After Care Resource took over the service took a dive! I have never had such consistently bad service in my life. (As anyone who's moved from some other part of the country to Miami, we are all familiar with the horrible customer service we receive in every business in Miami. Most everyone will agree that Miami provides the worst customer service in the world! I absolutely mean that literally. If you don't know what I'm talking about then there's a good chance you're a part of the problem!). THEIR PHONE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK! This phone problem has been going on for over a year. Ninety-nine percent of the time no one picks up when you call. When no one pick up, your call is automatically put on hold. Just like so many reviews say, we all end up hanging up after being on hold for an hour! [The office says they don't see when someone is on hold. So, while we're patiently waiting, there is no chance your call will ever be picked up because, supposedly, they have no idea you are on hold. Sounds like total bullshit lie to cover their incompetence.] If you're not automatically put on hold, sometimes you can select an extension. Many of the times, after you enter the extension there is just dead silence. The call doesn't seem to connect to the extension you want. On rare occasion, the extension connects, you hear an announcement then can leave a message. Actually being able to leave a message means little because the likelihood of someone in the office at Care Recourse actually sending that referral, or prescription refill, or calling you back to make an appointment is very slim. You might get a call back 3 weeks later - or never. This is pretty shitty though no surprise for a business in Miami but absolutely appalling for a health care provider! Is this even legal for a health care provider to be so negligent? I've also reached out repeatedly using the patient portal. Again, no response or action taken by staff. I cannot tell you how many times I've shown up at the office in a total snit after weeks of failing to reach anyone in person just to make an appointment. Every time I'm given the same lame excuse that their phone system doesn't work. Staff will look you straight in the eye and lie to you. How can a doctor's office not have a functioning phone system for over a year? Whoever is responsible for this problem should be fired!!! If their goddamn phone system doesn't work, then they need to shut the current system down! Get an old fashioned answering machine and have the front desk listen to messages all day and forward them on like offices have done for decades. Or, use an old fashioned phone service. Every I time I have to deal with this office it infuriates me. I try to calm down saying, they've got a problem which will be fixed by the next time I need to reach them. But it's not. This is a chronic problem and the office staff placates patients and well as other medical professionals who complain with a pathetic lie about a fix about to be launched. The only fix is to find another medical provider who treats its patients with respect.

He seemed distracted and did not encourage my wife and I that couseling should be pursued or encourage us in any way. Nonetheless, we booked a 2nd appointment....what a mistake! When we arrived for our 2nd appointment, Mesch said he accidentally double-booked and the other patient was already in his office! He didn't offer to have us wait and see us afterwards! My wife was crying, angry and felt even more helpless. I tried to reassure her that I'd find another marriage counselor, but she decided not to pursue any further counseling. No more. Instead, we are now embroiled in our 2nd year of a terrible contested divorce procedure. Mesch didn't cause this but he certainly didn't help.

We sought out her assistance/help as roughly six months ago my husband and I hit a breaking point (in full disclosure) with many life changes going on (cross-country move, differences in habits/space, job-related change etc.). To be transparent, I felt (because of the circumstances) we were on our last leg. The only thing I could think of to help was maybe therapy so I looked online and saw Lotus (and Victoria) had good reviews and instantaneously requested to book a session with her. I had been to two other relationship counselors in another city from some time ago that did not help at all, so was not quite confident (even with seeing good reviews about this center) that our situation could be helped. I have to say I was wrong about my doubts. Victoria was very easy to talk to, listened objectively and provided some strategies and exercises that truly caused us to think differently and apply different methods which started to improve our daily interactions. I also like that she is direct and honest. She is not one of those therapists that asks 'how does that makes you feel' while scribbling on a note pad and looking at you robotically like you're a specimen in a lab. Of course she cares about how you feel and does ask, but she also has personality and gives her opinion/thoughts to you straight while showing empathy at the same time. She does not take sides, but if you are acting in a way that's not being constructive to yourself or your partner, she will let you know. I like that direct approach, but it is not in a harsh way.. it is straightforward and meant to help, which in our case, it did! She truly cares about your progress as an individual and a couple and this has been evident in her work with us. My husband and I, after starting on very shaky ground prior to seeing Victoria, are at a much better place in our relationship, have been communicating ten fold better, have gotten the *spark* (romance) back and honestly feel that we are doing better now than when we were in the 'honeymoon' phase of our relationship (we have been together almost 7 years). We were doing therapy once a week and still plan to talk to/see (after Covid 19 situation improves) Victoria for 'tune ups'/check ins as needed (I believe therapy is not a bad thing to partake in, even when things aren't at their worst), but can say that the bulk of our challenge/mission has been complete and my husband has mellowed out significantly (thank the Lord, Amen! lol). In all seriousness, I highly recommend Victoria and Lotus Counseling Center for your counseling needs, especially couples counseling (since this is what I can speak on). We can't thank Victoria enough and the whole staff there is very nice and professional (and handles insurance billing in a competent manner as well).
