We have been boarding our horse at Winterhaven Ranch for 3 months after recommendations from other horse owners in the area. We haven't been disappointed. The ranch is very well kept , I constantly see lawns being mowed and edged. The stable hands work 7 days a week to make sure all the horses are let out and brought back into their stable at the correct time, fed and stalls cleaned out , along with all the other activities that have to be undertaken on a working ranch/stables. The owners are vested in each horse and the owners to make sure the animal is well kept and healthy at all times. Very knowledgeable couple (Sandi and Wayne ) which have been running the ranch some 25 plus years. They also have experience in the world of show and performance horses and credentials to back that up. Extremely nice couple who look after our daughter and horse like they were their own. Our horse is undergoing a huge transformation in learning and training and our daughter will hopefully be participating in some shows in the near future. Could not be happier. We are one of those boarders with a long long history at WH. We have boarded our 3 geldings at WH for 14 years. Our daughter grew up riding & our son playing in the dirt with his trucks. They are now 23 & 18. It has been our second home & driving up to the front gates, still to this day truly feels like we are home. Sandi & Wayne have always been beyond kind & accommodating & our horses have always received the best of care. I would even go so far as to say, I don't think my boys would have had such long lives anywhere else. There is always a watchful eye on them. We drive over an hour each way to get to our "slice of heaven" & we wouldn't have it any other way. We would recommend WH ranch to anyone wanting a peaceful atmosphere for themselves & their horses. We have never asked anything of Sandi & Wayne that they didn't do for us or our horses. We could have boarded anywhere else in all these years but why would we. Our horses are happy, healthy. WINTERHAVEN RANCH belongs to me and my husband Wayne. We love our job and work our hardest every day so that our boarders can enjoy the horses knowing that their horses are well taken care of. Our borders here are wonderful people. Recently we had some borders that did not fit in. Nothing pleased them and they were very high maintenance. I spent many hours helping them with their horses to the point where they were taking up the majority of my time. But I did not charge them any more for doing that. In the end they left and posted a review on this site that was full of lies.Dave Koss was the man who lied on the site. It made me very sad because I truly thought he was a standup guy. At any rate I would like to warn any of the boarding facilities out there that Dave Koss is unpredictable, high maintenance, and dishonest. read more

I have had the pleasure to be a part of the Winterhaven family for over 10 years.. Sandi and Wayne have taken such good care of my horses for all these years and have taught us so much about how to nurture and train and be a real good horse owner. Any concern or questions about our horse or care they are there 24 hours a day 7 days a week to make sure your needs are met... We know our horses are in good hands and trust the care they receive over these years and continue to enjoy the beautiful ranch and amazing hospitality they provide.. My family has been boarding at Winterhaven ranch since July and could not be happier. The service for your horse is exceptional, the facility is so nice and always clean. Sandi and Wayne do an incredible job with each horse,rider and owner. Along with the ranch hands, Sandi and Wayne are at the ranch everyday, they work hard to keep all horses healthy and happy. Sandi is also great trainer for all levels of riding, she is the most understanding, knowledgeable, and accommodating trainer I've had the pleasure of working with. I've learned more with her in 7 months than I have with previous trainers in several years. We plan to stay with Winterhaven ranch as long as we plan to own horses. read more

I have boarded at Winterhaven Ranch for almost 2 years and have been totally 100 percent satisfied! Sandi and Wayne could not be nicer to me and to my horse. My horse is always taken care of, is let out daily, has a clean stall with hay, grain and water at all times. Sandii has worked with Gazelle to train and ride her. Wayne and Sandi for 20 years dedicated themselves to each boarder and horse at their ranch. Made sure that they were always well taken care of and certainly did their best!
