We explored options in Ridgefield and found Fred Astaire. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and the pricing was reasonable, so we signed up for a package of classes. On our first day in the studio, we were greeted by Sebastian, who would be our instructor for the weeks ahead. He was incredibly friendly and empathetic to our lack of dance experience, making us feel comfortable from day one. After each class, we felt more confident and prepared for our big day. Sebastian was patient and even taught us moves we could use at other weddings in the future. We had so much fun learning from him and soaking in the vibe of the staff and the other (more professional!) dancers in the studio. We would 10/10 recommend Fred Astaire and Sebastian if you're looking to learn a thing or two about rhythm! I actually am nostalgic thinking of this time last year with them. Thank you!!!!

We were grateful for his availability and quick correspondence. He arrived early for our sound check and was easy to work with. We had him on stage for 30 min then on walk around for the 30 min intermission. The stage performance was fantastic. Allen works the crowd up and gets people involved. The room shifted quickly from entertained applause to a loud "OH SNAPS"and "NOOO". I stepped outside during intermission but could hear very clearly the intermittent "OHHHHH's" as Allen performed his walk-around. Long story short - I am very thankful Allen pursued his magic side gig and I'm on the lookout for another chance to hire him.

We gave them a list of songs (from the song list they have on their website) and we also asked them for recommendations on the flow from processional to recessional and they really helped us put it all together. They were also able to learn a couple of songs which were not on their list but which we wanted played on our wedding. They were able to learn them. Our guests were so impressed by them and I often listen to the recording from our wedding to bring me back to the day and to remember how professional Art-Strings was.
