We had food delivered for a work lunch. Everyone got their specific order in and it arrived pretty much on time. Mine had fried rice instead of the steamed rice that I ordered. Three of us got sesame chicken and we all agreed that we would probably never order that again if we ever order from this place again. I'm not sure if it was the type of batter or the fry oil, but it was heavy and not at all tasty. There was also ordered an orange chicken, a sweet and sour chicken, and finally a veggie. Second review: 1 star to 2 stars. We didn't want to go out because of the snow, so we decided to place a delivery order. The website allows you to pay upon delivery. That is what we did since we prefer using cash. A big plus. Overall, it was not my favorite experience with a delivery. It said estimated time 60 minutes. It took an hour and 15 to get to us. I called at 55 minutes to get an update and they said the driver's car broke down-and I don't really believe that because my husband says (who's worked at different restaurants that offer deliveries) use that excuse when they don't have a driver available; and it's a very common excuse. So that is frustrating. Why not just be honest? Or start using a company like door dash that is more reliable than trying to do it yourself? At any rate, by the time the food got to us, it was completely cold. I called and told them, and they said that they would be willing to make it again and resend it. I said that was okay, because I wasn't sure if the original food was still safe to eat, and I'm not paying that much money to reheat it. I asked how long it would be. They said pretty fast, and it came in about a half hour. Everything was packed nicely so nothing spilled. The wonton soup was very oniony. The hot and sour was decent, not spicey at all. The rice tastes fresh, which I'm glad, because normally it's not that great. The website doesn't let you choose between white or ham fried rice on meals. It comes with ham fried rice. The lemon chicken was really good. The cashew chicken was good. The beef and broccoli was pretty good. Overall, I added a star because they resent the food and the food was good, but if you want it fresh and hot, go it yourself as the delivery is not that reliable. Hmm, honestly it didn't hit the spot for me. I was hoping for a delightful and authentic tasting meal--but instead I ended up scraping some globby sauce off of my beef and wishing I was at Panda Express instead. The service was semi slow, I understand how it is though when there is only one waitress and three tables, so I wasn't too disappointed with that. The restaurant is clean and fresh looking, but not how I would expect a Chinese place to be decorated. I LOVE eating at restaurants that really capture their culture, and Wok didn't do that. However, I can't complain about the fresh, clean look; I'd rather have "bleh and clean" than "authentic and messy". But back to the food. I must have ordered the wrong thing because it really wasn't that tasty. I ordered the Mongolian Beef, which is usually safe to get, but the sauce was bland and there was soooo much of it--I ended up with a bigger pile of that than meat. I also ordered the six dumplings and they came out SUPER oily. I was doing the whole "blot with your napkin" exercise, you know, it's what your grandma does with her lipstick. I came here with several family members and we ordered family style for 5. We had the tiny spicy chicken, sesame chicken, general Tso's, Mongolian beef and sweet & sour chicken. It also comes with fried won tons, fried rice and egg rolls. The won tons and egg rolls were kinda dry and just meh. Everything else was decent. The food here is a bit better than a Chinese buffet and the prices are better. You get a lot of food if you order family style. The entrees are twice the size of a single WoW entree meal. The consensus favorites seemed to be the Mongolian beef, general Tso's and sesame chicken. The tiny spicy chicken is sort of like a mix between sweet and sour and general Tso's but with more spice. Food-wise, it's 3 stars. But value and good service helped it punch above its weight a little bit. It's a great place if you aren't too picky, want good value and lots of leftovers. read more

I don't know what the last reviewer ate here that was so terrible, but I have never had a bad experience. My family has been ordering from WoW for 5+ years and love it! They are always very pleasant to talk to and have some of the tastiest orange chicken I have found anywhere (it's not on the menu, but they will make it for you if you order it). Their sweet and sour chicken is also pretty incredible, and that's coming from someone who doesn't generally like sweet and sour. If you're a regular consumer of Chinese food and have a favorite that isn't on their menu, ask them about it. Chances are they will still be able to make it for you and it will probably be amazing! read more

I like this place. It might not be the greatest Chinese food ever, but I think it's tasty, consistent, and well-priced. One of their entrees consistently lasts me for two meals, and it's cheap enough that I can order extra rice and/or egg rolls without breaking ten bucks. It's much better than Panda Express, in my opinion. I can't speak to their dine-in service as I've only ever gotten takeout, so maybe that experience is different, but I'll keep going here. There are worse places to get "Chinese" food in the valley, but there are also better. One of the worst delivery experiences I've had in a long time. First an hour after I placed my order I got a call that there was a "glitch" with the online order software and they had just received the order and were on the way with it. OK, technology can mess up so I took their fifteen minute ETA and waited. 30 minutes later I called back, no sign of the driver. They didn't even know which driver has my order or if it had even gone out. When the food arrived a total of two hours after I ordered it, it was hot and seemly fresh which we were impressed with. However, the sauces are all very, very bland. This is a problem overall in Utah, but it tastes like nearly everything is cooked in the same sauce. We also paid an up charge for the walnut shrimp, but were shorted in the amount of shrimp as they attempted to disguise it in a massive amount of the blandest fried rice I've ever had. I won't be ordering from here again. For the price, you'd be better off getting Domino's if you want delivery, or driving to Mandarin Garden, or even, God forbid, Panda Express for more flavor. My husband and I ordered the two-person family since it included ham fried rice, wontons, and eggroll along with two entrees. The ham fried rice was good. The wontons were overcooked, brown and the texture of burnt paper. The egg rolls were nearly as bad. I ordered broccoli beef and the serving was generous and was very good. My husband ordered the pork in garlic sauce after asking what came with the pork. He was told onions, mushrooms, and scallions. The dish should be called carrots with pork and very little else. I honestly felt like Gordon Ramsey when he goes into a crappy restaurant. I wanted to take over the kitchen and show the cooks how to create flavor. The food was just a pile of green cabbage mush. The shrimp were rubbery, the onions were raw. plus, I felt like I was in a middle school cafeteria. suggestion to the owners: take a few items off the menu and focus on a few meals. this way your cooks aren't spread too thin. help them to add flavor to these meals and learn how to cook them perfectly without over cooking. also, I could tell that your servers knew the food was bad, they seemed miserable serving it. but if they liked the food, they would be happier. this happiness would be transferred to your customers. also, I understand the capital requirement, but do something to make it feel more inviting. perhaps dimming the lights a little, this would actually save you money. read more
