Just like the majority of reviews, I also agree that one of the biggest problem is their horrendous office management. THEIR PHONE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK! AND THEY KNOW IT BUT DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. They are an absolute failure!!! FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! I was a long-time patient of Dr Canas and was always happy with the service and care I received there. After Care Resource took over the service took a dive! I have never had such consistently bad service in my life. (As anyone who's moved from some other part of the country to Miami, we are all familiar with the horrible customer service we receive in every business in Miami. Most everyone will agree that Miami provides the worst customer service in the world! I absolutely mean that literally. If you don't know what I'm talking about then there's a good chance you're a part of the problem!). THEIR PHONE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK! This phone problem has been going on for over a year. Ninety-nine percent of the time no one picks up when you call. When no one pick up, your call is automatically put on hold. Just like so many reviews say, we all end up hanging up after being on hold for an hour! [The office says they don't see when someone is on hold. So, while we're patiently waiting, there is no chance your call will ever be picked up because, supposedly, they have no idea you are on hold. Sounds like total bullshit lie to cover their incompetence.] If you're not automatically put on hold, sometimes you can select an extension. Many of the times, after you enter the extension there is just dead silence. The call doesn't seem to connect to the extension you want. On rare occasion, the extension connects, you hear an announcement then can leave a message. Actually being able to leave a message means little because the likelihood of someone in the office at Care Recourse actually sending that referral, or prescription refill, or calling you back to make an appointment is very slim. You might get a call back 3 weeks later - or never. This is pretty shitty though no surprise for a business in Miami but absolutely appalling for a health care provider! Is this even legal for a health care provider to be so negligent? I've also reached out repeatedly using the patient portal. Again, no response or action taken by staff. I cannot tell you how many times I've shown up at the office in a total snit after weeks of failing to reach anyone in person just to make an appointment. Every time I'm given the same lame excuse that their phone system doesn't work. Staff will look you straight in the eye and lie to you. How can a doctor's office not have a functioning phone system for over a year? Whoever is responsible for this problem should be fired!!! If their goddamn phone system doesn't work, then they need to shut the current system down! Get an old fashioned answering machine and have the front desk listen to messages all day and forward them on like offices have done for decades. Or, use an old fashioned phone service. Every I time I have to deal with this office it infuriates me. I try to calm down saying, they've got a problem which will be fixed by the next time I need to reach them. But it's not. This is a chronic problem and the office staff placates patients and well as other medical professionals who complain with a pathetic lie about a fix about to be launched. I have been a patient of Care Resource for over 15 years and recently have not been able to get a phone call answered and when I request a call back, the answering system hangs up on me. I see this is a very common complaint on Reddit. I was recently at the Miami Beach office and counted at least 8 people behind the front desk so it does not appear to be a staffing issue. I had a telehealth appointment today but no link was sent to login so it never happened. This is beyond frustrating and makes me question the legitimacy of the organization at this point. read more

The front desk at Miami Beach Care Resource has one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I spent the entire morning calling just to make a simple doctor's appointment. No one picked up. When someone finally did, they put me on hold and never came back. It's like no one knows what they're doing or why you're calling. This isn't just frustrating -- it's unacceptable. Imagine if this were an emergency. You're completely ignored. The level of care at the front desk is seriously unprofessional, careless, and flat-out disrespectful to patients' time and needs. Let me be clear: the doctor I see is excellent, and that's the only reason I haven't walked away from this place already. Honestly, one of the worst service providers! The medical staff is completely out of control! They're extremely late to see patients for existing appointments and sometimes don't even show up. I've had one of the doctors mislabel my information and complicating my charges though I'm in perfect health which triggered a nightmare event with my insurance, which I had to remediate. They never pick up the phone and when they call you they behave aloof and cut you off mid-sentence. Last time I was there for a routine checkup I asked for water because of the high temperature and was told they don't offer water to patients. I guess I'll just die if I faint in this office, literally the most insane thing I've heard in my life. What a terrible clinic! read more

I've been going to care resources for years and it's always been very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Robert G is amazing. The staff that they had in their South Beach location is horrible. I received a call from Care resources this morning telling me to call them back. I called them back and they had me on hold for over an hour. Eventually, I hung up and they called me back just to have me on hold for another 40 minutes. It forced me to get into my car and go to the office. When I called it to their attention that that was unacceptable they took no responsibility and said that I was being belligerent and rude and hostile. Not an apology no responsibility. As much as I love this facility and the doctor Robert G I will no longer be going to Care Resourse's for my medical care. I am a doctor as well and this type of treatment to patients is unacceptable. read more

Run away from Doctor WENDY KAYS and the rest of the team, there are so many other providers in Miami that will treat you with respect and honesty. Was charged $1071 for an annual check up while it is free in my insurance plan. The way they proceed is to make you believe the additional tests they do on you are part of the check up. My insurance ran a whole investigation on them and said this is a technique they use a lot to scam patients!! read more

In a word, horrible. It is absolutely impossible to get care, reach your doctor or even a staff person. No one has ever answered the phone - you must leave a message and then someone *might* call you back within a few days. Usually the callbacks are right when the office is closing/closed, so if you miss it and call back 2 minutes later, no one answers and you're back to square one. I actually somewhat liked my doctor, but it is impossible to get any care and it is a health risk. I'm now looking for a new PCP with their own practice that isn't part of this network. read more

Pretty much what the other reviewers are saying. Very dictatorial manner - I had to sign things I didn't want and take tests I didn't want to take in order to get care. When I balked as asked about my rights as a patient, the office mgr indicated she would throw me out. My doctor refused to acknowledge me as a trans woman; when I ask to use the restroom they sent me to the Men's Room I was asked if I wanted male testosterone (I was there for estrogen) twice. During follow-up call I was addressed as "Sir." C/R is a long-standing practice in SoBe mainly serving the gay male community with AIDS and they have done remarkable and heroic work. And in FL's political climate I really honor that they have a commitment to giving affirming care. But it's provided in a very trans-insensitive and domineering way. I don't even know where to begin. The office is disgusting and doesn't suit their needs. After waiting for over 45 minutes, I was taken for my vitals. Then I was shuffled back out into the waiting room. My appointment was at 11:30. I arrived at 11:15 as they asked me to and I completed the paperwork. I wasn't taken back to see the doctor until 12:30....one hour after my appointment. Best part: they took a guy ahead of me after he showed up 35 minutes late for his appointment. Last but certainly not least, the urine test. They don't even have a bathroom in their office. You have to take a key fob and walk down the hall to an office bathroom that is shared by the entire floor. My doctor was lovely, but that doesn't matter. They have zero regard for patient's time. If you are shopping for a coffin, their waiting room is perfect. HORRIBLE read more

I don't think this place deserves only 1 star. Doctor Robert Goubaoux is very very patient and always wants to hear patients opinion on everything as well, gives specialist referrals for everything that seems anyhow concerning. Nurses are very polite as well. Wait time is never long unless you don't make an appointment. And yes they barely answer when you try calling them , but that is not the people from this office, so better ask for their extension first. read more

one star is too good for them I went to this office for years and was happy with my doctor When called to schedule an appointment, I was told that I need to be registered as a new patient and wait for 2 months for an appointment, so I waited but had to reschedule. On the day of the appointment I called to confirm and was told I do not have any and that my previous appointment was cancelled but not rescheduled. I was told to wait another month for an appointment. I was also informed that patients usually wait for 3 months to be seen. Customer service is just horrible read more

I have been a patient of one of the founding doctors since I was in college, when he retired, I became a patient for the doctor that took over his practice with no problems. The problem with this establishment is not the doctors, but the staff. The staff just doesn't care whether you live or die, or to pay attention to what they are doing. For the last five years I have been very patient because I like the doctor. Below is a list of cringe worthy instances: 1. Mix up test results. Calling me to tell me that I'm pregnant, when in fact, I didn't go in for a pregnancy test, and it was virtually impossible for me to be pregnant because I was on a DRY spell. 2. Ordering a battery of test, and forgetting the most important one. Making me come back to draw my blood, promising that they will take me at 5:15 p.m. since I couldn't take off from work again, and when I get there, I get an attitude from the technician who forgot to take my blood for that specific test to begin with. I had to start screaming my doctor's name for the doctor to come out, and order her to do what she needed to do. 3. I didn't hear from doctor or staff about some test results, so I called to find out, and the nurse tells me that they had called me to give me the results and they have already talked to me. Clearly, they called the wrong person and gave my test results to that person. 4. Today, I called to set up an appointment, I only got a machine due to high call volume. The machine put me on hold for 7.35 minutes, and then proceeded to ask me to leave a message. I've been in that waiting room before, observing the staff, they are all chewing gum, shooting the breeze talking about anything everything, and just stare at their phone when it rings and they don't pick up. Needless to say, I am ready to find another doctor's office, but I need to be able to talk to a human being in order to get my medical records, if I'm lucky enough to get the correct ones. I get the that doctor's are not business people, but either you become one, or you hire someone qualified to run your business. After almost 20 years of patient doctor relationship, it is a disgrace that it has to end like this. read more

I go to the Miami Beach office to see Dr. Goubeaux. I followed him to this practice when he moved from the one with Westchester on bird road since he has been my family's primary care physician since I was 6yrs old. Let me just say how friendly the staff has been since I started visiting a little over a year ago. They are always so nice and courteous. The waiting room is small but it's usually pretty quite and the wait time is nonexistent until you are in the exam room which can take a little longer depending on the patient before you. My only complaint would be the appointment availability. I have a rare autoimmune deficiency, which I've had since I was a baby so I get sick really easily. If I don't speak to the Miami Beach office directly to get an emergency appointment, I can't get an appointment in a timely fashion, usually I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get in. They should accept walk-ins or put aside a few emergency appointment slot per day so that people can get treated in a timely fashion. Other than that I think the office is great! read more

I just moved to south beach and went to care resource early this month to ask if I can be seem by a Dr with the insurance I had. First a weird lady came out from no where and approached me. At first I thought it was the janitor, but she told me she was the supervisor but could not answer one question I had and then suddenly just left to her office in the middle of our conversation.
