This is a greedy company with very greedy people. They charge you for your appointment early in the morning day of your appointment, basically washing their hands on everything that might happen that same day, they simply don't care. Interestingly enough they don't call or text you days before the appointment, so it's a win win for them because they charge $75 for no show and your copayment fot the day as well. And they don't keep your file after a month, so if for X or Y reasons you can't go they erase you from the system and then you have to fill out all the paperwork again. My husband and I have had a wonderful experience with Lotus Counseling Center, specifically Victoria Raymond. We sought out her assistance/help as roughly six months ago my husband and I hit a breaking point (in full disclosure) with many life changes going on (cross-country move, differences in habits/space, job-related change etc.). To be transparent, I felt (because of the circumstances) we were on our last leg. The only thing I could think of to help was maybe therapy so I looked online and saw Lotus (and Victoria) had good reviews and instantaneously requested to book a session with her. I had been to two other relationship counselors in another city from some time ago that did not help at all, so was not quite confident (even with seeing good reviews about this center) that our situation could be helped. I have to say I was wrong about my doubts. Victoria was very easy to talk to, listened objectively and provided some strategies and exercises that truly caused us to think differently and apply different methods which started to improve our daily interactions. I also like that she is direct and honest. She is not one of those therapists that asks 'how does that makes you feel' while scribbling on a note pad and looking at you robotically like you're a specimen in a lab. Of course she cares about how you feel and does ask, but she also has personality and gives her opinion/thoughts to you straight while showing empathy at the same time. She does not take sides, but if you are acting in a way that's not being constructive to yourself or your partner, she will let you know. I like that direct approach, but it is not in a harsh way.. it is straightforward and meant to help, which in our case, it did! She truly cares about your progress as an individual and a couple and this has been evident in her work with us. My husband and I, after starting on very shaky ground prior to seeing Victoria, are at a much better place in our relationship, have been communicating ten fold better, have gotten the *spark* (romance) back and honestly feel that we are doing better now than when we were in the 'honeymoon' phase of our relationship (we have been together almost 7 years). We were doing therapy once a week and still plan to talk to/see (after Covid 19 situation improves) Victoria for 'tune ups'/check ins as needed (I believe therapy is not a bad thing to partake in, even when things aren't at their worst), but can say that the bulk of our challenge/mission has been complete and my husband has mellowed out significantly (thank the Lord, Amen! lol). In all seriousness, I highly recommend Victoria and Lotus Counseling Center for your counseling needs, especially couples counseling (since this is what I can speak on). We can't thank Victoria enough and the whole staff there is very nice and professional (and handles insurance billing in a competent manner as well). Unfortunately I ended up needing therapy to get help from what Dr. Victoria Raymond made me believe about about a year ago, and since then I was filled with guilt and negative thoughts because of her sessions. I do not recommend her. She made me believe I had been verbally and psychologically abusive to my partner and that I had traumatized him -- which I believed at the time and felt awful about, like I was the worst person in the world and unfit for a man like him. My partner got angrier and angrier at me after the sessions with her, and she kept saying that that was normal, that he had repressed that anger and needed to let it out. When in fact that wasn't the issue at all, so it only made things worse. The relationship became unbearable, it became worse than it was before the sessions, my partner started to feel like getting back at me for "the awful things I had done to him", when in fact these "awful things" were simple arguments from a dysfunctional avoidant/anxious couple's dynamic, where he was the avoidant and I was the anxious, which she failed to diagnose and put all of the blame on me. So when the relationship ended -- because she didn't help with that at all either -- I was left feeling worse than when I started the sessions, like it was all my fault, like I had ruined it because I was broken or there was something wrong with me. It was just awful. It took me a year to recover from her sessions. I do not recommend her if you are dealing with couples issues. What she did to me was very serious and it led me into serious avoidance from any meaningful relationships after that. A therapist can really ruin you because you believe they know best. I trusted her and she only made things worse. Do not go to her if you have a serious couples problem. Just don't. read more

Having consulted with Dr. Victoria Raymond on several occasions regarding communication between couples, as well as for myself, I highly recommend her for your counseling needs. I have referred several individuals and couples to her, all of whom are incredibly grateful for the work she has done with them. They are thriving with her guidance and have become even better friends and people to everyone around them, since learning what true communication is. That was all taught by Dr. Raymond. Dr. Raymond is incredibly patient, insightful and compassionate. More importantly, she connects with you on a personal level and reminds you that we are all human and no relationship is perfect. I was initially somewhat nervous about attending a therapy session as I did not know what to expect. The staff at Lotus Counseling Center was warm and inviting and I was able to set up an appointment immediately. Once I arrived for my initial session, I was greeted in a relaxing environment and the check-in process was seamless. Plus, there is on-site parking. I immediately met with my counselor Victoria (Dr. Raymond) and after 20 seconds into the session, I completely relaxed and felt as if I was speaking to an old friend. She was courtesy, understanding, and spot on with her assessments. She really takes the time to get to know you and optimizes each session. I left feeling refreshed and was looking forward to my next session. Over the next several weeks, once arriving for my appointments I never once had to wait. Dr. Raymond was always on-time. And every week once finished with therapy had the same feeling of peace and relaxation that we were sorting through the issues I was going to therapy for. She immediately puts you at ease and opening-up comes naturally. I can not give enough praise about Dr. Raymond or the center itself. Dr. Raymond is easily reachable and always timely responds. I would recommend her to anyone looking for therapy. From someone who has never visited a therapist to someone who has been in therapy before, you will not be disappointed and will be happy that you found her! read more

My wife and I had a fantastic experience here; I cannot recommend Dr. Victoria Raymond enough when it comes to couples counseling. We went to her because we needed help resolving a particular issue in our marriage; from the first session we felt a great connection with her. She made us feel that she really listened to us and would sometimes pick-up on little language nuissance neither one of us noticed and make us explore our feelings about what was just said. Little things like that really made us improve our communication with each other and strengthen our relationship. Without a doubt I feel going to see her was very helpful to resolving our issue and after just one session I had a much deeper and real understanding of my wife's feelings and needs. The atmosphere and decor is very relaxing and welcoming, the couch is quite comfortable and Dr. Raymond has a very soothing, calming, and accepting demeanor that immediately allows you to connect with her, establish trust, and open up. While we went for couples counseling I would absolutely go see her for individual sessions as well if I ever needed to. I honestly cannot recommend her enough. My only con is that they don't take our insurance, while this is nothing we can help and has nothing to do with the therapists it did keep us from coming back week after week once our issue was resolved. I would have loved to keep going weekly as I found that hour with Dr. Raymond and my wife was one of the highlights of my week and I always left feeling like I just had a mental massage. Having said that, while their regular rates may seem high to some people I must stress that they are absolutely worth it. I went to other therapists before her and in one session I found her much more effective than several sessions at other places; the higher rates would not keep me from coming back when I need it. TL;DR: Dr. Victoria Raymond is the best therapist I've ever been to and I'm confident she's able to help you with your emotional and/or relationship issues. read more

What a godsend Lotus has been. Specifically Dr Victoria Raymond. We started seeing her for couples therapy and instantly we clicked. We have tried therapy in the past at another location and needless to say we didn't go back, we just didn't click with that therapist. But with dr Raymond, the connection was instant. We saw her every week for months. She really gave us so much insight and her patience really helped. She honestly brought out the best in us and taught us how to channel that on our own and taught us how to communicate. She saved our relationship, literally, this shot at therapy was the last hoorah, and if it didn't work, we were going to wake away, but here we are a year later and better than ever.
