It was worth every penny. April's and Michelle's approach of providing you all of the pointers you need to figure things out along the way and teaching you to become self-sufficient in the long run was the best way for me to transition into parenthood. April also does custom-tailored newborn classes, which were very helpful (for example, breastfeeding wasn't really applicable in my situation, so we switched that topic out to focus on other relevant topics). Would highly recommend Edmonton Area Family Doulas' services for baby's first few weeks, and this is especially the case if this is your first child!

For myself I have seen two of the practitioners there and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences. I saw Dr. Amber McKinnon for naturopath services. She is a very kind Dr who is very knowledgeable in her field. She offers various treatment modalities, acupuncture, nutrition, etc. I had testing for dietary allergies which has made a huge difference for me in my health. She has provided me with lots of information on holistic health options as well as acupuncture treatments. I also see Valerie Plante for acupuncture.
