When it comes to takeaway food everyone has their favourite Chinese, Indian and pizza place but sometimes you fancy something different. That was my Saturday night, I really could not be bothered to go out or cook and I didn't want the usual. A quick browse on Just Eat bought me to Wok A Noodle.
Wok A Noodle is an interesting mix of Indian and Thai food with cake and milkshakes as a bonus. They have a huge selection of food; all the things you would expect from a standard Indian or Thai takeaway in one place. My husband went with a Thai Red curry and noodles and I had a chicken chow mein. My first thought was "hang on, isn't chow mein a Chinese dish?" This was chow mein done Thai style, by that I mean it was SPICY. I'm really not a fan of spicy food, but it was really nice. We also ordered tempura prawns, when they arrived the batter was soggy but there were edible and tasty; it's not the restaurants fault that tempura batter doesn't travel well. The food also came in those cute boxes you see on US TV shows which made smile.
Delivery was fast, within 30 minutes which isn't bad for 8pm on a Saturday night. Overall I was impressed and happy with the food. Next time I'll have to try their Indian offerings.
My top tip: Thai prawn crackers are amazing. read more
