Im sorry to see this awful review by Crystal C, what is even more awful is that the review is…read morecompletely false and over dramatic ! I was next in line to have my haircut that afternoon and was sitting in the styling chair when this took place !! The young (teenage) lady who had received the haircut and color seemed pleased with it and the haircut was done precisely how she had described ! The girl seemed happy and walked out just fine, that is when her older sister came rushing in the door , cursing and accusing Donna of giving her sister a bad cut/color !! 1. Do you think it is possible the teenage girl did not communicate thoroughly with the stylist ? 2. Is it plausible that after having nearly 1ft. of hair cut off that she may have been a bit shocked at her new look ? The new look in which she had asked for? After all young women can be a bit dramatic when it comes to their hair 3. Charging in the door to a salon , swearing and putting the stylist down would evoke defense from anyone ! I think Donna handled the situation very professionally! And it was only when Crystal threatened not to pay the nearly $70 bill , that Donna said she had the right to call the police! NOT THAT SHE WAS CALLING THE POLICE! I am sorry but everyone has received a haircut or color that they just weren't satisfied with. Just because a hairstyle looks good on a model in a magazine, doesn't mean it will look the same on you. This was a fine cut and color and this review by Crystal is an obviously biased slight at Donna and is unfair ! The only person left in tears was Donna, she felt awful that the girl was unsatisfied ! I have been having my haircut by Donna since I moved to Gold Beach in 1999. She is the only stylist in town I go to and she stands by her work and so do I. This shop made me think of those days. Sans artistic magazines and a blind barber. I walked in on a late-Friday afternoon and there were two stylists available. It worked out that Amy cut my hair and did a great job. She's very precise and thorough. I'll add she creates a very well-developed rapport with clients and has the ability to make one feel comfortable. The owner came in for a minute while I was there, I didn't personally meet him, but was told he is a barber with much experience. He also owns "Rogue Barbers" across the way--I've also had my hair cut there by Jennifer a few times and she did a great job. The owner and stylists are altruistic and oftentimes cut hair for any firefighter free of charge.
