I called Alta View Sports Medicine and was able to schedule a new patient appointment within just a few days. I saw Dr. Sybrowsky and he spent a good amount of time with me, listening to my concerns and checking me out. He examined my knees and other area he was suspicious of for injury. He was very thorough and I was amazed he spent more than half an hour with me and took a lot of time explaining what was causing the issues, what it would mean, and how to treat the problem. He supplied me a couple of knee braces, lots of advice and care instructions, in addition to comfort and trust with him. Since then. I've had to see him to not only follow up with my knees, but more recently, a broken wrist obtained while mountain biking down from the top of Snowbird (by means of taking the tram up). Since the Dr and his staff are specialized, they offer a higher level of service and knowledge, that ends up leading to a better experience, treatment, and healing. I would definitely recommend Dr Sybrowsky and this practice to anyone I know who can utilize his talent. My only gripe with all of my experiences would be when I tried to schedule an immediate appointment, as quickly as possible, when I first broke my wrist. Since Dr S was booked up for the next few days, I asked if I could see someone else at the office, a different Dr. I was shocked when I was advised that once in their system and having seen a Dr, I can't see a different Dr at their office. Maybe there is a logical reason for this, but I thought it odd and somewhat inconvenient. His office is pretty good about getting appointments scheduled though, and it's convenient that he works out of 2 hospitals (Alta View & Lone Peak). His staff is awesome, but I prefer the staff at Alta View better; they're more friendly and professional.

Upon calling to schedule an appointment today, I was informed that I had a left over bill after my insurance coverage of $11.26 from last year. (I had honestly forgotten to send the payment while dealing with my injury and trying to run my business through it all) Anyway, they told me that I just needed to clear it up with collections and I could be seen...but, they failed to disclose a very important fact. After paying it immediately and calling their office back, the office manager got on the phone and informed me that because I had a balance that went to collections, even though it was paid, I would now be required to pay my total bill, including x-rays, etc. upfront at the time of the appointment and have my insurance reimburse me! She then went on to tell me that this had happened before, but after looking at my insurance transcripts, I found that THEY were at fault the 1st time for under charging me for my insurance co-pay. The transcript also shows that it was paid promptly when I went back in for my 6 week follow-up visit and I was informed of the office staff's error. There's no consideration for their patients with this policy...they obviously forget that we are all human and sometimes, life happens! If you search, you will also find a review from another that had this same treatment over a bill that was less then $2.00. As a business owner, I realize that it's important for everyone to pay their bills, on time, but their policies and disregard for honest human mistakes are over the top! "I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick. I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure. I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm."

She offers great deals on Groupon to get you in initially, then offers bundle deals so you purchase in advance. But she always reschedules your appointment and makes up a dramatic excuse of why she cannot work. We went as far as to purchase $500 worth of services (as gifts for all of our family/ friends) and later found out she wasn't responding to anyone who did try to book, or when she did, make the process difficult by asking them to verify that he made the purchase. Not a business I would recommend. Save yourself the frustration with this person.

Loved the hot stones and clay mask options she offers with her Swedish massages. That's why when she reached out later on to tell me about her special bundle of 4 one-hour massages for $140, I decided to buy it. Since then, it's been difficult communicating with her and redeeming all the massages. She's cancelled at the last-minute on me three times in a matter of 8 months. The first time she told me she double-booked and had class to get certified for eyelash extensions (November 2020), and then she was sick on the other two occasions (February and June 2021), which is fine cause I'd rather not make her work if she's ill nor do I want to be in close proximity with someone who has a bug. I understand life happens and it's hard juggling all the appointments that must be coming her way with the Groupon deal. To be fair, there was one time I missed an appointment because I put it in my calendar incorrectly. She was nice enough not to charge me a no-show fee. So I want to give her credit for that. However, when she cancels on me, she often fails to reschedule with me and I have to follow-up with her several times to get a time booked. I have one massage left that I've been trying to redeem, but she stopped responding to my messages. I'll just let her have that money. I'm not here to badmouth her, because I think she's pretty decent with her massages and offers a great deal on the pricing. But I also want to share my experience about the constant scheduling issues. I wish her well and hope things get better in her life.
