This is such a hard review! 4 stars for the comedy, 0 stars for service! Our tickets mentioned doors opened at 8:30 for the 9:00pm show. But the website itself encourages you to get there 45-60 minutes prior. We arrived at 7:45 and checked in and got our hand stamp. At 8:30 an employee I believe came out asking the line if we all had our hand stamps and I overheard someone ask if we'd be going in, and he said first show ran late so this show wouldn't start till around 9:30. But it wasn't an official announcement. We finally were shuttled in at 9pm. Our server who had no name badge took our drink order along with others seated nearby. We waited about 10min before she came back and asked us again for our order. Obviously we repeated it, and it took another 10ishmin or so to get our drinks! By now the show is starting. We finished our drinks during the first act. Server hadn't been back and our drinks empty. First act is horrible & political and I really could have used another drink! She also gave us and charged us for bottled water while others nearby were served tap water?!?! Now the Main act was starting and he is hilarious! However, server still nowhere to be found and it's now after 10pm! I finally flagged down another server to ask if she could ask our server to check in us. She offered to take our order asking if we wanted the same drinks, I replied yes, 10 min go by and that server kindly informed us our drinks would be on the way. 10 mins more and our server says she got our order but the bar is backed up it'll be a few more minutes. Meanwhile EVERY ONE around us with different servers have gotten multiple drinks and food orders delivered throughout this tine. Finally we get our second round of drinks about an hour after we arrived. We drink those and it would have been nice to have a 3rd round but instead all other waitresses who had been serving up food and drink non stop are now issuing tabs as the show is nearly over. So we also get our tab. I came here to enjoy my anniversary with my husband. Enjoy some drinks and laugh a lot. Sadly I my experience was ruined by an inattentive server who I I think was named Chanz based on my receipt?! Should have left no tip but we aren't that kinda folk. read more

Doors opened a little late but not a big deal as we were the late show. Service was friendly and helpful. Seating was well placed so no "bad seats". Ambiance was good with clean tables and floors and a neat presentation. We were a little cold but were under the AC vent. Food wasn't bad. "Mid" as the kids say. Drinks were fairly priced as was food. 5 drinks, 2 meals, two deserts for around 100$. I REALLY appreciated the no heckling policy or generally don't be an @$$. They took that one seriously. I first visited the Wiseguys location in Downtown Salt Lake. For whatever reason, this location has higher prices. However, a perk to the West Jordan location over the Salt Lake location is that parking is much easier to find. Wiseguys in West Jordan is conveniently located next to shopping, grocery, lots of restaurants, and even dessert. The developers have done a great job at making the area look nice. During my visit, there was a bit of a wait outside, as the doors were not open yet. It was a quick process to get in the door and into the studio. They just needed to check people's tickets and IDs. I am weird and decided to sit in the very front, while most people wanted dibs on the very back. Once you get seated, a server comes by pretty quickly to take any food/drink orders you'd like. I wasn't in the mood for anything except water but I loved their buffalo chicken wrap at another location so I got the same thing here. It was just as delicious as it was last time, though I was not a fan of the fries. The fries themselves were very bland. As for the show itself, it was good but made me realize that I don't actually like comedy clubs that much. There is a lot of obligatory laughing at things that aren't funny at all. Sometimes I think there is laughing happening over the speakers or discounts/comps to those that laugh the most. I know, I am such a debby downer, but the show was just not really that funny at all. Yet, you feel like you have to laugh or it's rude and you could potentially get roasted for it. I do still appreciate the times that I have spent at Wiseguys and I hope to go to a fun event in the future. We always have a great time at wise guys! The comedians are great! We usually see a lot of the same guys rotate around, so we see them pretty regularly. But that's OK because they are funny. My favorite thing about going to wiseguys though is the food. I absolutely love getting the ultimate nachos with chicken! It is so delicious! I also get the chicken wings. My husband and I share both dishes so it's the perfect amount of food. That in the combination with the great comedians and the awesome staff it is a great night always. read more

You don't have to go downtown anymore to get a fun night out-look no further than our own little West Jordan for a local comedy club. The setup here is a long room, with the stage along one of the long sides. This ensures that everyone in the audience is close to the stage, making it a relatively intimate experience. I appreciate that-no bad seat in the house. Each experience will vary, depending heavily on both the comedian as well as the audience. If the jokes are not appropriate for the group or there is a lack of connection, it can make for an awkward show. But that goes without saying. And don't heckle the comedian, for God's sake. Nothing says "asshat" more than that type of behavior. In fact, if you do it, you may be escorted out of the club. Service here is ok, but not outstanding. With a 60-90 minute show start to finish, there's a limited amount of time to get food and drinks-and everyone wants to order at the same time. That makes it a little tricky, and I noticed the servers trying to keep up, but struggling. The food is ok-also not remarkable, but I don't think people go to a comedy club to be wowed by food. The comedians are what make or break the events at places like Wise Guys and then things like the venue and the service either make it better or worse. I thought getting into the venue was a speedy process and I thought our waiter was very attentive without being interruptive during the show. We ate the nachos and buffalo wings with fries. I also ordered a sea breeze cocktail that was a good size and had a nice taste. The only reason this place didnt get 5 stars is that getting out of this venue when there was a second show was a complete mess. Something must be done to organize the later show guests to check in, while allowing the finished show guests to leave. It was confusing and difficult to safely exit with the limited space of people. They really should have one employee navigating people inside and another employee or better signs stating the process for people leaving/entering the venue. read more

Went to see Henry Cho on a Thursday evening and it was terrific. If this review was just based on that, I'd give it a 5. For service, I gave it a 1. Where Wiseguys staff (Tiffany) failed was keeping track of customers and getting to them in a timely manner. We arrived at 6:10 PM and she didn't take our food order until close to show time at 7. Now, here's the thing. It was busy and I can cut her some slack on that, but the problem I had was there were customers who came after us and they got their food before we did. When our food finally came out it was about 7:15 so that wasn't too long of a wait. So, would I go back again? For entertainment, yes, but I'll be eating in advance before I show up again. read more

I live within very easy walking distance of this place and I love that! First, the food is pretty mediocre. It's not quite a full step up from concession stand food, even though it is a bit better than that. We've had the nachos, wings burger, salad, fries, probably a few other things. The consistency is not that good and at it's best it's middle of the road. But hey, you're there for the comedy, easier to laugh if you've got a full belly. So I'm not knocking them on that too hard. The drinks are also pretty okay. They have a decent, albeit limited, selection of greater than 4%abv (that's what is locally known as 3.2, because we use two different scales to measure alcohol content in in Utah, even when making direct comparisons... ABV vs ABW -- look it up, learn) beers in bottles and cans. They don't give you a glass, don't think it's an option unless you want a plastic cup. The mixed drinks are your very most basic 1oz of booze type mixed drinks. You can also get a reasonably priced shot to go with either your mixed drink or beer. Service has always been friendly and decently competent. If you sign up for their mailing list you'll often get freebie offers. Last weekend I got one and attempted to use it. It told me "all set, go to will call and get your tickets, Fine print: you've got to show up by 7:30 (for the 8pm show)." I get in line at 7:25, get to the counter at 7:27 and the person cannot find my name. They ask if I responded to the email. I say yes and suggest that I can show them my confirmation that I got seats. They tell me, well, you have to be here by 7:15 for that. I correct them that the email says 7:30, the couple standing behind us is like "Yeah 7:30" but she lets us know that it isn't the time, it's that they sold the rest of the seats. Okay lady, just tell us the free offer is based on availability, which I already knew. Don't lie about the time we need to show up. We simply said okay and left, and the couple behind us also left, because they were there for the free seats, too. No real stars off for being lied to, she was just trying to avoid confrontation, but handled it badly. We didn't start a confrontation and wouldn't have either way. But I get it. 3 Stars because the food is only worth 2, the drinks are worth 3 or 4 and the service, from the servers, is completely adequate. Little side note, I've been there twice when there was a little controversy, one time that made it into the news. First time was a female latina comedian who was heckled and security was starting to take the drunk woman out of there, but the comedian stopped them. That one was a 5 out of 10. The other one was a young black male comedian and a drunk woman started yelling at him and called him the N-word. He was the headliner, so I have no idea why this woman decided to come to his show if that's how she felt, but she was removed and I read about the incident in the Salt Lake Tribune. Anyway, go to have fun. If the comedian is using crowd interaction as part of their show, go for it. If that's not what they're doing at the moment, STFU and just enjoy the show. read more

Not a good experience over all. First off, the waitress literally disappeared for well over an hour leaving our entire section with no drinks or food. Needless to say she did not get a tip. Second, the men's restroom was disgusting and completely wet with urine on the floor. This is unacceptable! You'll walk out with sticky, wet pee on your shoes. Then there's the womens restroom. It was cleaner but the toilets had a difficult time flushing. Ok, I would deal with that if that was the only problem. And now for the content. The main comedian of the night, Patterson, over all was not good. Ok, so he had racism in his act and to a point, it might have been funny. But he took things to a whole other level with the audience getting several individuals involved in trashing on the Asian community, harshly. Also, there is so much violence in our world today, and Patterson was encouraging it. The audience was offended at several points. Heck, we all love to laugh but he was so bad he had lost the audience more than a couple times. The opening comedian on Thursday Aug 23, 2024 was GREAT! We would all like to see him again. But the over all experience; food and beverage service, condition of restrooms, and the main comedian Patterson, none of us will pay to return to this Jordan Landing location. read more

Interior of the location in South Jordan better than the old West Valley location. An upgrade I'd suggest to the owners is to install more couches or comfortable seating. I can see the value of having some of the rows of tables, however for a more "club" like feeling, the couches would be a nice upgrade. A lot of construction was going on around the location due to Jordan Landing building upgrades. Park on the North side of building to get best access. Food selections looked bar-like. I didn't order anything but looking at neighboring peoples orders the nothing made my stomach growl and "Yah!! I want some of that". I'd suggest a lot more desert selections. I suspect most people eat before the show (like I did) and a larger desert option would have been an excellent addition to the night. read more

This is a great place to come, have a meal and listen to some excellent comedy. The staff is super nice and go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. My husband is a huge fan of this place. We have been to both locations and had a great time. Both times we had great seating and I love that you can order food and drinks. A major plus for us. We feel spoiled when we get to be served at our seats. We saw Preacher and took some friends with us. I think it is a fantastic place to take clients and friends. read more

Great venue. Great food. Mostly great opening and main acts. We come to this location often and love it. That said, when the house is packed, service can be really, really horrible. We once came an hour early, ordered drinks and food and didn't see our server again until the end of the show, when she came by to drop the check. We asked 3 different servers throughout the evening to please ask our server to stop by but she never did. We would have ordered desserts but we couldn't. This has happened twice now. I only partly blame the servers. Granted, the place was packed but they have GOT to have enough staff to service the shows that are sold out. It isn't fair to the comedians to have patrons fuming and not paying attention because they can't get a drink refill or order more food. Improve your server coverage and/or training and I'll change my review to five stars! read more

But good hell, they gotta figure our how to shut people up that are ruining it for for half the crowd. Because there were 2 groups of loud asses that wouldnt shut up! Horrible...Horrible! Used the guests as guinea pigs to train staff! Saw our server to order and then never again for 2 full hours. Our food was wrong and cold. Had to get up to ask someone for it to be corrected and no one ever came back to help. When we asked another server to help get us another drink she took the order and must have passed it in to our server which meant we never got it. We will be going back to the Gateway, Jordan Landing needs a lot of help!!! To our servers defense she was throw to the wolves...Shame on management! She had way to many tables and guests and absolutely no assistance. We weren't the only guests left with no service. I should've made a better effort to finish this review! We go to Wiseguys on a semi regular basis. We saw Greg Morton on a free show. I wasn't sure at first if I was going to enjoy the show. At the beginning of the show he did a segment on imitating movies I don't know and so I didn't really comprehend it. But as the show went on I related to so much of it. Got there early to get my spot but they wouldn't allow us to sit there. This is why I get there early to get the spot we always get.... nope not allowed, yet ten minutes later they allowed someone else to sit there with the same number in their party. I always like going to wiseguys but this time kind of blew it because they didn't allow us to sit where we wanted to! That is the reason you get there early to choose your seat. What a disappointment. It was a funny night just wish I could have seen the comedians from the front and not the side. Let your patrons sit where they want to! I really had a great time last night. I'm glad West Jordan has this place. Food was good for what it is. It's no nonsense pub food that keeps you satisfied through the show. Drinks were ok, they've got a well priced menu to keep things affordable. I could see myself coming here all the time. They're under construction at the landing as of today 11-2018 so make sure you park on the south side and walk up between the cops office and where cold stone is. Have a good time! read more

This place is fun! We went to see one of my favorite comics right after it opened. It's a nice big comedy club, which is nice compared to how cramped the downtown location feels. The food and service is pretty good, no complaints really. I wish they had more of the bigger names do sets at this location, so I could go more. Went there with a group of friends and honestly had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The comedians were all funny. They do not allow heckling which is great for when one guy tries to be a wise ass and ruin the show. I ordered a burger and it was pretty good I'd get one again. BEWARE OF FINE PRINT WITH GROUPON. We drove an hour to this place come to find out the groupon isn't valid for "special events." We asked her to show us where it says that on the website and obviously she couldn't. Now we have an expired Groupon that we can't get refunded and hours wasted driving. Great venue, not a bad seat in the house. Split nachos with a friend. Food could use some improvement - it's basic pub food choices. Mostly fried stuff and burgers. Ok selection of drinks. Comedy show was ok, but the service was atrocious. The server charged us with the wrong order 4 times before it was manageable. Still the order was wrong, but we were ready to go so we paid the extra to leave. We arrived at 6:01 and promptly order our drinks. Arriving shortly after the doors opened, we found the main hall packed tight. Host sat us behind a large wood column that completely blocked view of the stage, and was entirely indifferent to our request to move. The waitresses were impossible to flag down, and it took over an hour before we could place a drink order, while the couple in front of us (and I mean right in front, got a face full of hair every time the woman directly in front of me flipped her bob) was working on a second round of drinks and dessert. Terrible experience, over-crowded, under-staffed, will NOT be returning to this location. read more
