This boarding facility almost killed my dog and didn't even apologize or refund any of his stay…read moreeven though we had to pick him up half way through his stay. I boarded my dog here for what was supposed to be a six night stay over Christmas while we stayed with family about 15 minutes away. After three days they called me to tell me that they hadn't been able to feed or give water to my dog and hadn't bothered to call me even though I had emailed every day and told them I could come get him if they were having trouble. He is very aggressive towards people he doesn't know so I called beforehand to make sure they would be able to handle him and they assured me they could. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. Three days without food or water could've easily killed him and we couldn't even get an apology. On top of that, they left the leash on him in his kennel (which he then chewed off - they also decided they wouldn't pay to replace the leash) so he easily could've died if it caught on something. Lastly, they didn't clean out his kennel so he was in a small cement room without food or water, attached to his leash, and laying in his own poop and pee. I cannot emphasize how awful this place is. They couldn't do the bare minimum and apologize or give a reason as to why they didn't call us or respond to my emails. It was beyond unprofessional and considering this was about our dog who we love very much, the owner could've done ANYTHING to make this better but all he did was tell us he "didn't want to have a back and forth so we should leave the premises." Please please please if you care about your dog, take them ANYWHERE else. Literally anywhere. Leaving them at home alone would be better than leaving it with these incompetent, unapologetic boors. I can only pray that they will be shut down before they actually kill someone's dog.

Huge fan of The Dog Wash in Flagstaff, AZ…read more If I lived in town, I would want a monthly package if they offered one, but I'll just remain jealous that nothing like this exists back in my hometown in New Mexico. For just over $25, I was able to use the tub without breaking my back or doing yoga poses to give our big girl a bath. She's about 70 pounds so this place was a huge help. The touchscreen guides you through a multi-step process. The water took a while to warm up - like a good two minutes, but once it did it was a steady stream of soapy water for the initial step. Then it moved onto the conditioning - or was it the flea bath? I forget all the sequencing, but it was easy to follow along all the way through the drying process. The young woman who checked us in explained the process. Gave us extra towels and guided us to the various brushes from which we could choose. Showed us where to properly discard everything. Then she returned to her cave in the back. Lol. My Black Mouth Cur didn't really need the grooming table and I keep her nails grinded down, but they do have that plus nail trimmers & other grooming tools. This place was clean although it was just us that morning before 9 for about a half hour on November 23, 2025. Parking was free & plentiful. Again, I'm such a fan and my dog did very well in great part due to the easy set-up.

The attention, consistency, and genuine care they show really stands out. They are a full care facility that was able to provide three times a day hay, twice a day grain and supplement feeding, fly spray, blanketing, and met the farrier with my horse while I was away. Stalls were cleaned twice daily, with pellet bedding replaced as needed. I always felt very comfortable with stall cleanliness for my horse! Additionally, Sheri was very flexible and accommodating to my horses needs while we were working through some weight and health issues, changing up his feeding routine until we got it figured out. Sheri and Glen are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and supportive, and made me feel as though I had a second home with them. It makes a big difference being around people who not only love what they do but also create such a positive and encouraging environment. I'm very grateful to have been part of Simply A Barn and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place that treats both horses and people with kindness and respect!
