Honestly they deserve no stars. Horrible customer service. Drivers are pansies who use any excuse not to pick up. Someone put a large box in my dumpster which caused the plastic lid to stick up some so they charged me $175 for "overfilled dumpster". Mind you no credits whatsoever for all the missed pickups. Absolutely horrible customer service. They missed my pickup and when I logged onto their website, there was a notification that there was an issue and they'd come Wednesday, the following day. On Wednesday, they never showed up. I called about 5 PM as their website said they were there until 6:50 PM (weird hour but whatever), but the automated system said they closed at 4:50. I went back to their website and reported a missed pickup. I spoke with a few of my neighbors who also had not been picked up. Our entire block appeared to be missed. On Thursday, they STILL had not come so I called. I was stuck in their automated system for several minutes before I was able to get it to understand I needed an operator. The wait time was over 15 minutes so I requested a callback as I was at work. No callback. Later that afternoon, I initiated a live chat. The website logged me on, I initiated the chat and the website then kicked me off!! I logged on again and initiated another chat. One person logged on but then left the chat and another person logged on. I typed out my concern and that person logged off and a THIRD person logged on! I re-typed my problem and she said she'd order the missed pickup, they'd be there tomorrow, and then immediately logged off! On Friday, once again, they never showed and my husband called and managed to talk to a real person. They reported the missed pick up and said they'd come tomorrow, Saturday. This time, we got an email saying they'd scheduled the pickup. Saturday morning, I received a call from them - remember the call back I requested on Thursday, yeah. I answered and they placed me on HOLD!!! As I write this, I've been on hold for 40 minutes. My husband and I are placing bets as to whether they will ever actually answer or if it will just eventually hang up on me. read more

Warning- Avoid at all cost! They will quote a price around $80 dollars a month. However tack on additional charges after the contract is signed. To cancel they use very deceptive practice. They have a cancellation window and if you don't make the window the contact is renewed by default. Once you cancel the contact, they will charged you $300 to $375 to pick up their dumpster. I am going give this star because I have to. I've been with this company for four years. There are continuous overcharges involved with this company. If the lid is lifted an inch on your dumpster , they charge double the money. They do this a few times a year for every customer. They will exaggerate dumpster conditions and almost photoshop pictures just to get twice or three times the normal price out of you. This issue happened four times in a row, I wasted about 5 hours of my time just trying to get somebody on the phone before giving up. I eventually told them to take me to court because I am not paying for their extra hidden fees. This company will ONLY try to suck your blood and money. They are awful. They increase the bill every month and we've had to call them numerous times to come and pick up the trash that they just didn't come for on their scheduled delivery. I would highly recommend using another company. They are very difficult to work with and to get a call back as well. Their customer service is terrible and their contract has so many loopholes for them allowing them to increase their fees. They went from charging us $150/month to $450/month... for weekly pickup of 1 recycling bin and 1 garbage bin. Absolutely insane. DO NOT HIRE THEM! read more

We take our trash can out to the end of the driveway Wednesday for our Thursday pick up every week & for the 4th time Waste Management did not pick up our trash. We called immediately on Thursday and they could only schedule another "attempt" for Monday at the earliest. They also stated that they came to our residence and our cans were NOT outside which is a lie. Monday we called bc they still haven't come to pick up the trash and they told us it would be picked up by noon. At 2pm we called again and they said the GPS tracking shows that they came. Well I took the attached photos because that's obviously another lie. I have now called 4 times today and now since they claimed the driver came today but didn't the earliest they can come is tmrw. This is 5 days passed their original pick up date and our trash was destroyed by birds this afternoon bc they didn't pick it up. Now I have cleaned all this up myself and still have not heard from a supervisor. Mind numbing. Who would have thought picking up trash was so difficult. read more

Wish I could give NO Stars. If you are a business DO NOT use waste management. Waste Management scammed us into a long term contracts with no way out. There was no mention of the contract being a long term contract when we signed up for service. Furthermore, we already had an account with waste management and rather than changing the contract we had the salesman wrote a new contract so that he could extend the period of service. In addition to this, the contract states that we can change our level of service at any time. However, when we asked to have our trash bin removed and replaced with a recycling bin, they agreed by phone then months later refused. In addition to all this getting in contact with Waste management regarding a change in service is close to impossible I called 3 times and each time someone told me they would look into my account and get back to me.During this time Waste Managment has exhibited questionable business practices many times, including damaging our fence. We requested to terminate our contract and they claimed we owed them $20,000 in termination fees. This is after I pointed out to them that they violated their own contract. DO NOT use WM! read more

I can't believe the awful service I've received from Waste Management. I have to call numerous times to beg you to have my trash picked up. You keep saying you will come to pick up the trash and days go by and still no one comes to pick it up. I have spent hours on the phone with your Customer Service Department begging them to please have someone pick up my trash. I pay my bill on time and I expect to have my trash picked up! I wonder if the owner of Waste Management needs to be made aware of the awful service I have received?? I will be switching to another Trash Management Company with a much better reputation and a 50% reduction in price due to the awful service I have received.
