Service department guys are lazy, my girlfriend took her gas lawnmower there to have it repaired, 4 men were at the counter, and she had to beg them to help her get the mower out of the car. Only 1 guy came out to help a 67 year old woman. She ended up hurting her lower back. read more

Just got my Stihl chainsaw back after $120 service at Wohlfeil's. I uploaded a couple of photos. It does run but for the money they did not bother to clean it up. I brought it in for a full service and I guess today's Wohlfeil's considers leaving oil and dirt all over it as full-service? I have had it serviced in the past and there was a time they took pride in their work and I would get it back clean. They must be under new ownership or someone who no longer cares. I have no way of knowing what level of other service they did for the money seeing just the exterior? Hoping the oil jets are cleaned and that it runs a good long time. But looking at what I got back I do not have hope. Need to find someone else for future service! read more

In March my husband came to Wohlfeils to buy a chainsaw. He did end up making the purchase that day, but only out of necessity. The guy that was helping him was rude and condescending and was pushing him to spend double on a saw that was twice the size he needed, even after he made it clear he wasn't interested in anything that big or expensive. The employee continued to be less than friendly during the entire transaction, and even my 12 year old son said the guy wasn't very nice to his customers. Still, chainsaw came home with him, with a receipt that said he paid for it. However, our card was never charged. I kept an eye on it and after 2 weeks I started asking friends who I know process payments if it was normal for something to take that long to clear a card. The purchase was not even pending. I was advised to give it 30 days before contacting the store, because it could take up to a full cycle for it to show up on my card. So I wait, and on day 31 I called the store and explained that we had bought a chainsaw (Over $450 total) and that my card hadn't ever been charged. I had called on a Sunday and had to leave a message with the manager there at the time. Gave him my name, phone number, invoice number, and total. I was thanked a few times by this employee and he said he appreciated the call. Told me he'd have the book keeper call me the next day. The next day came and went without a call. Instead I got a call Tuesday morning, before 9 AM. When I answered the phone a woman said, "Linda (not my name), this is ****. I looked at my records and you were never charged for that saw, so did you want to give me a card number now?". Called me by the wrong name, didn't identify herself by telling me where she was calling from, asked me for a card number without thanking me for calling. Even on the call I mentioned how my conscience wouldn't let me NOT call and pay for it and she made some comment about how I'd gotten away with it for a month before my conscience caught up to me! I wasn't trying to get away with anything, I didn't want to be double charged then have to wait for a refund! This wasn't a $20 purchase, this was $450 and most people I know WOULDN'T have made that call after not being charged by a sales person that was rude to them. Here I was trying to make it right and being treated like I was trying to get away with something! Overall, I wouldn't recommend them. Mistakes happen, and us not being charged was a simple mistake. But the rest of it, the bad customer service, the way he was treated there and the way I was treated on the phone, doesn't justify me trying to support that business again. I would prefer to give my business to people who want me in their store and will treat me with respect when I'm trying to correct their mistakes, at my expense. UPDATE - A week later I received a copy of the invoice I already had in the mail again, with my CC number written on it and crossed off (exp date and Code included), and the cc slip. No note, not a thank you anywhere, no "we appreciate your honesty", nothing. I almost regret calling and paying for it. read more

The parts counter people need to work on their interpersonal communication skills. They are never friendly. I stopped by to purchase two tire valve stems for my lawn tractor. I can count on one hand the number of words the guy who waited on me said. I don't expect them to fawn all over me, but would it kill them to be courteous to their customers? read more

Took my year old Cub Cadet tractor in to this authorized Cub Cadet "service" location. It was diagnosed with a transmission problem and was under warranty. Waited all winter long, checking in from time to time of the status of the repairs and could not get any ETA. Finally called Cub Cadt myself. After a 5 minute phone call with Cub Cadet customer service I had a brand new replacement lawn mower delivered to my curb one week later directly from Cub Cadet via an independent freight hauler. I was able to accomplish in 5 minutes what this authorized "service" location could not or would not accomplish in five months. The last time I was there I approached the owner politely hoping he would step up and help me with my issue. He would not--simply referred me back to parts department. In my opinion, this is an authorized "no service" Cub Cadet location. Cub Cadet customer service advised them to destroy my old tractor. Not sure if that has or will happen. read more

Went with my mother, because we had heard there was a gentleman at Wohlfeil's that might repair her iPad screen that had cracked. Sure enough, we were directed to Scott, who diagnosed and estimated a fast repair, as he had the replacement part handy. He informed us that he would call same day or next when the iPad was ready and a few hours later we got a call and picked it up in brand-new condition! Charge was very reasonable considering replacement costs and we cannot recommend him enough! Thank you Scott! read more

I have 3 pieces of lawn care equipment for my home, and all came from here. I have been looking for a new zero turn mower, and naturally ended up here. However, the new sales guy Dave fails to listen not once, but several times. I tried to see and learn about a zero turn I was interested in, but shortly after the conversation started, he was trying to hard sell me on another brand. I used to like this place, but now they have lost all my business. Btw, I spent over 4K on a zero turn on another Saginaw business that treated me excellent. read more

RIDICULOUSLY high prices!! This store needs some serious competition. Charged $75 to put inner tubes in 2 snowblower tires, about a 5 minute job. Also tuned up and changed oil. They weren't asked to do any of that. Also charged $55 to pickup and deliver from about a mile away! On the positive side they do give good service. Unless you are extremely desperate go somewhere else. Also counter people can get very defensive and can be very arrogant and rude when questioned. read more

The sales people will tell you literally anything to make a sale. Then, when the sale is over they don't follow through on their promises. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING with these people!!!! Very dishonest! When our tractor was delivered it was missing the manual and keys, etc. They said they would come back with everything (days later). The keys and manual they dropped off didn't even go with our tractor. They shrugged and said they are all universal. Don't let them try to sell you with their warranty... that is a lie too. They told us the first 5 years of maintanence was included and after that we would pay. Nope, not true! So unhappy.... never a sale from us again.... read more

Dave Wohlfeil is a liar! I purchased a new Cub Cadet lawn tractor from him. I traded in a craftsman lawn tractor. When I asked if the snow blade from the craftsman would fit on the cub cadet he told me no, I would have to buy a new snow blade, so I did. When they delivered the cub cadet I noticed the mount for the snow blade looked the same as on the craftsman so I removed the new blade and installed my craftsman snow blade. IT FIT PERFECTLY! Ace hardware sent out a sales add back in November for a 225 piece craftsman tool set for $119.99 plus save 20 more bucks with an ace rewards card. So I went to wohlfiels on November 22,2019 and they were out of stock and was told by Tammy that if I purchased it that they would have them in there store on December 15, 2019. So I purchased 3 of them paid in full for Christmas gifts for my sons. Never heard nothing so on December 17th I went to store and was told they left warehouse and would be on there truck on the 19th soon the 19th I stopped in the store and they said they were not on the truck. Tammy called the warehouse and they told her they would be on there truck on the 23rd well guess what happened next? They were not on the truck then I was told sorry they are now looking at the 27th but here are a couple sales adds I can give to my sons on Christmas to show them what they are getting for christmas. 27th no show then January 3rd no show the 7th no show. I called ace corporate several times in between all these visits to Wohlfiels to try and get help on the situation and now on the 7th I was told the item is discontinued and they are gonna upgrade me from a 224 piece set to a 216 pc set. and that it would be in the store on Thursday January 16th and Scott told the lady at ace corporate that I am not aloud to go to the store to pickup the item till he calls and Sayes it's ready to be picked up. I am still trying to figure out how this is an upgrade. I was at Lowe's yesterday and they have the 10 of the 224 pc set in stock for 239.00 . So obviously I am being lied to again. Ace hardware corporate are as big of liers as what Wolhfiels is. I will never spend another dime at a ace hardware again. To me the sales add is false advertising and Wohlfiels has had my money since November 22nd with no intentions of producing the product.
