I was in the end satisfied with the work, but there were some issues I want to share. My Prius had major front bumper work and a minor scrunch in the rear bumper caused by backing over a parking stanchion. I was quoted $1100 for the front bumper and $150 for the back. When I dropped it off I signed an authorization to proceed with repair based on the estimate, without actually seeing the estimate. That was my first mistake. Andrew, the hard to reach manager, called me mid-day and told me they would need two additional parts that would raise the price by $50. I approved the change and when I dropped my wife off to pick up the vehicle I told her the charge would be $1300. ($1250 plus $50, right?) Well, it was $1300 but for the front bumper only--they had not touched the rear bumper, not thinking I wanted that done as well. I spoke to Andrew on the phone and pointed out that $1100 plus $50 would be $1150, not $1300. He said the two parts which he had not known he would need cost nearly $100 each. I wonder how a body shop is able to not know what parts are needed when it estimates a repair, and if insurance companies put up with this. (We were paying for the job ourselves since we have a high collision deductible.) A few days later I dropped off my car for the rear bumper work and there was no record of the appointment. Andrew had been fired and the new guy Walt did not yet have access to the computer. So we made a handshake deal with him writing the estimate on a business card and I signing an estimate saying it was not to exceed $150 plus tax. I got the car back, and the work was as expected and the price actually lower. Walt is directly responsible for raising my rating to A-OK. But I advise you to assume nothing and insist on seeing the estimate, especially if you are paying for the work yourself.

Walt is the man!!! I have brought my car in following an accident probably 5 times in the last 4 or…read more5 years and each time it leaves lookong brand new. He is straightforward and hard working and easy to work with. He is good with helping with insurance companies and rental places too, one time when rental company A was out of rentals that day, he drove me in his personal vehicle to rental company B or C to get it, making lemonade out of lemons. Each time i need to go back, he remembers me from the time before now too. I would give his place 6 stars if it was possible to. Ill never get body work done anywhere else as long as hes still there.
