Fast and efficient service once they showed up. Their dispatching / call taker left something to be desired. My car wouldn't start this morning, most likely needed a new battery thanks to the arctic weather of late. Called Wixom Towing around 650 am and was told it would be about an hour. Not an unreasonable amount of time. However, I had to explain myself several times. He was unable to understand that I wanted a jump start because I believed it was my battery but that if it didn't work I would need the car towed to the mechanic. He kept asking if I needed a tow or a jump. Finally after explaining myself for the third time he seemed to understand. I provided my address and the address of the mechanic I would be using if needed, and the details of my car. At 815 am (just short of an hour and a half later) I received a phone call asking if I still needed their services. I had to provide all the information again. And again he seemed confused when I explained that I most likely needed a jump start. But might end up needing my car towed. I was told this time that they would get some one out shortly. Wasn't even given a time estimate. As you can imagine I hung up the phone and looked for a new company. Went out to try and start my car again before contacting another service. That's when Wixom Towing showed up. They were there so I used them. The driver was fast and polite. He was able to jump my car and $55 later I was on my own way to the mechanic. Given the price and the trouble with the dispatcher I will be looking for a new company in the future. read more

He expressed great concern for our safety, as we were in a very dangerous spot. He was professional, and friendly. He made a terrible situation, a little less terrible! This is the worst service I have ever called. It's not snowing. It's not raining, and the quickest tow truck to arrive the asshole says is "a few hours" I didn't see a curb because my window was all foggy and drove into a pond, not all the way in, just the front. And I needed this tow company to be their for me. But instead the asshole was a jerk and very rude. A few hours later (as I text this right now, my car is still in the pond) I call back to see why? Very awful experience, I had car accident last week, and maybe the cop called the wixom towing to tow my car. Their location is only 2mins drive to my accident location. And I went to there wanna to tow my car, they would like to charge me 150 dollars. And they only receive cash, on this modern world, no visa, no AMEX, no Discover. Ok, forget about these, the customer service is very disgusting. I walk to there location, and they said they need another documents. They just ask me to go back to bring it, why don't they tell me on the phone before I came to them. All in a word, the wixom towing is very bad. High cost, and very inconvenience. Stranded? Don't call them. From the moment the lady answered the phone the atmosphere was tainted with pure lack of manners. I asked for a car to be towed, she then asked me for an address of where the car was. After two minutes of me trying to find my location since I was lost and was trying to use my phone to find my location she said, "Oh, we're going to have to pass on you. I just got a call, sorry." Terrible service, terrible business ethics, and ended up finding a place that was $10 cheaper. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

This place is AWFUL!!! I was in an accident and they towed my car there. When I went to get the items from my car a couple days later, they would not allow me to until I paid $150!! They would only accept CASH payment. It was a horrible experience. I talked with our insurance agent and it was nice that they paid the additional cost. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Hopefully this place goes out of business soon -- Can't stand crooks like these taking money from hard working Americans. read more

My son's car got totaled. They wouldn't even let me have his jacket. They are very horrible people. I would never ever get my car towed from them. I had to call the police so they would give my son's jacket. They only gave me his backpack, but said we won't give you his jacket, that's all you get. ?????? Who does this? They are crazy people. they give me the worst service i've ever have from any place of business seriously.. rude with any lack of empathy at all. i'm not sure if it was my color.. my registration was left in the car . i ask to get it he said don't take the car. just get the registration. like i'm a thief or something. they need diversity and sensitivity training. its better to be thought of as ignorant than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. i would not recommend anyone to patronize this business. well you might get better service if you're not of a different race. they make you give one star. i wouldn't give it any. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Long story short, I had my car towed to wixom towing. BIG MISTAKE! I called the next morning and talked to a gentleman who gave me a price of $120. I said cool, what documentation do I need to release the vehicle? Insurance, registration, a plate, and a legal driver. Ok, cool. I ask the disgruntled female when I walk in I'm here to pick up a vehicle. Give her all the paperwork necessary and proceeds to up the price from 120 to 140. I clearly wasnt happy and about that and refused to pay. She calls the owner, most likely her husband, to reaffirm the charges. They wanted to charge me for one extra day ($20) when my car wasnt even on their property for 24 hours!!! SHE then says the smart ass kid is here to get his car. Because I didnt bow down, I was told me to leave her office and come back tomorrow. I call the cops who send a local unit, not a sheriff. As I'm explaining the situation to the officer, he said prices are prices. Gee, how good of friends are you with WIXOM TOWING? OH, THEY'RE REAL GOOD PEOPLE. LMFAO. The owner shows up, and says do you talk to your mother like that? SERIOUSLY?? We split the difference, I paid $130. And the woman had the balls to ask for an apology. MISERABLE COMPANY, no wonder the owner is looking to hire drivers. Nothing good to say about this company, apparently I'm not the first. read more
