms. We took a 45-minute FIT class with Tiffany on a Tuesday morning. There were only 2 others in the class. The class consisted of a warm-up followed by 3 stations with 3 activities each that we looped through 3 times each. After circuit-training, we concluded with an ab workout on the mats, which was quite strenuous too (I had been expecting to just end with stretches). I also really appreciated how well-ventilated the room was - when we were wrapping up, there was extra air cooling the room, which made it very refreshing. Overall, the workout was well-organized and sufficiently challenging! Tiffany was upbeat, engaging, and full of positive energy, and she gave me and my friend guidance along the way with positioning and movements. She remembered our names and encouraged us every step along the way! We really enjoyed our WOLA experience, and we appreciate how helpful and motivational Tiffany was! As we left, they even gave my friend a balloon for her birthday :) read more

WO*LA (WORKOUT LOS ANGELES) is by far one of the coolest concepts in Los Angeles right now. They offer classes for adults, youth, and families. From HIIT to boxing they have it all and most importantly all of their programs are safe, fun, and exciting. The program changes every day so you never get bored. I love that they offer family classes as well, creating an experience the whole family can enjoy. I love that as company they take pride in making their members feel apart of the WO*LA family. Bringing all ages of LA community together through fitness and wellness is their mission. I've taken many classes and all the instructors are amazing. They fix your form, cheer you on, and will push you to keep going even when you think you can't. All of the programs are suitable for all levels. So if you are looking for a fun place to workout, I would highly recommend trying a class at WO*LA. The owners Craig and Leonard are kind, welcoming, and love being active in their community. From hosting charity classes, birthday parties, and also youth fitness camps the owners are two truly inspiring individuals. I admire how hands on they are with the growth of their business. WO*LA isn't just a fitness studio, it's the most welcoming and inclusive fitness community in Los Angeles. read more

I drive past WOLA all the time and finally signed up for Michelle's FIT class through Classpass for 7 credits. The staff is great at showing you around for your first class and they have benches you can sit at while you wait for the class to start. The class format had three stations with three exercises and we rotated through each station for 1 min circuits for 10 minutes then switched to the other one. The studio had a good mix of equipment, medicine balls, dumbbells, exercise balls, boxes, etc. It's fast paced and they don't cool the room so you work up a big sweat quickly. The demographic of the class I went to was mostly 40-55 age range and the studio has kids program so it definitely gives off a family friendly feel. Michelle was great at knowing people's names and giving personal encouragement and feedback to everyone in the room. Final note, I love that they have black sweat towels! read more

If you're looking to take your fitness to the next level in a welcoming and supportive environment, look no further from WOLA. I've been a member of a lot of gyms from high priced chains to local drop in studios - WOLA truly feels like a family that is also here to push you to be your best. A fun, clean and well-priced studio right next to the Grove! (They also have parking) read more

This is a redemption story of the highest order. Whoaaa LA! The very first time I tried to come here on a Friday afternoon, I was misdirected by the receptionist on the color of the back door (for the record, it's tangerine orange) and furthermore, there was not an inch of parking space to be found in the back or front. So, this non-quitter gave up and went elsewhere. Now that's saying something! I tried coming again on a Sunday and was successful! Here's what I've learned since and why I've become a member: + PROMPT AND PUNCTUAL!!! 45 minutes from start to finish, with classes starting and ending exactly as scheduled. I've been burned by other studios not respecting their clients' time and lagging behind on their advertised start and end times, which has downstream effects on my schedule. Not here though -- if you're running a minute behind, you'll miss a minute of the warm-up, plain and simple! I appreciate how exact the timing is and am thus able to time my commute to the seconds. + VARIABLE EXERCISES!!! Around 5 minutes of warm-up, followed by 3 circuits consisting of 3 exercises each (40 second sets at your own pace and desired modifications if needed, 20 seconds to move to the next exercise, and 1 minute rest/water break between circuits), finished with around 5 minutes of ab exercises and stretching. The FIT workouts (rebranded from WOLA WAY) rotate on a 25 day cycle basis (+/- a few days, I forget the actual cycle length) so you'll basically be doing a different workout every day of the month. Furthermore, there's some cool technology where the first and third exercises are visually demonstrated on a TV monitor at the front of the room! + AMAZING SERVICE!!! This is the only studio I've been to where the instructors wipe down the mats for you after your workout (just leave it behind after you use it for ab work/stretching at the end) vs. you having to wait for a wipe, wipe down your mat, wait in line to hang your mat back on the wall, etc. I still have to fight the urge to self-service my mat at the end of each workout, but am grateful for even the minute that this added gesture saves me each morning. Towels are provided as well! + ADMIRABLE BUSINESS MODEL!!! The business saw a void in the fitness industry, where parents could not get in a workout without (a) getting a sitter for the kids, (b) bringing the kids to the facility and shoving them in a corner with an iPad (I've actually witnessed this recently at another studio), or (c) parents had to get their own workout in at an odd hour then sit idle while kids were at their own sports activity. Not here. There are simultaneous classes for adult (FIT) and kids (FIT Youth) offered during certain times during the day so adults and kids can workout in separate rooms during the same hour. There are also joint classes offered on certain days (FIT Family) so adults and kids can workout together with variable weights. This makes total sense, I'd be completely enamored if I had kids! Some suggestions as the business continues to grow and expand (i.e., WO-[insert city here]): - Would LOVE if there were more consistent workout times! Earliest classes are 6:00am on Monday, 6:00am and 7:00am on Tuesday, 9:00am on Wednesday, 6:00 and 7:00am on Thursday, and 9:00am Friday through Sunday. I've had to resort to ClassPass-ing at other studios on Wednesdays and Fridays to get a workout in before work. - Would be great if there was hand sanitizer near the back door to quickly sanitize on the way out. - Appreciate that most people don't bring a lot of personal items in the mornings, and it's quicker to stash on the floor in the workout room. However, it's distracting when people continuously check their phones during the workout (which is contagious, also guilty) and would be better if the usage of lockers were encouraged (even if kept unlocked for convenience), which will be important as word continues to get out and classes grow in size. - Better marketing! I was confused when doing my initial research since most of the posts I found on Yelp and Instagram featured their youth workouts (and not adults). Additionally, recent reviews on ClassPass and MINDBODY were pretty stale. Hopefully this review shakes things up a bit! - Song playlists could be better but not a dealbreaker. Every studio I've gone to, I've discovered new trendy songs that make its way into my Current Favorites playlist and also become a trending song on Spotify-curated playlists... however I don't care for any of the songs that I've heard while working out here so far. Take advantage of the FREE INTRODUCTORY CLASS to experience WOLA for yourself. If you're like me, you'll get addicted to the varied workouts and friendly instructors who are constantly watching your form. Your health will thank you later (but you can thank me now)! read more

Absolutely love this place. Love the idea of being able to get in a good workout while my kids do the same. You enter into a family friendly vibe of smiles and you immediately feel the love. Great instructors and diversity of movement and class styles. I absolutely love the PHIGT class they offer there in addition to the circuit style training. If you're looking for a gym that's family friendly, offers diverse programs, allows you and your kids to train, then WOLA is the place for you. read more

I used to always get stuck working the same muscles in the same way, scared to try new workouts for fear of being bad at anything sports-adjacent. If you're athlete-minded, over-competitive or just prefer routine like me, WOLA is perfect because you engage so many muscles you didn't know you had while the format, community, and schedule remain constant. You can start anywhere and the people around you will always push you to go just beyond your comfort zone so you are always improving. I became so much more aware of my body, strengths and limitations here. Showing up to WOLA is the best part of my day! read more

I found WOLA walking down 3rd street in February. I hadn't worked out in a year, none of my clothes fit and I wanted to find a gym I liked to get back into the groove of things. I joined equinox and WOLA at the same time to see where I fit most. On my first day at WOLA, I knew i was going to love it. Not only do the workouts rock, But everyone welcomed me with open arms as if I were family. I obviously quit equinox and workout at WOLA 4-5x a week (sometimes even 7) Now, my workout is the highlight of my day. my clothes fit, I feel healthy happy and all around better. Thank you Craig. I never want to workout anywhere else read more

Hard workout for sure. Gotta get in shape though. And, my son did his workout and broke a sweat too. We will be back. Quick thoughts: Place is super clean and new. Great way to teach kids about making a fitness commitment for themselves. Great opportunity to work out alone, and give the kids an activity that's good for them too. read more

A friend told me about Craig's workouts when I was in a slump during COVID. I love working out and had a regular program pre-quarantine, but I could not connect to any virtual class and actually stay into it through the end. I'd get bored, or not be challenged enough, or not feel like I was really "with" people. I'd tried other zoom classes - and was struggling to feel challenged by them, not by their level of difficulty but I just could not tune in. This class got me out of my slump. It's challenging, varied, there's great music - but I think what has kept me coming back is Craig. He motivates me through a killer workout with positivity and he is authentically NICE. It's a treat to work out with him. read more

Well it's been 6 months I have been working out here. This place really helped me take the stress away and be in shape. The classes are 45 min and it's all you need! Really great studio. My second time here. Super pro instructors that are friendly, great amenities, really clean. Definitely recommend WOLA.

My favorite virtual workout team with WO2. I love jumping in even if I am exhausted and getting my blood moving in the morning. I enjoy the community and the amazing set of exercises with Craig. It is always a surprise what sets of exercises we are doing in the comfort of our homes. Craig keeps it exciting and challenging. All exercises are adaptable for anyone at all levels. In uncertain times being part of the WO2 Fitness family helps me look forward to the mornings. Even when I have to miss a morning I also enjoy taking the workout at my own time too. read more

This is a long overdue review--we've been going to WOLA for about 6 months now and are still amazed and thankful we found it. Starting with: 1. Craig (owner): I wish every business could have a Craig. I left a message and immediately received a call back (at night) from Craig, who patiently listened to all my concerns for my family's health and needs. He has created a place where you feel like you have a full support system for yourself, as well as anyone in your family. He's super responsible, easy going, and knows his stuff when it comes to health and wellness (for both adults and kids). 2. Staff: A+ staff all around. Front desk greets you with big smiles and has everything from hair ties to gum. They're able to work with kids in a way where those without kids don't feel as though it's a kids-only center, and kids feel completely comfortable and walk around like they've been their for years. 3. Instructors: Again, A+ all around. I've been to a good number of gyms and classes in LA and I can tell you, the best instructors are here. They're the most empathetic people you'll meet and they treat kids like they're their own, and really listen to adults and any issues they're experiencing. They all have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the mind and body and you'll feel like they're life long friends from the minute you meet them. 4. Studio: Super clean, super modern, super happy and fun. There are large monitors in each room that show the specific exercise for a particular station, so you never feel lost. The studio is a great size too, I've never felt like there were too many people crammed into a room. 5. Classes: Don't be fooled by the fun and kind attitudes--you will definitely feel it the next day, regardless of the class you take. The first time I took a family class, I figured it'd be easier. Nope. Same expectations, exercises, and reps are made for everyone. I've loved every class I've taken, and my kids still beg to go back each week. 6. Parties: We recently had a party at WOLA since my kids adore the place. They loved it. Their friends loved it. And it was super easy for us. We were greeted with "What can we do to help?" All the managing, music, clean up, etc. is taken care of. The kids have a blast, and are taken through tons of different activities and are able to enjoy the entire studio (lounge, front desk, 2 exercise rooms). They were set up differently too so it felt like there were tons of different activities. We loved it, and I definitely recommend it for any age group. We had a wide age range (4 - 10) and everyone had smiles the entire time. 7. Camp: Fantastic options, including trips to the Grove, Museum, cooking classes, puppy yoga, etc. 8. Clients: No attitudes, just great people who want to be there. I definitely recommend giving WOLA a try. I'm so thankful to have it as a part of our lives. read more

Perfect for busy parents, you can drop your kids off to a class while you take a class, and the adult classes/trainers will motivate you and kick your butt while the kid trainers/classes are energetic and fun. In one review, I can't say enough great things about this gym. The team is amazing. The trainers are experienced, motivational and in tune with any limitations or issues customers may have on the day of their class. I've suffered multiple injuries over the years through repetitive stress and incorrect form, but at WOLA they are always on guard to adjust my bodily position, and make modifications based on my limitations on that particular day. I feel completely confident and safe in their hands when I work out and with that, am able to comfortably push myself without risk of injury. I cross train (boxing, swimming, yoga, spin, stairmaster) but through WOLA I've grown stronger and more toned through their weight training. Appears this was the missing piece in my routine. Craig is engaging and takes the time to know each customer and their story. He's like family. Michelle is energetic, wonderful and so popular with the youngsters who come in to train. Simone is kick-ass: I love this team. They offer a monthly deal which is excellent value for money, and honestly, a great return on your investment. Families of all ages can train together. Stop procrastinating and just try it out. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. read more
