I had a bucket list of items that I needed help with. I got ridiculous quotes from other electricians, $2200, $2600, $2500. Marty came by, looked at the job and had decided the best course of action what to just do Time and Materials at his hourly rate. It saved him from underestimating/overestimating and I could manage the costs fairly. Items completed: 1. Deck Post light caps: Caseta switch installation. Also diagnosing some incorrect connections (I had made incorrect connections previously). Wiring an incomplete LV wiring run to complete a 'missing' section of lights. 2. Under deck puck lights: 15 Amp box and 2nd Caseta switch installation powering puck lights 3. Troubleshooting Magnitude MLV Transformer (found bad caseta switch and worked with Lutron support to diagnose and get replacement) 4. Installed heat tape on troublesome (ice/snow) roof section I got everything done for roughly $600.00. (I bought all the materials in advance ~$100 worth and did some "brain dead" stuff myself (like running 14/2 UF wire through existing conduit). In any event, I was thrilled with T&M as was he. I believed I saved roughly $1500 by spending an hour or two myself and having Marty come in for the rest. I think I found my new 'go to' electrician in my area. Fair, honest and hard working.

Mike came for the first round to work with our contractor to discuss the needs of the new kitchen, including GFI updates, kitchen island outlets and pendants, new LED recessed overhead lights, and under cabinet lighting and floor heating. They also made recommendations based on new codes coming into play over the next couple of years so that we would be compliant. That kind of attention to detail was most welcome. John, the Master Electrician who came to the house later, easily guided two young apprentices over 2 days of full-on work. John was amazing, listening to my questions, assisting me in last minute decisions, and making certain the customer was happy. John was very insistent in making sure we were happy and pleased with their work. His knowledge and background was priceless while I worked through the list of my wants and needs, he was very patient too, as I asked endless questions. They put in long days and protected our home while working cleanly and efficiently. It is rare to find such superior expertise these days, and I am grateful that Daigle Electric is willing to bring on young people into the trade and teach them properly.

I highly recommend Daigle Electric for professional and top-notch electrical service needs. We…read morecalled Mike who promptly provided a quote. His team, led by John, returned a few weeks later to provide the service. We had outdoor lighting, a transfer switch and a tv electrical box installed. They were so professional and fixed recent work done by a different supplier. It's so challenging to find someone to trust but now we did. Thanks!!

I needed to add an outlet for a pellet stove I purchased and my first price quote for the job was…read morealmost $1300. This was Heritage Home Services. I was figuring $600 to $700 tops. It's really not that complex...one outlet, wire (approximately 75 feet) and a breaker to be installed in my backup generator breaker box. Add in labor and the cost comes in at around $600 to $700 with a generous portion for labor. Since the price quote was so ridiculous from Heritage, I decided to call Mr. Electric for a second price quote. Thank God I got the second price quote! Mr. Electric came in at $533.00 for the same exact job! To be fair, I know everything is more expensive right now and labor is hard to find. Additionally, these companies are extremely busy but I have no use for companies that are price gouging their Customers just because they can. I also have a long memory when it comes to these companies because as most people know the economy is cyclical and business isn't always great. I will remember NOT to use Heritage when times are tough...Mr. Electric has me for life...good times and bad. I've done electrical work and I did price this job out before seeking professional services. I know the approximate cost for parts and I usually double that cost for labor. That's how I came up with the $600 to $700 estimate. The $1300 price tag Heritage quoted is just obnoxious. Shame on you Heritage! Mr. Electric was easy to schedule, on time and very professional. The $533 they quoted was extremely reasonable. My advice, steer clear of Heritage and checkout Mr. Electric.

I didn't even have to leave a message and wait for a call back! (The other guy I called never even returned my call.) He was willing to come within a couple of days to check out the job and provide an estimate -- he was there the next day. He was extremely responsive via text regarding the permit and when he would be coming. He was on the dot on time. He was also polite and respectful with asking for my preference about him wearing a mask. On his way out, it occurred to me to ask him a question about a concern I had about an old outlet. He came back in to check it out and was willing to replace it right then, and taught me how to know when one should be replaced. I found two others in the house while he did that one and he was willing to replace those, too, in spite of having another job scheduled after mine. I expected to have to pay him extra for that work, but when I got the invoice, he didn't charge me extra because apparently the big job he came for didn't take quite as long as he'd expected. I was super impressed by his honesty and his work ethic. Andrew's officially my new electrician!
