$20/car in December 2023 We went through the drive-through light display only, as a car with 4 passengers, 2 of which are elderly and 1 of which has severe mobility issues. Truthfully, I was a little concerned after looking at images online - it looked rather questionable, as if someone shot light strings out of a tshirt cannon. It turned out to be a lovely display. $20 is double from last year's pricing, but it's still less than the racetrack display. On entry, you fork over the cash (cash on entry or per-purchase only). You are directed to turn off your headlights & stay in motion. The line was slow & steady. Displays were thoughtfully arranged on both sides, meaning everyone had good views. Overall, it's a well-thought-out design & a decent value, especially for those who aren't able to get and about on foot. read more

I haven't been here in years, so wasn't really sure what to expect. I loved it! I felt like a little kid as we drove through the park. So many light displays! And they are also so cute and each very different. My favorites were the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, lake scene and "old man winter"! The animations are awesome! This definitely got me in the holiday spirit! Take your time driving through because there is SO much to see! You can also do carriage rides! Admission is $15 for cars. Go see the lights and do it via carriage ride ! This park has one of th most unique lights display. Most light design and figures are hand made and one of a kind. Every night the park allows a different charity to come into the park and help take the fee for driving thru and the charity gets a portion of the fee collected. read more

What a magnificent display of lights! A visit to the Winter Wonderland display at Tilles park will surely fill your hearts with joy during the holiday season. Last night was my very first visit and I was very impressed. You start out driving by a small, house-looking brick building with a cool light show that goes with the holiday music if you tune in to 90.1 FM. Then you go through a short but colorful light tunnel. From there are some of the most amazing displays. There were definitely some memorable ones such as the raindrops, the cool fireworks lights hanging from the trees, kissing penguins, lights that look like running streams with several lighted deer drinking from it or just hanging out around the meadows, and many other interesting displays. I was completely enthralled! I have seen a couple other light displays in the area but this was by far, the most captivating. Be warned, you may have to wait in traffic for at least an hour to get in and there's only one way into the display but it is definitely worth the wait! There is a $10 charge at exit for cars and more for buses and limos. There is also a horse carriage option (not sure how much). If you are touring the light show through a horse carriage, you will have to go a little farther down the entrance for the carriage parking. read more

I really don't understand the appeal of this attraction. And note, that this review is primarily for the carriage ride, but does extend to people who drive through. First off, the carriage ride is not cheap (around $80) and you need to reserve months ahead of time if you want a specific date. This is kind of annoying since you don't really know what the weather will be like ahead of time. But they sell a specific number of tickets for a given time slot, so there maybe 20 tickets sold for the 7:30 time slot meaning there will likely be a line when you get there. The time means nothing. The ride itself was fine, and the driver did have a very thick blanket which was nice. Secondly, from the street, the lights at the entrance look amazing, lights everywhere, but when you get into the park, the lights are so far from the road it's hard to see. In addition, the number of lights are not even close to what it looks like in the front. It's actually quite sparse. It like lures you in and then they stop caring. Additionally, I live off Manchester near the park, and each night when I head out, the line of cars will span from the park all the way to the highway with a queue of cars lining up on the exit from from westbound 64/40 (they close the exit from coming eastbound). There is no way in hell that wait is worth even the $10 per car. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this attraction. read more

Winter wonderland at Tilles Park is a St. Louis tradition that I was fortunate enough to be a part of, yesterday. We bought tickets online for $6 each a few days before and went on a Monday ,where people walk around the park. Parking was in the McCarthy lot nearby and there were people guiding cars and directing traffic. Sweet divine cupcake truck and a stall by edge cliff winery, selling beer, wine and hot chocolate were right at the entrance. We were able to take pictures with Santa who is located right at the entrance of the park. The walk was about a mile or so and we took our time looking at the beautiful decorations. Singing faces, gingerbread cottage, Santa's reindeers (a few were missing) , the nutcracker, twelve days of Christmas gifts and a lot of other beautiful decorations. The lights are bright neon and are heartwarming. It is tough not to get into the spirit of Christmas while walking around. There was fun Christmas music in the background which further added to the atmosphere. Families with children, dogs, groups of friends and people of various ages were walking around enjoying the atmosphere despite the mild drizzle and 30 degree weather. All in all a wonderful experience. I would say walk slowly and make 2 rounds if possible. The decorations are so tightly packed that every time you see something previously missed! I have not tried the car ride or carriage ride yet, but am saving them for next year!! My only regret is not taking pictures, but that is because I was too busy looking ;) read more

WOW! That is all I can say. Prior to this place, I had seen 3 displays of lights in the St. Louis area (Zoo Lights, Way of Lights at The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, and the Garden Glow at MOBOT). I have to say that NONE of them even compare to this. Winter Wonderland has over 1 million lights and many of them create some pretty great illusions. I found out about it online. It is $10 per car ($20 per limo, $40 per commercial van, and $90 per tour bus). It is WELL worth the money. There was every light display possible at this place.....from all of the reindeer (see if you can find all 9) to Frosty to Santa to every single Christmas light display you could think of. So many of them are interactive and they are just so incredibly colorful. A description wouldn't do it justice. The display opened tonight and runs through January 2. I've already convinced myself I am going at least one more time because I'm positive I missed several displays. It is open for a drive thru Sunday through Friday from 5:30-9:30 PM. They also have carriage rides during that time as well, which range from $55 to $120. I think you need reservations for these. Some helpful hints: 1. Get someone else to drive! I drove through and couldn't enjoy it nearly as much because I was convinced I was going to rear-end the car in front of me. 2. Enter south bound from McKnight Road. I think this is the only entrance. 3. You can only drive or take a carriage through the display. They previously sold tickets for you to be able to walk through, but that was only November 20-22 (and they sold out!). 4. Bring cash or check to pay at the end. They don't take credit cards. 5. Tune your radio to 90.1 (I believe). There is a sign early during the display that lists the radio station. Some of the lights are synched with the Christmas music on that station, which is pretty cool. I think this is a must-see for anyone! Such a great way to start out my holiday! read more

Tonight me and my family went and saw Christmas lights i took my one year old out his car seat and sat him on my lap while driving thru the lights and before exiting the park i got out to put him back in the car seat and the guys working the gates where saying i couldn't get out of the car and i had to keep my car moving (we where the only car there) so he said i can not put my child back in his car seat so i just ignored him and still put my kid in his car seat before pulling out the park onto the main road.. all i can say is i will never be back there again they are just flat out rude! read more

I am a little late in posting but I wanted to share with you some information about the Winter Wonderland Walk. That's right. WALK! We did it this year and I loved it so much! I thought others who didn't know about it would too. Basically, before Winter Wonderland opens for people to drive through the park, you can buy a ticket in advance and walk through the lights in November. I believe they go on sale in September and DO end up selling out. It's over for this year (obviously) but I truly hope someone reads this and is able to go next year! They have food trucks, hot chocolate and coffee, and their very own Santa Claus for the kids! We even brought our dog to join in on the festivities. If you get the chance, do the walk! It takes longer to go through the park and you can go at your own pace without someone driving behind you. read more

Winter wonderland is a tradition around the holiday season in St. Louis. You can go through the park, which has 1,000,000+ lights, in a car or horse drawn carriage, or for a few days at the beginning of the season, by walking. Cars are $10 and the money goes to charity. This year, we decided to rent a horse drawn carriage as a gift to my dad and stepmom. I also thought my 20 month old son would enjoy it. Carriages are available most nights and have their own lane if it is a night where cars are also allowed in. We rented the 6 person carriage, and it was $80 plus the tip for the driver. It was comfortable for our part of 4 adults and one child, but would be uncomfortable for 6 adults unless all were very slender. We appreciated them providing a blanket for our laps! It was so fun to watch the lights and hear the music being piped throughout the park. I found the expense worthwhile and would definitely recommend it! read more

I just wrote a review, and it seems to have disappeared, so this is a re-review! We booked a large carriage for 9, and looked forward to building a memorable event for our family. Instead we found that the carriages do not travel at a leisurely pace through the park, and enjoy the sights. Instead, they race to rack up fares. We literally sailed thru the park, and were done in 15+ minutes! It was a total disappointment, especially since the price with tip topped $140. I don't see the point of a race, so even though the lights are beautiful and fun, I would walk through IF we ever do it again! read more

We did the carriage rides for the first time. First, the actual carriage ride was great. A fun experience and a great way to see the lights. That experience would get 4 stars. It is also great that on Saturdays it is carriages only so no cars get in the way or blind you with headlights. However, the organization only gets 2 stars. Purchased a 9pm carriage for 6. Arrived at 8:50. We're told to go to the end of a long line and they will get to us when they can. Finally got on a carriage at 9:40pm. Still a fun experience but there is ample room for improvement. read more

The lights of Winter Wonderland are nice but the carriage ride was one of the biggest disappointments ever. The carriage was $120 for 9 people. We only had 8 people and 3 were children, and we were totally crammed. The carriage moved so fast through the lights that you couldn't even begin to take in even half the lights. It was over in less than 20 minutes. All of us were shocked that the ride ended so quickly. I would recommend driving through, but I would not recommend the carriage ride. read more

We arrived at the appointed time, but there was a crowd of people with the same time slot. We waited about 30 minutes for our horse drawn carriage. We didn't mind waiting. The problem arose when six of us were told the carriage which obviously accommodated four persons was for us. I asked for a six-person carriage but was told that this was their six-person carriage. They had to be kidding! That was it. We had to squeeze in or loose our money which was considerable. I was told that they use this for six people and the three bench carriage (each bench held two persons obviously) for nine people. PLEASE!!! How much profit does the owner want to make from this Holiday business? The light display was very nice, but with my grown daughter on my lap for the entire trip my festive enthusiasm was very dim. read more

This was my first time to see the lights at Tilles. The display was very nice but the "sleigh ride" was a disappointment. I think it is supposed to hold 24 people. We had 17 in our party and 2 lap babies. There should have been room for 7 more people but once they took seats It was a very tight squeeze to say the least. The seats were wet because there was a down pour shortly before our time. Every time we rounded a corner the water from the roof poured down on the passengers on the outside seats. Don't think I would go it again. read more

We had tickets for carriage on Friday but didn't want to chance driving there because of the Road conditions ( per MOD ) so did not make it. I called park and they said they don't cancel, yet the zoofari was cancelled due to conditions. And no refunds!!. Then on Saturday low and behold they cancelled The whole kitten caboodle and they got refunds! Very poor idea and horrible business practices. Very disappointed in the carriage ride portion!!! We did the Santa's Sleigh, we had a total of 27 riders, and 5 kids were on laps under 3. The park is amazing, just which we would have been able to see it at a much SLOWER pace! This was very costly, $14.50 per person, we would have been better off going thru in our own cars so that we could have seen everything. We thought this was a great idea for our family, but we were ALL VERY DISAPPOINTED! So, if you do go I would NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF THE CARRIAGE RIDES, THEY GO AROUND ALL OF THE CARS AT A VERY FAST PACE!!! read more

While the lights are beautifully done, and seeing them via horse drawn carriage is a unique and enjoyable experience, I have some issues with the process. I purchased a 7:30 private carriage for 6 even though only 4 of us were attending. This was a wise decision, as we got a Cinderella carriage, which was lovely, but no way could 6 adults (especially if anyone in the party is "of size") fit. It was comfortable for 4. I assumed that because we had purchased for a specific time that meant we would be off on our magical ride at the time specified. Wrong. We got there 20 minutes early and were told to join the long queue of other riders with 7:30 tickets. We were told the line would move quickly, but it didn't. It seemed like they didn't properly plan for the number of people who could actually be accommodated at a given time. We stood for 45 minutes. There were no benches or chairs. I recently had knee surgery and another person in my party has brain tumors which cause her to have balance issues. When I mentioned to the person in charge that there was a handicapped person who had difficulty standing, I was told that he couldn't make the line move any faster. Seems like they should devise a better method or at least provide some sort of seats. It would be really nice if they had food and drink for purchase so you could relax until your ticket number was called. There was room for this kind of set up, but it might not be possible considering they are using property that they don't own. Our carriage driver was friendly and the horse did his job admirably. I enjoyed hearing the clip clip of hooves as we gazed at all the amazing lights. It was unseasonably warm, (70 degrees in December!) so we didn't have to deal with the cold, which was great. read more
