History
Established in 2013.
When Winstead Music opened its doors in March of 2013, it was the benchmark in the life of a student. With more than 15 years of dedicated practice to guitar and vocal technique, Niko Winstead (Owner) decided that he would open his studies to the public and share the gift of musical language. In a lifetime of musical influence and practice, Niko Winstead sees how his understanding of music is very often simple, yet elegant. After several years of serious study, Niko began teaching guitar and vocals at Easy Music Academy in Murrieta, California in early 2005. Here, he taught students ranging from 5 years old to 45 years old. Early on, Niko noticed how music was an innate joy that humanity had cultivated over time. How a passion to create or an avenue to release can be not only be catchy to sing along with, but also an extremely therapudic moment, for both performer and audience. Niko Winstead opened Winstead Music for those who wish to learn more about this wonderful craft.
Meet the Business Owner: Niko W.
Niko Winstead is a lifelong student of music. Being born into a heavily musical family, from an extremely early age, Niko has been cultivating his practice. He chose to focus on two instruments in particular, the guitar and his voice. From an early age, he practiced with his father in order to develop strength, precision, and dynamic style. With musical influences ranging from Van Halen and Ray Charles to Leadbelly and Beethoven, Niko began synthesizing a unique view on the craft of making music. In 2005 Niko began teaching at Easy Music Academy, focusing on guitar and vocal lessons to students of all ages. In 2009 he attended Point Loma Nazarene University for a degree in Music Composition. It was in school that Niko honed his skills of reading and writing music, learning in a more formal manner than opposed to his informal education growing up. After college, Niko Winstead opened the doors of Winstead Music to share his study and understanding with the local community.
