I've had such a great experience here. I came in as a new patient for a cleaning and got started with Invisalign treatment. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming. Dr. Withers is very informative, took the time to answer all of my questions, and made sure I understood everything throughout the process. I've felt really comfortable and well taken care of. I'm so happy I found this office and would definitely recommend them! read more

An AWESOME dentist and team! Last week I had a cleaning with hygienist Brandy, and WOW -- she is very nice, upbeat and thorough yet gentle. I will definitely have all my follow up cleanings with her. Then this week I had to have a crown, and a self-report, I am a dental Fraidy Cat! Dr. Withers (aka Dr Brian), is so understanding and helped me stay calm during the procedure. His wingwoman, Dental Assistant Melissa, was very kind and caring. They both did not rush me and checked frequently to ensure I was okay. The procedure went very quickly and painlessly. The cherry on top is Dr. Brian called me that evening to check on me and be sure I was not experiencing any discomfort. WOWWOWWOW! That's "old school" service and care for your patient. I cannot express how much I appreciated the call. This level of true caring plus his expert knowledge and conservative approach is why my whole family goes to Withers Dental. We continue to recommend his and his team to everyone! read more

Dr.Withers is the BEST dentist ever!! He made me feel very comfortable and gave me a beautiful smile. I'm so happy I found a new dentist.

awesome job every time I enter the office and they keep things clean and it's welcoming

I'm from NJ and had an emergency while visiting friends in the area. My permanent crown became dislodged. I called the office at 4:45pm and explained the situation and need to get the crowns reset. The office staff explained they were closing at 5:00, but could help me the next day. I went on for a noon appointment and was met with bite friendliest team I have ever encountered in dentistry, or any medical practice. The hygienist, I'm sorry I forgot her name, was AMAZING! friendly, nice, attentive! And Dr. Withers was just as nice and attentive to a one time patient! If you're lucky enough to live in the area do yourself a favor and go to Withers Dental! read more

Another GREAT visit to Withers Dental! I love all of the staff, but this visit, had probably the best cleaning of my life with new hygienist, Irene. A perfect match for me: Irene was so gentle (but very thorough!!!) and was comforting and reassuring throughout. What a wonderful experience. I left feeling very well taken care of; more like when you leave a hair or nail appt!!! Thank you, Irene :) Highly recommend Irene and Withers Dental! read more

Dr. Withers is very good at explaining what's going on in your mouth, in an easy-to-understand way. Also, he is honest. On more than one occasion, a family member was told they needed extensive and expensive dental work by another dentist, so I brought them here to ask Dr. Withers. Turned out it was not as bad as the other dentist made it out to be, and Dr. Withers explained and fixed it without breaking the bank. All the hygienists here are thorough, friendly, and careful with my sensitive gums so I don't end up with mouthfuls of blood for the rest of the day. Also the front desk is very friendly in person and on phone calls. read more

I have had more cavities than I can count but Dr. Withers and his team made filling each one super smooth and painless! The whole atmosphere is very relaxing and professional, taking the burden off a trip to the dentist. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Withers Dental as my experience has been absolutely awesome . read more

While I, fortunately, have a decent set of teeth, I have simultaneously been a bit of a dental chicken and not scheduling as many cleanings as you probably should in your adult life. Dr. B and Hygienist Jen took very good care of my first visit consultation and cleaning in Manhattan Beach location. Their approach was very sincere, straightforward, and genuine which is not the vibe at other dentists from my experience. Luckily this office is very close to my house and I look forward to making them my neighborhood spot when my teeth need some attention. I highly recommend Withers Dental to family, friends, and all my South Bay neighbors. Nick p.s. Ask Dr. B to share his mammoth mountain analogy when looking at your gum line :) read more

Been with this dental group since 1986. Only problem is the parking. Started with the father, James Withers, and still continuing with the son, Brian. They are excellent. read more

Withers Dental is a gem! I was recommended by good friends, and felt so welcomed and taken care of when I arrived for my first appointment. Dr. Brian and his team are consummate professionals, put me at ease, and gave me the most thorough review of my teeth & gum health that I've ever received. I know I'm in the best of hands at Withers Dental and who knew it could actually be fun to go to the dentist?! read more

Brian and his staff are awesome! Top notch, top notch!! He is probably the only dentist I've ever been too that makes the experience bearable. What a honest and caring person. He and his staff kick ass! read more

Dr. Brian Withers is the Vincent van Gogh of cosmetic dentistry! After years of being embarrassed and self conscious of my teeth I finally have the smile of my dreams. I was a little nervous at first but he is so warm and cheerful and really funny that I felt completely comfortable and at ease the entire time. The entire staff made me feel like family. I give Withers Dental my highest recommendation. read more

I am a dental chicken. I was treated so kindly at Dr Withers dental office by everyone, from Sonja who I first spoke to on the phone and helped squeeze me in as I was having a dental emergency. All the ladies at the front of the house were very kind and extremely helpful with insurance questions and explaining their in house insurance ( which is a real deal !). Kathy and Norina were both very gentle and patient with me and I left with clean teeth and a new dentist that I feel comfortable with and that I can trust. Dr. Withers is not only the nicest guy he seems extremely qualified, fair, and honest. So grateful to have found a new dentist read more

If you are looking for a professional office that treats you kindly and has great dentists, this is your place. I have been a patient there for nearly (if not over) a decade. I send all my friends as well. I am a nervous Nelly in the dentist chair and they are super about describing what will happen so I can be more calm. The doctors and staff are friendly and you can tell they care about all of their patients. They are also great with kids. I highly recommend this office for you and your family. You will not be disappointed. read more

If you are looking for care, professionalism, and friendly practice, Withers Dental, is the place to go! My previous dentist retired, and I regret going with the dentists that took over his practice: I did not know what a bad dentist was until I had 2 veneers poorly done (wrong size and color) that I paid big $$$. I was so lucky to find Dr. Withers and his team, Martha, Ana, Kathy...they are just amazing! They understood my needs immediately, cared about my medical condition, and did an amazing job! Dr. Withers himself checked on me after each treatment and ensured that my veneer size and color matched my teeth. He was in contact with the lab, making them the entire time. He and his team always take the time to explain to you what has to be done and answer any questions. You can even text or call Dr. Withers after office hours, and he will get back to you immediately. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Withers and his whole team! Now my whole family is going there. read more

Many years with this practice and I find their staff to be friendly, courteous and professional. Dr James Withers always did a great job. Dr Brian has continued to provide caring, honest care. I trust their diagnosis and work. Love the dental hygienists here as well!! Thanks!!! read more

Dr. Withers is a great dentist and truly cares about his patients. I was relatively new to the area and was in an emergency situation where I majorly chipped my front tooth. Even as a new patient, Dr Withers was able to see me right away and fit me in immediately after hours. He did a great job on my cosmetic repair, it's truly amazing that you would never know I lost a large portion of my tooth. He took the time to explain everything he was going to do and made sure I felt extremely comfortable through the process. I will definitely be a patient moving forward and would highly recommend him for any dental needs. read more

Very impressed with my new patient visit yesterday. Dr. Withers and staff are professional, personable, organized, with exceptional attention to detail. Tracy (and the rest of the front desk), hygenist Jennifer, knowledgeable Martha and especially Dr. Withers answered questions in detail and explained all procedures. I felt safe with all of the Covid precautions. Dr. Withers called me at home later to see how I was doing! I will be returning soon to complete my crowns. Highly recommended. read more

I disliked dentists so much that I did not go to one for over a decade. A friend recommended Withers Dental and now I never miss a cleaning or any other dental appointment. Dr. Withers and staff provide excellent service, respectful of your time, and I am 100% confident I am receiving highly competent dental care. read more

Since making my switch to Withers Dental I can honestly say that I am so happy I did. Sonja and Tracy ALWAYS welcome me with a smile that you can still notice even with there . They really make me feel special every time regardless of all of the extra steps that are and needed to be taken for our safety. And what can i say about Dr. Jen... she is absolutely amazing ! She is so gentle, and explains everything she is doing and why. I always leave with a lot of great tips and knowledge to keep my teeth and mouth clean and healthy. The numbing process is something that I always hated as a kid and I will admit as an adult as well ...but with Jen I seriously didn't feel any pain and everything was just seem less. At the end of the day it comes down to the people, and I can say hand to my heart they truly care. I strongly recommend Withers Dental. WITHERS dental is by far the best dentists I've had in Los Angeles. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. They are very polite and the office is clean and comfortable. I've only ever had great experiences. The parking is easy and I love that they are available for Saturday appointments when necessary. I recently had a wisdom tooth pulled here and I was extremely anxious, nervous, and basically freaking out but they calmed me down and made the process as smooth as butter! They weren't lying when they said it would take a minute. It was pulled and out on my merry way, and it healed up quick! I live in West Hollywood and make the trek over just for their excellent service! read more

THE BEST! I love my teeth (and so should you) so it's a real serious search for me to find the best. After asking every person I know, and every person they know, the overwhelming response was for Dr Brian. He and his amazing staff were better than advertised. The front office is polite and efficient. Waiting area is clean (great coffee and bottled water while you wait, and the cooking channel is usually on the TV, but I never get to watch much cause there is never a wait. Cleaning is so paramount to me. It makes everything else easier. Also making for less issues or larger problems. The ladies are quick painless and do a great job. But if you do have bigger problems, Dr. Brian is the man. Old enough to have plenty of experience but young enough to be up on All the newest cool stuff and techniques. He explains everything to you and doesn't keep asking dumb questions while there are 12 instruments in your face hole. I live in LA proper. There are a ton of great dentists here in town. But I still drive out to Manhattan Beach for Dr. Brian!!! read more

Absolutely LOVE going to the dentist now!! Dr. Brian Withers is the most kind, funny, good natured and skilled Dentist I have ever been to. I really appreciate the time he takes to explain what needs do be done and why. He executes each procedure with expertise that far exceeds any other oral surgeon I have been in the care of. I had a molar removed last time I went to see him, and it was out and I was on my way quickly and without any pain- I was truly amazed!! I highly recommend him and his staff for any of your dental needs. read more

My dentist of 30 years retired as I was super bummed out cause I didn't know who to switch to. I delightfully met Dr Brian Whithers office and staff now! Starting on the phone- they are so polite and helpful selecting a day that works with my full schedule. The front lounge is decorated very nice and clean with beverages as patients wait. I also really enjoy how family like run the office feels. Although it's a Dr office it feels like warm home vibe. I also like that fact that there a few Dr on site one being the original Dr Withers himself and his son Brian- I highly recommend this dentist office and very happy with the fresh change. It's great to know the youth of Dr Brian so that it gives me peace of mind I won't have to change my dentist for some time now. I am aware that many people have terrible experiences and trauma around even thinking about headed to the dentist. This office is nothing like that- it's actually very humbling to know. Although I am a new patient they treat me like they've known me since I was 5 like my other dentist. I am pleasantly surprised and grateful to be new patient and plan sticking at this office forever. My teeth being clean and working on my new crown. Smiling ear to ear! read more

I was overdue for Cleaning & X-Rays. I also didn't have insurance. Dr. Withers office had a great policy that was very economical and exactly what I was looking for. I was done in a couple of hours. Overall Review: I just got home from having my permanent bridge put in by Dr. Brian Withers. I can not say enough good things about this dental office, but I'm going to try. I moved to LA about four years ago, prior to this, I had the same dentist since I was a baby. I neglected my teeth for the last four years due to the fear of choosing a new dentist that wasn't MY dentist. I took a shot in the dark based on other reviews online, I'm very happy with where the shot landed. Because of the length of time since my last dentist visit, I had to go through the gauntlet of the "welcome back to the dentist" routine. All four quads of my mouth needed deep cleaning, as well as a full replacement of my left front bridge (had some decay under it that needed attention). I dreaded all of this, as most anyone would. On top of all of this, I was just weeks away from my healthcare plan running out at work due to my employer going bankrupt. I had to move fast if I was going to have any hope of having my much needed work covered. Karen, Uni, Martha, and Dr Brian Withers all bent over backwards to help expedite the entire process. There wasn't enough time left to schedule me for all the work I needed before my insurance ran out due to their appointments being booked for the upcoming weeks. Karen calledl me every time there was any cancellation at all, giving me a chance to get all of my deep cleanings done in the first two weeks. Then the bridge replacement... Karen managed to expedite the insurance approval by hounding my provider, all just in time to get the work done two days before my insurance ran out, saving me several thousands dollars. I felt like I was being taken care of by people who cared about what happened to me rather then an office that just wanted my money. I am more then happy with all of the work that Dr Brian Withers did for me. My new bridge looks amazing. Even my temporary bridge I had on while they made my permanent one looked great. Thank you Martha! Individual Reviews : Dr Brian Withers - Perfectionist in a good way. If you aren't happy with his work, then neither is he. He takes the time to explain the entire process of whatever he's doing. Not in a rush to get out of the room, you feel like you have the time and opportunity get any question on your mind (about your teeth) answered. He is down to earth and easy to talk to. Martha - A Knowledgeable and skilled dental assistant. She is personable and entertaining. You start to forget that you are sitting in the dentist chair waiting to get shots in your mouth due to the pleasant conversation with this woman. She is very attentive to your needs and tries to do anything she can to help you feel more comfortable. Karen - I feel like I owe this sweet lady a bouquet of flowers for everything she did for me. Very understanding and willing to work with whatever schedule you have. She always has a smile on her face and seems genuinely interested in the small talk that one always has to do when sitting in a doctors waiting room. Uni - I didn't get to speak with her as much, but I got the same vibe from her as I did from everyone else in the office in my few interactions with her. Danielle - Great dental hygienist. She could note have made my deep cleaning more pleasant and painless. Very friendly and skilled. I had at least one more person there work in my mouth, although I don't remember her name and she only did one quadrant of the deep cleaning. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist in the Manhattan Beach area. I would even recommend this office to those out of the area. I live in Palos Verdes, and even though it's a little bit of a drive to get to Withers Dental, it's worth it 110%. read more

I don't know why there are two listings for this, but know that Withers Dental is the same as Withers James C DDS. My review shall stay the same as with the other listing: I've been coming to this dentist for years, and they've always been so helpful and caring. Martha was gentle and kind when she took impressions for my mouth guard. I'd recommend Withers Dental to anyone. read more

I have gone to Withers dental my whole life. Dr. Jim Withers for the first 25 years and Dr. Brian for the past few. It has been a perfectly seamless transition from father to son, so much so that Dr Brian stepped in when I broke my front tooth in a bicycle accident. The repair was so perfect that I often forget which tooth is the repaired one (I doubt if you could tell). Thanks Dr Withers to you and your staff for being so helpful in my time of need. I am excited to see all of the new technology they are bringing to the practice enhancing the patient experience. read more

Withers Dental is consistently my "fixer" for all my dental family's care for over 35 years. Dr Brian Withers and his "right hand" Marta are so caring and professionally skilled that going "to the dentist" is never an anxious experience. Dr Brian is funny , ever cheerful and fully present, explaining all observations and the procedures to fix the problem as painlessly and quickly as possible. His range of skills is enhanced by his very knowledgeable use of "the most current equipment and technology. Marta seamlessly keeps the flow of all procedures moving swiftly ahead. All the staff in the Front office are friendly and super efficient. Much appreciation to all the office for consistent care of all our dental "opportunities ". Don't want to miss a "shout out" Thanks to Dr Jenna and all the oral hygienists who also complete the exceptional full care that Withers Dental of Manhattan Beach provides. Pamela O'Mara read more

I've been a patient of the Withers' dental practice for many years. The work of Dr. James Withers often prompted unsolicited praise from other dentists that I needed to see for specialized care. Several months back, Dr. James Withers fully retired, and Dr. Brian Withers has taken over the office with the assistance of Dr. Jenna Atwood. Since then, there seems to be less attention to detail and careful consideration of alternative treatments. In one case, I sought a second opinion from another dentist, and as a result, totally rejected the recommendation of Dr. Brian Withers. Yes, the office is friendly and jovial, but I don't primarily go to a dentist for a good time. Hence my rating is only three stars until they prove they're better than average. read more

I must say the work I had done by Dr. Jenna was phenomenal. It's just too bad that I was "quoted" one price and then ended up being charged seven times the amount because the office manager failed to recheck my insurance. Especially since "all the work" I had done was either in their office or referred by them to get prepared for "work" they "needed" to do. The way the owner, Dr Brian and office manager handled my situation was absolutely absurd. I do not recommend coming here. Do yourself a favor and find a better trained management staff and owner. read more
