They came by our college. Loved that they had mexican coke, a variety for a menu but was pricier. However I understand why.

At first, all I saw was what looked like Sanskrit in bright yellow font on a royal blue background. A closer read: Old City Delights. This was so intriguing that my party looped back after errands. Mani, the front of house person was personable, and knowledgeable about the menu. He offered a sample of their masala chai, and, y'all, I would come back here for the chai alone. Bursting spices to warm the palate the night before a big snow storm. On to the food! The chicken pakora puts forward crisp, lightly tossed chicken pieces nestled with roasted peanuts and finished with a chili blend. The (potato and peas) samosa is excellent - a simple dish prepared so well. My main was the chicken biryani. It all came through in one bite - correctly prepared according to my spice specifications, mind - savory umami tenderness, warm spices giving you a hug. Stop by, you won't regret it!

The good part about this food truck is that the menu items are pretty cheap compared to other food trucks and restaurants in the city. I tried the paratha w/ chicken curry and ordered it to go. The wait was a bit long, but I wasn't too bothered by that since it was a busy night. However, when I got home to enjoy my meal it wasn't what I was expecting. The chicken curry was mostly liquid and very little chicken. But the worst part about having little chicken was that the chicken pieces was mostly bone, and I only got a little bit of chicken from the bone. After tasting the curry there were so many bone fragments in there that I had to constantly spit them out while eating. I finally tried the paratha, I was feeling hopeful with the paratha because I really like paratha from other Indian restaurants I've been to. After trying the paratha, it was so hard to chew and I had to soak them on the curry just so they would have some softness. I knocked off 3 stars because of these issues, and gave 2 stars for the location, cheap prices, and ample items to choose from. This food truck has potential to be better, but I had a terrible first experience.

Reuben, turkey Reuben, chicken parm, buffalo chicken, etc. I had a hard time selecting but went with the turkey Reuben. They put it in a brown paper bag so that was nice to transport back to work. When I first looked at it, it seemed underwhelming. Not too many ingredients. Not too big. But wow when I took the first bite! Still warm even after a drive. The bread was so crispy and not greasy at all! They mix of the turkey, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing was delicious. I wanted to go return and get another sandwich! Friends got the soup and I'm bummed I forgot to add that. I'm looking forward to when they return. Don't pass up on this treat!

What was nice is you could get the sandwiches as a sandwich OR as a quesadilla. I had the Club with a side of homemade chips. The club had cheddar, havarti, smoked turkey, apple-wood smoked bacon, tomato, and Fresh baby spinach on sourdough. It, along with the chips smelled wonderful on my walk back to my building. The sandwich was a good size. Slightly on the greasy side but after letting it sit on a napkin for a bit it was OK. I could have made two meals out of the sandwich! The flavors of all the different cheeses and meats was a wonderful combination. The chips likewise were a tad greasy. They were OK - not the best homemade I have had but not the worst. I would also say slightly overpriced for what you got. I look forward to their next visit in the area so I can try something new.
