In not wanting to be creepy about it, I decided to simply check-in on Yelp and not get out. Make sense?! From inside my vehicle, the grounds seemed well-kept and clean. Looks like pickle ball and horseshoes are offered and have dedicated areas for both those activities. Everyone also appeared to be enjoying themselves. If you have a family with progeny, I highly suggest making a day trip to this particular city park. You might enjoy yourself like everyone else seemed to be doing.

Fortunately for the residents who live close by, response times are prioritized by the severity of the situation and the need for urgent assistance. Denton, Texas is going to grow with respect to the Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington area by virtue of the local attractions offered to the voting public's attention to the very positive thing that green spaces offer to the people. Starting w/ the rubber ground and astroturf, wih some give, it's less likely to have an injury. They have lots of things for "little's" to do, including interactive games for even the smallest of kids. There's the typical swing sets, slides, and two versions of merry-go-rounds, that are WAY safer than what most of us grew up with! The two ziplines are pretty cool, and toddler + accessable! There is also a nice shaded area for picnics, or adults to sit under. This place is fantastic! 5 STARS

The skate park next door has several ramps and rails of different sizes, so it's a probably a pretty good beginner skate park. The only downside is it's right next to a very busy highway, and a local street, with no significant barrier... so, if you have "little's" you might have to keep an eye on them here! The playground equipment ranges from vintage to new and there is a LOT, which is fun. There is a lot of shade and a lot of seating and there is a bathroom available. There are bird houses all over the park, too. I took 1 star away because there are some safety issues. Some of the walls are crumbling and there are also some uncapped pipes with sharp edges sticking up right in the middle of the newer playground. My daughter tumbled over one and hurt herself, not badly, and I shudder to think of a toddler landing on one of those. I called and left a message with the parks dept and hopefully they will handle it quickly.

Well, that doesn't appear to be the case in this little, sleepy, Texas town. It is Sunday, so not a surprise that the library is closed, but the park is open and well maintained. I'm a bit surprised that no one is here enjoying a great picnic gem like this...could be because it is "HOT"...it's 100 outside... There is a little area with swings and stuff for the little kids...and a few big kids...I like swings. I got to enjoy this place all to my self...!!!
