They are unethical and deceptive. They arrived late, 1.5 hours late to be exact and didn't call in a timely fashion. They were supposed to arrive at 9. They showed up at 1035. They were supposed to bring the company truck. I was told their truck broke down and they had to get a UHAUL. They sent 2 young men for a 4 bedroom house. I was told prior it would be 4 and that my move was loading and unloading only. The person responsible for setting this up no longer works there. The beds were broken down, packed the boxes, etc. prior to their arrival. They DID NOT have to pack or break down anything. One of the young men was awesome. The other well that's another story. I knew it was going nowhere fast when he tried to cut me a side deal to get a smaller UHaul and cut the company out and would make a second trip under the table. I should have reported him then but I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt. My response was no. He took lots of smoke breaks and stayed on the phone while we worked our butts off. Now get this the geniuses packed the boxes and did not get the large items such as my couches, tv stands, and numerous items. They load the boxes and leave your big items last and then sell you a song and dance about a second trip. I don't mind paying for services. My daddy brought me up to pay a man for his services. However, half of my house is still at my old address and we will have to drive it ourselves. Now get this, the genius owner sent an invoice for $965 when myself and the other gentleman did all the work. I didn't mind paying for services actually rendered. By the way, it is not an itemized invoice and what the other ladies are saying is right on the money. However I would have contacted All My Sons who would have done it for 1000 and I wouldn't have to lift a finger. All MY Sons told me since my move was so close, go with a local company because even though they are happy to do business with me, I should have the option to save money since it's a close move. This is how I ended up with this classic buffoonery. The owner threatened to take my items and if we did not pay $965. I literally paid $965 for a move from Jacksonville TX to Flint TX. All they literally did was load and unload. The owner sold a fairytale about how his employee is this perfect angel and has no complaints. This statement was a fallacy because I overheard the guy talking about issues with customers. Furthermore, it's irrelevant what someone else's experience is. My perception is my reality. He insulted my husband and I as if we were low class people who did not want to pay. We paid it, but now we are headed to move the rest of our stuff on our own. The only reason we paid that price is our credentials and what we have to lose. The owner stated he was coming over there and stated "they all act crazy when it's time to pay:" He was curt and quite unprofessional. In addition, his rock star employee informed me he had been to prison and he knows my spouse who works in law enforcement. I told him I knew you were a convict when I saw you. Heck, I put certain stuff in my vehicles because I sensed a "sticky fingers" vibe from him. If you will steal from your employer by making some de deals you will do it to me too. Here's the thing, you can make mistakes. Learn, grow. and be a better person. This young man hasn't learned anything which is reflected by his con artist actions today. Do yourself a favor, use a reputable agency with professionals that make you feel good about the job done. If there are no other alternatives, rent a UHaul and do it yourself and take my advice. Don't do it!! I have faith in knowing what goes around comes around and there are steps to take for checks and balances. read more
