Patient calls office to schedule appointment for psychiatric evaluation due to delusion, memory loss, inability to comprehend, etc. including paranoia of legal consequences for receiving mental health services. Patient calls office and states a delusion of believing the psychiatric evaluation is requested for legal proceedings. Staff states to potential patient that they are unable to perform an evaluation for legal proceedings. Its unclear what legal proceedings staff believed evaluation would be performed for. Patient is delusional, thats why the evaluation was requested. I contact ICPS for further clarification and staff would not accept the fact that the potential patients belief that the evaluation would be performed for legal proceedings was a symptom and reason for the evaluation. For background information I was referred by my psychiatrist to get ADHD testing and evaluation back in early August. Dr.Campos was the ONLY provider amongst the list of 50+ preferred providers that my psychiatrist gave me that even bothered to contact me back and or had availability prior to January of the next year. After searching for a provider for literally 17 days I finally got to Dr. Campos on my list, when I called she was incredibly responsive. I was honestly shocked because I myself work in healthcare in an Admin position and if you don't know, getting a hold of providers is like winning the lottery... You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning. We did a mini consult on the phone verifying exactly what it was that was needed, what my expectations were, she also verified I was okay with the out of pocket expenses, and what availability would look like. She also notified me at that time that at the end of services I would receive another itemized bill I would be able to submit to my insurance for reimbursement purposes. I declined the reimbursement documentation at that time because I was under the impression I had no out of network insurance coverage. I was booked with a formal consultation for the following week (due to my own limitations at work). She immediately emailed me all necessary documentation, what to expect during the process, and an ITEMIZED PRICE COST SHEET of what services I would likely need. Big win in my book, it's incredibly rare going into an appointment to know what to expect in terms of cost and what you're even paying for before even getting to the initial consultation. During my first appointment Dr. Campos was so kind, understanding and listened. She asked me in depth questions about my current and past history, and what my long term goals would be for my plan of care. She was extremely knowledgeable, touching on things that I was unaware of regarding my condition that even my previous long term providers were unable to tell me. Unlike other providers I've experienced in the past she actually took the time to understand ME as a patient even prior to testing, versus making a very vague broad analysis. At the end of the initial consultation Dr. Campos then AGAIN gave me a definitive total cost of all services I would be expecting and verified that I would like to proceed with these services completely pressure free. After consultation my follow-up appointment was for testing. We talked about what to expect for testing at that time and let me ask any questions I may have. Testing was very extensive and in depth which I loved. She let me take short breaks in between the separate testing levels just to assure I was comfortable and in the right mindset. After testing she again let me ask any questions or concerns I may have. It took less than a week for her to review my answers and gather my results and make an informed decision on several diagnoses, based not only on my testing but other issues I expressed concern about in my initial consult. At the final appointment she went very in depth about my results. She went over absolutely everything and made sure I had a good understanding of everything. She went out of her way to provide multiple beneficial resources that I could use going forward and communicated everything with my psychiatrist before my next appointment with him! After talking with my psychiatrist I told him that he needed to put Dr. Campos higher on his preferred provider list because I absolutely loved working with her and expressed that the out of pocket cost was worth every penny and then some. He himself, having been in practice for 20 years made a comment about how impressed he was by her documentation his main compliments being they are incredibly detailed and thorough. More so than other providers in her field. I do want to say I did reach out to Dr. Campos literally 8 weeks after my final appointment after finding out that I do in fact have out of network coverage and would like my itemized bill for reimbursement, she of course responded right away on the weekend no less whereas other providers likely wouldn't have even bothered. I'm truly amazed by her professionalism and work ethic. It's second to none. I have since recommended her to friends, family, coworkers and literally anyone I can. I did include a snapshot of my email for proof that she is in fact incredibly communicative since day one and continues to be nothing short thereof. I wanted other people to rest assured that she is great at what she does and that the negative reviews seem uninformed. I process patient insurance all day everyday. Insurances are very strict and have heavy guidelines on who can and cannot request prior auth. Usually OON providers cannot. Especially not without a direct referral from an established provider with supporting documentation. I implore you to research that last part yourself for proof and clarification. read more

My experience with Dr. Campos has been great. I have had a number of therapists in the past, and I have found her to be the most empathetic and willing to listen of anyone I have worked with. Not only did she quickly recognize and validate my personal values and experiences (that other therapists had written off), she also provided valuable insights that have been very effective with my anxiety. She is not only a very effective therapist, but she also provides care that helps you to feel seen. Another note- when I asked to take a learning disability evaluation at her practice, she told me that she felt it would be more appropriate for me to take it with another provider since she already was already familiar with me as her client and, thus, could not be fully objective. So, I cannot confirm the claims made in earlier comments that Dr. Campos takes advantage of clients through added testing and costs. That has not been my experience at all. read more

During my son's assessment he never felt uncomfortable or that he was even being evaluated. He always went to and from his evaluations with a smile. The prizes that he got after his evaluations were a big hit; but more importantly her demeanor made my son feel at ease. First review is probably accurate. I did not get into her office or trapped into her fees as she stopped communicating with me after the first phone call. Repeatedly reached out to confirm first appointment after she gave a date and was met with silence. Not sure what kind of provider she is but she made it pretty clear that any initial diagnostics would require extra costs right off the bat- as a mental health provider myself...that is definitely odd. Do NOT go here if you are interested in receiving compassionate care. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT GO HERE. Dr. Campos very clearly only entered the field in search of money as opposed to any sort of desire to help people. It is one thing not to take insurance, it is another thing to outright refuse to take the approximately five minutes to provide pre-authorization so clients can actually seek reimbursement. She immediately cancelled my appointment upon the request that she do this very very very simple task. I gave up on the idea of receiving any sort of reimbursement and decided to pay the full cost out of pocket (which was nearly $1K more than what she originally quoted) and asked that she reinstate my appointment. She ignored me and I had to have a family member reach out. Instead of working with us, she tried to chalk it up to an "ethical dilemma" considering my finances. I am more than capable of paying, but who wouldn't want reimbursement?? In other words she assumed I was poor and unworthy of services.
