We saw amazing marine life, including nudibranchs, lobsters, nurse sharks, and angel sharks. Coming from Monterey, the absolute highlight for me was seeing the massive, chill giant black sea bass, Wreckfish! They are 7 feet and 600 lb so big!!! Brian went above and beyond by taking me back out a second time when my initial photos didn't turn out well, I was a bit scared and too far. This was my first time snorkeling without any safety net. Our guide (Rich) was very helpful and patient. He helped me get acclimated and helped me with my gear as well. Chris helped us set up private lessons so the two of us could do our Open Water Diver certification course. Chris also explained the ins and outs of the course- and the time required to accomplish this. Instructor + Course We met with Frank do our first diving lesson. He went over the learning material (book + video). Frank really put us at ease and taught at a pace that worked with us- he was very patient and helpful. He called me right back and immediately assuaged all my fears. He was empathic explaining he had a child the same age and understood why I would be nervous but that he would take care of my son. He was also was extremely knowledgeable on the effects diving could have on a type 1 diabetic and he took it extremely seriously, explaining that if he saw anything that would be concerning for him he would cut the dive right then. The day of the dive we met him on time and he was a very kind but also a no nonsense type of guy which me and my husband really appreciated. He explained everything to us about the dive with just facts and by the time he took my son in the water we both felt 100% comfortable with trusting him to take care of our son.
