I came here because I…read morefound the gas prices here to be much more satisfying in comparison to the Exxon a mile up the road. It's actually quite a beautiful station. It was built in a teepee shape, which makes it a unique place to visit. While the price for goods is a little steep in comparison to normal, it is on par with what is to be expected. However, one thing that makes it stand out is it's homemade burritos. I bought a beef, green chili, and potato one, and man was it delicious! Coupled with it's excellent customer service, I would say that a visit to this location is worth a visit, and I highly recommend coming here to fuel up during your trip.

That meant emergency food kept me alive/sustained until my next substantial meal--which was at this exceptionally clean stop, specifically in the Western section/Dairy Queen. I obviously didn't have a (motor)vehicle tank to refuel, but I certainly had an empty tank beneath my rib cage to fill! Manager Krystal gave me excellent directions about filling up with superb (needed!) COFFEE, then patiently assisted me as I figured out what my all-important Brekkie should consist of. And I needed all the help I could get--my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike had "slipped out" from under me when cycling over a rain-slicked cattle guard entering this great place, which certainly has my enthusiastic "Wheel of Approval!"

Some places are just businesses, and some places feel like a part of your day--like a stop you…read moreactually look forward to. This gas station is one of those places. Locally owned, well-run, and filled with people who genuinely care, it's more than just a place to fill up your tank or grab a bite to eat. The cooks here aren't just making food; they're putting heart into it. You can taste the effort, the consistency, and the pride in what they serve. They're kind, hardworking, and honorable in the way they treat customers. And the cashiers? They don't just ring you up, they know you, they greet you by name, and they remember your usual order before you even have to say a word. The environment itself is welcoming. No matter how your day is going, walking in feels like a little reset, like a place where people are happy to see you and where good energy seems to stick around. The car wash is another bonus, self-automated and always running smoothly, keeping vehicles spotless. And the overall cleanliness of the property is a reflection of the pride they take in their business. It's a rare thing to find a spot that makes everyday errands feel like something more than just routine. This place does exactly that. If you're looking for good food, good people, and a place that brightens your day, this is it.

Lucky for me the first time a diligent young checker spotted 3 of the 4 Blueberry muffins i purchased(i have severe visual impairment) were covered in mold. But this time it wasn't visual, the Banana Nut mini-muffins were stale as little rocks. To be fair the vendor makes decent baked goods. This is TOTALLY on Pepper's for not inspecting their displays. The display baked goods are overpriced and rarely fresh but they are adequate when not spoiled. I like their muffins but I will no longer be purchasing anything off their display ever again. Once is a mistake twice is a problem. Whoever runs the Bakery is not competent or too distracted and it hurts their customers. That is all.

I stopped here to fill up the tank, and everything was exactly what you hope for on a travel day. The Valero gas pumps were all in working order, the parking lot was clean and tidy, and getting in and out was easy. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. As I walked inside, not one, not two, but three different employees greeted me. That genuinely caught me off guard--in the best way! These days, you're lucky if the cashier looks up from the register, so having multiple staff members acknowledge me made the stop feel welcoming and appreciated. Inside, I noticed they have a fresh hot chicken counter with sides, a hot dog bar, and a café on the other side of the plaza. It really has a little something for everyone, whether you're a truck driver, road-tripper, local, or just passing through. I wasn't stopping for food this time since we'd already eaten, but everything looked fresh and smelled delicious. I'd definitely give it a try on my next visit. I also appreciated how well the space was laid out. It never felt crowded, and everything was clean and organized, making it easy to find what you need and get back on the road. Whether you need to fuel up, grab a meal, or simply stretch your legs for a few minutes, Chiricahua Apache Plaza is a solid stop. Friendly staff, clean facilities and restrooms, and plenty of food options make this an easy recommendation. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through the area!
