Great company, staff is knowledgeable and sincere. There's always a lot going on in the shop, buying and selling. Huge selection of bullion and graded products. I live the dynamic price menu the clearly shows buy/sell options for all the popular precious metals. Definitely put on your itinerary of visiting from out of town, and if you aren't local you can find them on the various streaming platforms.

What an amazing experience! I arrived five minutes before closing. I had traveled for 30 min to arrive before they closed. When I arrived, I was informed by the security guard that they were closed. I asked him to please ask someone if I could be allowed in due to my travel time. He came out with a big smile and "yes, please come in". He made my day!!! 15 min later I walked out with a check in hand. Service was a "10" experience was a "10".

How long does it normally take to conclude a sale? I sold my gold and silver a week ago, and I've seen the test wire succeed, but have not seen the rest of the funds.

Hi I was wondering do you grade pennies and if you do how much does it cost ? Thank You Sir?

Hi Silvia, thanks for your question, the best thing to do would be to bring the coins to our showroom and we can grade and appraise them for you free of charge. See you soon.

How much is a 1893 s silver dollar worth?

Hi Karen, thanks for the question. Please bring the coin into our shop and we can then properly evaluate the Dollar. We need to see it in person.

My husband and I are huge Pokemon fans and we love to open and collect cards. But with the surging popularity of this hobby, many stores such as Target, GameStop, and other collectible places sometimes increase their prices, so it's not worth it to buy them overpriced. Gamescape keeps their prices as MSRP and their staff is very friendly. They keep it simple and easy with their Pokemon trading card items behind the counter and if they have more, they'll tell you and if they're not, they're out. None of that "hiding items from customers" nonsense that you see from other stores because they want to keep it for themselves, and etc. I also appreciate them accepting our donations of Pokemon items and accessories such as playmats, dice, binders, etc. After opening Pokemon cards, my husband and I do not need 10+ playmats, bunch of dice, and countless binders. With all of these in "never used" conditions, we would rather donate them to kids who would appreciate them more and have fun with them. I definitely do not want to sell those to kids or others as well, since they are free items with the Pokemon cards. Gamescape accepted our donations and was very appreciative. Thank you Gamescape for being one of the few places who sells their Pokemon items at MSRP and allowing us to enjoy this hobby without burning our $$$ too much lol

I started coming again now that I got into model kit building and painting and I have a totally new appreciation for this place. Due to the small size of the store, the selection is not comprehensive, but I always find very cool things every time I come in. I usually shop for gunpla, military model kits, game miniatures, and hobby supplies like paints and glues. I'm fine with paying a bit more to support a local store, but I'm always pleasantly shocked that prices here are either roughly the same as online or cheaper! I don't keep up with anime figure prices anymore so I can't tell you if the prices on those are as competitive. I can only vouch for the model kits/miniatures/supplies. The biggest downside is the place is super cramped, but in a way it's also somewhat of a plus because I can look around at the various stacked boxes and find lots of treasures. Plus the person behind the counter (think he's the owner?) is very nice and patient.

The store offers a variety of collectible/fun items at competitive and relatively low prices. They have a rotating and wide selection of figures from various franchises that other stores in the Japantown mall might not have, even the Kinokuniya. During my last visit (12/17/2025) in particular I remember they had a huge selection of Spy Family figures and many of the Project Sekai Sega Prize figures but they also carry other merch from many other franchises like JJBA, Love Live, and MHA. The store limits its capacity to six customers at a time but that's only because they have so much items in the store! The employees are very nice and help get the items you want quickly, every item I've purchased from here has been unopened and in perfect condition. Highly recommend this store

To the person that flagged my original review of Alex's gift shop…read more... Seriously, get a fucking life. I've written 800 reviews on Yelp now, so if I'm vague about something, it's because I want you to experience it for yourself. You, on the other hand, are probably the type of d-bag kid who wanted to know exactly what they were getting on Christmas morning, so you could calmly walk down the stairs, methodically open your presents, and put them aside in perfect order, marking each with an asset tag and dollar amount. Maybe you'll unflag my original review when you get a job with actual responsibility, move out of your parent's place, or get laid. Since I don't foresee any of those things happening in my lifetime, I'll just tell you about Alex's and spoil all the fun, if that's how you want it to be. If you've ever ridden the 38 bus, I'm sure you've noticed Alex's Gift Shop. It's got a bright yellow awning with red letter, advertising the various items they have for sale. This includes batteries, telephones, socks, "hardwares", "walkman & CD", and by the way tear gas. Yup, you read it right. TEAR GAS. Now, the thing about the tear gas is it's been some effort to scratch it off the awning. This is because, as far as I can tell, they do not sell tear gas here. They don't see "walkman" or CDs, either. But what they do have is an amazing selection of cheap housewares and tools. I got: - Nice new can opener with bottle opener built in - $3.99 - Turnover Spatula - $3.99 - Bag of small zip ties, 5 colors - $1.99 Mom was doing inventory and her daughters, who couldn't have been more than 8, were working the register. The total came to $12.01, which is obviously wrong, since it should have been under $11 after tax. But this is the TL. I was way too drunk to do that math at the time. Looking at the receipt, something got rung up at $4.99 instead of $3.99. But whatever - the point is, had I shopped at BBB and HD for this items, it would have cost twice as much. Yay Alex's Gift Shop!
