I consider it a regular must stop when I'm in the area, and recommend it to those passing by on Hwy 60 as a fun place to find interesting items, grab a cold root beer from the fridge, and pick up a fantastic loaf of fresh baked sourdough bread (if you happen to be there on Thursdays). But you have to tinkle, get gas, and get snacks, especially when your trip randomly gets longer. So, we pulled into Steer Stop. Let me tell you: I have never seen a cleaner restroom anywhere. It was like using the restroom in someone's home, that has just been professionally cleaned. My mom and I were so thankful!! They also had a lot of good food. Not just snacks and junk. They had real, honest to goodness, food. I got carrot chips to snack on, since I hadn't had any veggies all day. I was just so impressed with this convenience store, so far off the beaten path, that someone would put so much care into this. The woman working was wonderful, she just beamed from behind her mask when I told her how much I appreciated her clean restroom and healthy fare. I love when people take pride in their work - there wasn't any where we stopped during that trip that was better or nicer!
