This location is in Luzern Bahnhof and it's actually better than the location in Zürich Bahnhof. They have more selections here. There were two Frisch schoggi kinds I was trying to get but didn't find while in Zürich: Dubai chocolate, and vegan cashew. My favorite Frisch schoggi slabs I get all the time are vegan cashew (tastes and melts just like regular chocolate), hazelnut, and cornflakes. Add their Dubai chocolate to that list - you won't find it at all Laderach locations though. They have limited/ seasonal Frisch schoggi. In May, they had banana split. It's delicious so, I got a slab of that too. I got some truffles and mini mousses. I grabbed individually-wrapped chocolates for my friends. On my first day in Luzern, I went to this location twice. I first came here in the morning before going to the hotel. I was minding my own business taking pictures of the chocolates. The employee behind the counter was like "don't a picture of me". Girl, I have no reason to take your picture! I left. I came back in the afternoon for my chocolate break and that employee wasn't there anymore. I took pictures and the afternoon shift employee wasn't giving me samples left and right and was super nice and helpful. So, I bought chocolates from her.

I appreciated that it was warmed at least and it fit the bill for a meal under 10 CHF, and it was a decent lunch - not super filling but it was just barely enough food. The store, comprised of a few small rooms, is attractively laid out. -visiting the shop is a visual treat. Herr Bodewig carries unique and interesting consumables primarily from Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Italy. A list of his 'partners' can be found via the Spezerei Bodewig website. The location of this shop is pretty prime. Located in the Sankt Johanns Vorstadt, one is able to enjoy a view overlooking the Rhein from a very small plaza directly adjacent the shop. Herr Bodewig stocks four to five different types of locally roasted Haenowitz and Page coffee, a favourite of mine. Another new-found fave is Italian brewed '32' beer, from 32 Via dei Birrai. They brew a variety of lovely ales from light to dark and much in between that are meant to be paired with food. I've sampled already the red amber and was not disappointed. This shop is great when one is looking to 'wow' a special someone (or one's self) with a gift, or when one is looking to support small businesses from around Western Europe. I spied a blue cheese from Romandie, a really potent Vacherin, goat and sheeps cheeses and, tis the season, raclette and fondue cheeses. This place also stocks beans from a new coffee roaster, Cococoro, located just down the road in Kreis 3. Wine, beer, among a few other things, are all neatly arranged for one's perusal.
