Heather is amazing. She ALWAYS does what is asked for. She will even give you suggestions on what could make your cut and color better. She is NEVER pushy and her fun but professional attitude is a plus. Summer is another amazing person. I went for my brow waxing and they came out perfect. She gives you the eyebrows that you want. - [ ] Our hair stylist at Rootz is an absolute delight. She is very nice and has my family's hairstyles on lock. We appreciate her and will miss her services in the future. After the way I was treated yesterday by one of the other girls, I can no longer support their business. Here's a summary as to why that is: My daughter and I showed up before our appointment times and found that the door was locked. My daughter stood in front of the door and waited until the appointment time passed, tried the still locked door again and came back to the car to go back home. We haven't had this happen before and thought it was pretty bizarre. The next day she called in to make another appointment. I also spoke to our stylist and relayed our experience. I was told that the company policy is to charge for appointments if they are a no call / no show. We never missed an appointment during any of the four or five years of going there, so this was the first time I heard of this rule. I understand why and have no problem with it. But I made the point that we did show up and even though nobody could seem to figure out how it could've happened, she told me that they would "let it slide this time". After that phone call came another from a different person, informing me that we would be required to pay for the missed appointments before we can schedule new ones. She was abrasive and rude. As she was talking over me she commented that she was there all day, the door was never locked and that they have doubts that it happened the way I said. I thought I could offer to meet them half way and pay for one missed appointment in the hopes of avoiding further conflict. She replied that I wasn't doing them any favors by just paying for one when there were two to pay for. Every time I would speak she would cut me off until she ultimately said that she didn't have to hear any more from me because she wasn't going to change her mind. I had to end the conversation , said "we're done" and hung up the phone. My anxiety was off the charts, I didn't deserve to be railroaded like that, I wasn't complaining about the fees in the first place. I believe this person was way out of line and her actions are the direct reason for my decision to end our business relationship. My daughter is very sad to lose our stylist, but she understands and agrees that it's the right thing to do. Again, I don't take issue with paying for missed appointments, I take issue with being talked at like a child and treated like we don't have any history with the business. I'm probably repeating myself by now, sorry. I'm just frustrated by the unnecessary-ness of the whole escalation. We're done, click. read more

I drive here to Sutherlin from Eugene to get my hair done. Ashley is amazing. This girl knows how to do long hair, color, etc. She is just so good. I drive almost an hour each way to go see her a few times a year to make my hair happy again. I get compliments. People ask where I get my hair done. Its easy. Go to Sutherlin. Ask for Ashley. I can't recall the woman's name. She is an older woman whose station is in the front on the left. She was very nice on the consultation. She was friendly and easy to get along with. She cut my hair MUCH shorter than what I had asked in the front and did not cut it short enough in the back. The way she styled it, it looked ok. The next day it was a disaster. The ears were uneven on either side and were longer in the back and too short in the front. I called to see if she would fix it as when I left she told me to reach out if I had any problems. When I called to make the appointment to fix it, she seemingly leaped into the assumption that I wanted a total redo. I'm not sure I had enough hair left for a redo. She didn't seem as friendly or professional on that call. I skipped making the appointment and I won't be back. The cut was very expensive compared to what is available elsewhere and I've had better cuts that cost half as much. read more

Went in for purple hair, achieved an amazing dusty plum/purple Wednesday. Went in two days later to get coverage for a section of hair that was missed/didn't take... left with black and blue hair. It's literally blue... the stylist doesn't seem to care. I was told it's double saturated and that's why it's darker. The stylist decided to recolor all my hair when I went back for the missed section on Friday and now my hair is black and blue. It was supposed to be black and purple. Stylist doesn't seem to care in the least that it's black and blue, not black and purple. (She asked, if I loved it so much on Wednesday, why did I come back on Friday, TBH I don't think getting a chunk of blonde that isn't supposed to be there fixed asking for much and doesn't mean I didn't love it). She was ridiculously defensive. I'm at a loss. I went from nearly perfect hair to a color I didn't even ask for. It's literally BLUE. It's not a darker shade of the same color. It's freakin blue. I tried reaching out to the owner, I was put back in contact with the stylist, and I'm over dealing with her. So much time and money wasted. read more

Have gone here a few times and have not been disappointed once, Sabrina is your go to gal if you're looking to color your hair. Went dark a few months ago and the color has still yet to fade, this is the longest any color has held to my hair and I am very impressed!
