I recently experienced some water damage in my house and had Matthew come out and take a look. He did little because the pipes are behind drywall. The issue being he could not open holes in our wall which is understandable due to asbestos. My biggest concern or dislike was that he recommended us to a water damage disaster clean up company called PRC which came and took advantage of our whole situation. In a sense by sending over this company PRC they made things worse for us. If they cannot help you search for the next plumber that can. read more

We called on a Saturday afternoon for help with a leak due to a washing machine drainage pipe being clogged. They quoted a snake service of $59 over the phone and sent Jose over later that afternoon. Jessie disconnected my sprinkler inflow line from the water main because it was before the shut off valve and I had no control over the water to my sprinkler system. He installed a separate shut off valve after the existing shut off for the sprinklers. Also, he soldered a new hose bib on my faucet. I really don't have time to do reviews. I could not be happier about the great customer service I received from Wise Choice Plumbing and Rooter. My kitchen drain backed up and after trying several things to clear it it was time to call a plumber. When I called Wise Choice and told them I was located in Simi Valley, the gentleman said he would call me back with the time his technician would arrive. As promised, I received a call within 5 minutes that the technician would be at my house in 45 to 90 minutes. Ricardo showed up when promised and proceeded to clear the drain for me. I'm not a fan of Wise Choice Plumbing. I needed a shower valve replaced at a rental property and called this company for the first time. I asked the dispatcher if she could share a fee structure for this type of repair so I had some sort of ballpark in mind. She said she couldn't but that the technician would provide me with a free estimate. I gave her my cell to call me to discuss and perhaps authorize the repair since I would not be at the property -- only the 20 year old tenant would be there. Technician arrives within the 3 hour window and discusses the repair with the 20 year old tenant and asks him to authorize the repair. Technician leaves to buy a valve at a local hardware store and charges $175 for his time. This is their "flat rate" charge for this type of repair -- I am later told. I was not contacted in order to authorize or make the decision as I had asked and was told would happen. I called the office the following day to talk to the supervisor and request a copy of the receipt. Technician marked that the "owner" authorized the repair. False. Use my experience as a data point for you. Shower Valve replacement would start at $175. Hopefully they will provide you the courtesy of authorizing the repair before they do it. read more

I called wise choice last week to find a problem i was having with a foul odor. Jesse came out to investigate and discovered that i had some food remenence in my garbage disposal and pipes. I don't do yelp reviews often but after having had the pleasure of getting my toilet problems fixed by Jesse at Wise Choice Plumbing, I wanted to put a good word in for them. I had an issue with my toilet a week ago where the toilet came loose from where it was bolted down to the slab. As it turned out the steel ring below the toilet had rotted away. As a DIY'r, I pulled the toilet out only to realize that I didn't have the tools to get the job done due to having to drill the new ring into the concrete slab. . Of course this had to happen on a Sunday. After talking to some other plumbers and getting astronomical quotes, I searched our local Simi Valley Facebook group and found his name had been mentioned there with high regards. As such, i decided to give him a call. Much to my surprise, he answered his phone on Sunday. After texting him some photos of my nightmare, he was able to give me an estimate which I thought was very reasonable. We scheduled an appointment for the next day (Monday) and he was at my house at 7AM just as promised. He made quick work of the repair and even came in under what he he had originally estimated which substantially less what others had quoted me. He was punctual, fast, professional and affordable.
