We got our gas and I went inside the store with our baby. We desperately needed milk- but the shelf was empty. I asked the cashier if there was any milk. Without hesitation she went to "check the back". She back empty-handed. They were out. As I began to make my way back to the car with a crying baby, she says, "Wait! You can get some whole milk from the coffee creamer dispenser! Just buy the cup and you'll have milk for your baby." I got the milk and our baby got her bottle and fell fast asleep. This may not sound like the most epic review, but I want to give a HUGE shout-out to Crystal for her quick-thinking and for tapping into her mother (soon-to-be-grandmother) instincts. We usually gas the vehicle, regardless of the gas price. We always use the restroom. I think the restrooms are pretty clean for the most part. My husband has not mentioned his bathrooms, so they must be clean enough too. I often will get a Subway sandwich. The Subway looks clean and well kept. The store is decently stocked with all sorts of snacks. The parking lot is quite large, and the store is usually very busy. It will continue to be our half way stop point.

So we ate this little food shop inside and bought a burger and the 3 tacos. server was beyond amazing, told us it'll be 5 minutes of a wait. But hey we love fresh food, so bring the wait on. As we were waiting, one worker was going around cleaning the place. While another was stocking every shelf up. Splendid work to everyone there, food was delicious and drinks where super cold. We got to the edge of town and were craving soft serve ice cream, just to see this place and think, they've gotta have some. On the outside, it looks fairly new, we walked inside and were like... yeah, this looks nice! But a couple of steps in, this male clerk is giving me the once over. And not in a good way. He looked like he was about to torch me and burn me at the stake. The other two female clerks weren't much better. But this guy,...he eyed me whenever I was in sight and made it known that I was NOT welcome there. They didn't have any soft serve, but they had ice cream in a stand off freezer. So we got those, and stood around for about 3 minutes while one of the cashiers checked out her till. When we finally go to check out, the "new" cashier charged us $5 each for some little handheld ice cream. By this time, I was more concerned with my ice cream melting and I wandered off while my husband paid. But if it had been me paying, I would have told them, NFW, and would have taken the ice cream back to the freezer, and walked out. The cabins I was givin a choice between were all awesome in their own way. I love the fact they are "real" cabins, and perfectly rustic. Beware city folk, not for the Hilton lovers of the world. There is a great nature trail the runs the whole property along the river, and trails to hike in every direction. This place is a hidden gem. Only caution is to watch out for the wildlife, they are everywhere. Next time I will bring kids.

No return call. Called again, no response. I guess that they don't really want to rent their cabins, after all. Maybe they only cater to locals. I am thinking of moving to that area, but alas, have to tent camp if there is room at a local campground. Hence, disappointed that there is no communication from this group.
