9/10/14 This a fun place/way to celebrate Haloween. I checked the website and found admission ticket is $33-$23 if pre-ordered before Oct 1 for Thursday night visit. What I'm wondering is if reg admission is $33, why does Groupon cost $39 with a claim of 41% savings over reg price of $66. What am I missing??? read more

It was a very fun time. We did all four attractions and the actors in all four were very good. It wasnt busy at all and we got into all of the attractions in good time! I would recommend this place to everyone! read more

Went here on Halloween and really enjoyed it. Great value for $30. Thought the "actors" were all into it. The haunted hayride was prbably my favorite part. I also liked the random people walking around in great costumes (Michael Myers, Jason, Dracula, a giant red demon guy, among others) that would follow you around. Added another elemet of creepiness. Not 5 stars bc I do think some of the houses could have been a little better staffed and a couple of them seemed on the short end. read more

We attended opening night on Friday, granted it was drizzly and chilly but there really wasn't much going on. It seemed to me they must have been short staffed. The hayride had huge potential but fell short by far, however we had "Bob the warlock" as our tour guide he was great and very entertaining. Maybe we just went on an off night but I really feel it was extremely overpriced for what we got. There are scarier things walking south main in Worcester in the daylight than we saw at this place that night. read more

I hadn't been to Witches Woods for a few years. Wow, it is better than ever! The lines were long, and we didn't get to go on the hayride as there was more than a two hour wait, but they definitely know how to keep people entertained while they're waiting in line! They have movie screens at a couple of the attractions, entertaining characters walking around, and even fire poi performers. The fire performances by Cirque De Light was absolutely incredible! They performed while we were waiting in one line, and it was hard to move forward in line, because we were so mesmerized by them. They also performed at times in the middle of the park. The attractions were entertaining, particularly when we were behind freaked out kids. The 3D attraction had incredible artwork. They have a carnival now, which was new to me. That was pretty cool. The workers were so in-character and were fun to interact with. I love the feel of this place! This was definitely my favourite Halloween event in the area this year! This is a must see! Just be prepared to get there early to cut down the length of time you spend in line. read more

OK at best, honestly. The houses themselves were not very detailed or dark, and were over way too soon. The place could have a lot of potential, but due to lackluster acting and set design, the scares may have been alright for the myriad of thirteen year-old girls running through the place, but for me and the rest of my group, just warranted an occasional jump, and some fun laughs. The houses seemed empty and understaffed, and by the end of the third (last) one, I was lamenting spending thirty dollars. There was a cute pumpkin patch and set of movie vignettes as well. The most redeeming part of Witch's Woods is, hands down, its hayride. The hayride isn't very scary, but what it lacks in scares, it makes up for in fun. It leaves room for improvement and expanding on half-cooked ideas, but overall it was a ball, the narration being well-done and enjoyable to listen to. There were a bunch of cool statues on the way in to the hayride and were some of the spookiest things in the little park. If there was one overarching problem, it was that it seemed a little too empty. I would think twenty dollars would be a much more reasonable price for what we got. read more

This place was a HUGE disappointment. The actual structures are very well put together and the art work is great however the "actors" are not scary at all. At the end of the hayride they ask you to scream so the next people in line think it was scary. I should be screaming from being scared not from being asked to. At other haunted houses the "actors" would slowly sneak up behind you so you would be freaked on when you turn around. The people here scream before they even get close to you so you know they are coming. I would not go back here. Unless you go with little kids i would skip this and go to a better haunted house. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Witches Woods for the first time over the weekend and were both thoroughly disappointed. The website makes the attraction out to be much scarier and adult oriented than it actually is. As others have said in reviews, it would be great for kids and tweens. We are in our late twenties and felt too old to be there- there were a LOT of teens dropped off in groups- most of them were disrespectful, obnoxious. While the intention of this attraction is good, it is not well carried out and was somewhat lame for the price. read more

I enjoy going here every year! I don't think this is the type of haunted park for adults who really like to be scared, but someone who just wants a good spook and Halloween fun, Witches Woods doesn't disappoint. They have multiple features - the hayride is always my favorite. Their decorations and actor prosthetics are very elaborate. There's always plenty of parking and lots of entertainment between each attraction - goblins walking around, movies being projected on large screens, dancing zombies - it's always a great time! read more

Super expensive and not worth it at all! The lines were ridiculously long and for the price we paid, I expected much more.

We have been coming to Witch's Woods for the past 9 seasons, and this was the most disappointing experience by far. The prices border on gouging at $32 a ticket for four attractions where workers seemed apathetic at best. Unfortunately, that's just the tip of the iceberg. We witnessed workers in costume smoking beside the haunted houses, swearing loudly to each other in front of customers every time we passed a booth or haunted house. Finally, when we went into the haunted mansion my husband touched a cabinet knob to see if it was real. He wasn't being malicious or disrespectful, he literally put his fingers on it inquisitively. He was approached by the doctor in character who chastised my husband for literally two minutes telling him its because of punks like him that they've already had to replace $700 in props and that he would call the police. My husband did not respond back so the worker continued to berate him asking if he speaks and that he could turn around and get out and reiterated that he could call the police. My husband did not say a word and we just exchanged glances and the worker walked away shaking his head. I'm sure Witch's Woods deals with a lot of punk teenagers but my husband is not one of them and there was absolutely no need to berate. A simple "please don't touch" would have been sufficient. I plan to escalate this privately but want all potential patrons to know what their $32 a ticket will buy them - mediocre attractions and terrible customer service. Next year we'll spend our money at places that actually work for their customers. read more

For $37 I expected a lot more. There were 5 haunted attractions included in the price along with carnival rides. We started out doing the haunted houses first. 3 out of the 5 were mediocre at best. They felt very lazy and needed some updating. The characters definately didnt seem like they wanted to be there and not much effort was given. The 4th attraction was a vampire theme and there were maybe 2 cast members through out the entire thing! So, for about a five minute walk youre just looking at mechanical decorations and fancy lights. The haunted hay ride was the best of all 5. However when you go, don't expect hay on this hay ride. You sit on a flat bed with your legs dangling off while actors scream and run around you. The ride narrator was actually very funny and personable. Now the carnival rides... There are 3 rides you can go on, the round up, the boat and a spinning cart ride. The cart ride (cant remember the name) had the most crass worker I have ever met! I'm not someone who is very PC or prudish when it comes to language,however, if I didnt know when to pick my battles I would have told him to stick it where the sun doesnt shine. He was swearing at the guests, telling them "he doesnt give a f#!$ about your groups!, I don't play that f#%$×%@ game" " Don't f#$% up my ride with groups" and "don't ride my ride! I couldnt care less if you don't want to have fun!" I'm sorry but for $37 a person, maybe you should be nice to your customers or even just dont swear at them? I can honestly say I most likely will not be back. Definitely not worth the money. If you wanna spend that much money just go to canobie lake or six flags for your haunted enjoyment. read more

went w a few friends, and had a great time!!! i actually lost my phone in one of the haunted houses, and they were SO helpful with finding it for me. especially sue, who was the person letting people into the castle haunted house, was SOO helpful and was absolutely amazing. read more

If I could give it zero stars, I would. This place robs you for money, with tickets being $35 per person, and the actors being awful. The hay ride takes forever to get on, and when you do, the actors are horrible, fake, and they just run alongside of the tractor begging for water and occasionally saying "rawr" in your face. Everything is super lit up so nothing is really a surprise. The other attaractions were just as bad, there's a little section with showcases of supposedly "scary" things, and it was all just so lame. If I was 15 years younger (I'm 22) then maybe it would be a little creepy, but it's totally not worth the money at all. My fiance and I left early because it was so bad, but our friends stayed to see the last attraction. After waiting in line for 45 minutes, the thing closed due to a flood or water damage, and they wouldn't give them any money back even though that attraction was one of the 3 that your ticket paid for. I've been to several other places in Ma, NH, and RI, that were much more scary, so save your money, don't torture the family and friends, and take your business elsewhere. read more

Went last nite, a week nite, w/another couple. There were more actors just SCREAMING in your face than scaring anyone. Crypt Keeper had ho-hum narrow winding paths with grafitti on the walls & very few actors ready for people coming in. Lots of empty chairs, no gorey scenes to get your attention while someone came up behind you.. just a body every now & then you could spot moving & 3D re-used paper glasses that kept falling off your nose. The Mansion had promise, but fizzled. More winding paths to nowhere & a few props here & there. Could have done so much more with moveable props dropping down on you or things that moved in the dark. But every now & then a body chased you for a few steps & retreated. The Castle was the best when a bloody cop came up silently very close behind my lady & placed his club on her shoulder as she was chatting away in line...then she turned around & nearly jumped back on top of both my shoes! There was more fright in the Castle, but actors lacked training in scare tactics. Too many statues like the witch standing still behind plexi glass in mediocre scenes. Even Grandin Road has animatronics that have life size witches who say witchy things while cackling & stirring a caldron. The few animatronics there were good & captured the audience attention, but were too few.The Hayride was a joke...NO HAY ON THE HAYRIDE! Not even a few bales to say it was a HAY ride. The narrator saved the ride by telling a tale as we drove along, sitting on the edge of the wagon as more kids came up on us SCREAMING in our faces. The chop saw boys were pretty good with real chain saws (without blades) they put so close to your bodies that the wagon vibrated...& the actor who climbed aboard from behind & nearly sawed the riders was scary good. Some zombies played their parts well & limped towards you as dead-like ghouls should do...while others just couldn't think of anything to do but SCREAM at you & run back & forth. I even tried the Psychic who literally did NOT have a voice & had to whisper the reading, never once explaining what each of the cards meant that she quickly turned over saying not to worry so much & my life would be full of good things. For this 5 minute whisper I handed her a $20. Ugggh. If I hadn't used a Groupon coupon, I would have felt very ripped off for $32 p/p general admission. However, the Outlook Restaurant got 4 stars for good food & service. We did get the one waitress who was a Vegan & said we could order what we wanted, but she wouldn't touch the meat...not knowing where it came from. What the *@#!@ ? read more
