It was the most unrelaxing experience ever, honestly. Masseuse left me to get undressed in a dark room. I laid my clean white socks, neatly, on a table beside my water. I found my socks on the floor after massage. She left me alone, in the middle of my massage & did not inform me she was stepping away. My massage was 35 minutes because of this. (She apologized for stepping away for so long. Yes, I waited like a fool but will never do that again! I was left for about 15 minutes alone, with no service. I thought maybe she stepped away to get supplies.) At checkout, she informed me that the receptionist called out so she had to work the front as well. No apology for being cheated on service & my time. Just awful not to inform me before my service so that I could've rescheduled. Truly saddened that I did not have great service! UPDATE: The owner did reach out & was apologetic as well as understanding. She did make the situation right & I am truly thankful because it is a nice spa & the employees are very sweet. I will definitely schedule an appointment soon :)

I don't know how I didn't find this place sooner!…read more Saya Beauty is located in the Walmart shopping center off of Collins hill road and it is just what this shopping center needed. They offer a wide array of beauty services from waxing to lash extensions, even facials! I recently relocated from Kennesaw and have been looking for a new eyebrow threading place. I think I finally found it! And coincidentally it is only 3 minutes away from my house! The facility is clean, bright and welcoming. The staff was super nice and friendly as well! They take both walk-ins and appointments. I will make an effort to make an appointment next time. I was surprised at how busy they were at 4 on a Tuesday. Don't get me wrong, they handled it well and in a timely fashion but if you're in huge huge rush then it may give you piece of mind to have an appointment. My attendant was awesome and meticulous. Taking special care to make sure my brows were even. My natural brows are pretty pathetic, super thin and shapeless so i was impressed when she managed to give me some shape as well as maintain some thickness. I will absolutely be back to try some of the other services! Oh and the best part-my brows cost me a grand total of six dollars! I also saw they are running some specials for free brow threading with purchase of lash extensions as well as a couple others.

I don't like change when it comes to the companies I choose for self-care services. I recently…read moremoved to the Lawrenceville area and that drive to my former nail spa in McDonough has become an inconvenience. So I decided to take a leap of faith and search Google for nail salon near me, sorting by highest reviews. I am extremely particular about my manicures and pedicures. Everything matters to me from the establishment's sanitary habits, to how they're shaped and filed, to how closely the colors match since I use dipping powder for my nails and regular polish on my toes, and more. I chose Mickey Nail and Spa because they have a 4.7 rating on Google, with almost 400 reviews. That definitely demonstrates consistency IMO. Further research showed this establishment was formerly Zen Nail Spa but it's under new management, and the reviews are still good. Reading through the reviews, the name Julie came up often. Also, on the FB page, most of the photos displayed are of her work so I chose to make my Dipping Powder w/ extensions appointment with her. I was 2 minutes late for my appointment because I couldn't find it on Maps (iOS). Turns out they still list the establishment as Zen Nails Spa but I found it (Mickey) when I switched over to Google Maps. The parking lot is shared with a church but there are designated parking spaces for the nail spa. Those signs also still say Zen Nail Spa. The reception is right there upon entering the establishment. The choice of music is very relaxing and the incense is calming as well. I suffer from year-round allergies and asthma, and the scent did not bother me at all. Mickey greeted me, checked me and, and confirmed my services I told him the person doing m pedicure should not be someone who is too gentle as I like a strong massage, and he suggested Bing. He asked me to have a seat while they got my pedicure seat ready and I was called back a few minutes later. The area is small, with about 5 or 6 spa pedicure chairs. The lights were dimmed, the music was subtle, and the TV was on a Netflix baking show, with low volume. I was offered a water nice seated. I still chose the $60 pedicure which included an additional 20 minute reflexology massage, and added a paraffin wax for $10. Another woman (i think her name was Rita), soaked my current nails to remove the dipping powder while Bing started my pedicure. Both ladies were very polite, as was Mickey. Julie joined me about 15 minuted in, and started on my nails. She helped me choose a color and let me know that while they have a matching dipping powder/Gel/regular polish set, the dipping powder us slightly darker than the gel/regular polish. I was ok with that as that is usually the case, but I am glad she mentioned it as she should have. I told her the shape I wanted and she showed me the first one to ensure it was to my liking which it was. I have a small nail bed so I like my nails narrow and almond with a slightly round tip (not oval but not too pointy). She nailed it (pun intended lol). The total for my nails was $55 which is a great price for soak-off, dipping powder w/ extensions, and paraffin wax. Bing had me nodding off because my pedicure was amazing. She used a timer when commencing the reflexology. The last part of my pedicure before polish was the paraffin wax at which point Bing stepped away and Julie completed my polish. She asked me to stay in the chair with the fan on my toes if I have time, to ensure my toes are completely dry. All-in-all, I had a great experience. I was thanked for my business multiple times by everyone, but especially by Micky and Julie. In addition to being satisfied the services rendered, I was definitely impressed with their customer service. Though the establishment is small, it definitely feels very Zen. The staff is warm and inviting, and the owner is as well. I am so glad I gave them a try and I will be back. I will update future reviews to advise if my positive experience is consistent.

I called a few days prior to schedule an appointment at 10:00am for a full set and pedi. I walk in at 9:58am and there's a line forming to talk to the front desk. Some were walk-ins and some were appointments. When it got to me, I told him I had an appointment for a full set and pedi at 10:00am and he directed me to the tablet to complete check-in. I found my name and appointment time but it still asked me to pick my services. I picked both things I needed. The two women in front of me were ushered to their spots. I waited to the side. A few minutes later, a nail tech in the middle of the floor in the waaaay back waived in my direction. I looked around before pointing to my chest and asking if she meant me. She nodded and waived for me to come over. She asked if I didn't remember her from last time, and I replied "It's my first time here.. Nobody really explained to me who I was going to work with. They only asked me to check in and I waited for further instructions." She apologized. Super kind, social, and funny nail tech. Love love love that she can hold a conversation down cause I can be a yapper. She for sure uplifted my mood after being confused. Halfway through my set, she asked what I had planned for the rest of the day. I told her "To get my toes done, too." She immediately spoke with someone and asked if I wanted to get em done at the same time. I told her I did and she reminded me that I had a lot of power in decided to do both at the same time. I appreciated it, but let her know that in general, as a new customer I felt lost because the front desk didn't help clarify who I'd be working with or confirm what I wanted done despite that I told them what I needed verbally and I selected the same things on the tablet. I could only assume that they did they separately because nobody really talked to me to specify. --- QUALITY & VIBE --- Both the set and pedi completed was amazing, the staff is really nice, and the space is clean, professional and spacious. However, as someone who has worked the front desk, I recommend that the front really communicates the process with their NEW customers because that: sets the first impression, clarity helps makes things efficient for the staff and client, and less confusion won't make the client feel uncomfortable from the start.
