At the entrance you will get a ticket-so you know how many people are waiting in the queue and there are comfortable seats in the waiting room. Very often at the entrance is someone who answers questions and direct you to the right place. There are also self-service points located on the right side of the entrance. .

It also has…read morequite a reasonable stock of items to help you with your posting, including boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap bags and a selection of writing accoutrements. It is also quite central which means you can do your other shopping while in town (though Buckingham is a market town with a quite small range of shops. The post office is also slightly novel in being the route to access a restaurant just above the counters. This was quite a fun place for a meal. The staff are always helpful.

Smaller post office that is far less crowded and far faster than the main one on St Andrew St…read more Staff are helpful and knowledgable. Really efficient and much more pleasant. No self service machines just real people who are friendly and happy to help with questions and even with prepaid returns. Note that it's in the back of a convenience store, so can be missed, but seriously much less chaotic and worth the walk to avoid the long lines over on St Andrews. There is also a great ATM on the outside of the shop that doesn't breakdown half as often as the ones on the main tourist path.

I swear this is like the Post Office of the future…read more There are no queues here. Instead, you take a ticket, and get to sit on a leather seat in air conditioned comfort. You just relax while fiddling on your phone, writing Yelp reviews or something, and then when your number gets called you go up and they sort out whatever you need to do. The result is a relaxed atmosphere and staff who seem happy, and therefor treat you well. They are keen and happy to help, and the post office offers all the usual services you expect. It's really good here, for a Post Office :)

This Post Office is located on the corner of Farringdon Road and Rosebery Avenue (EC1) and forms part of the big Royal Mail Mount Pleasant Mail Centre (sorting office) buildings, which is situated in between Kings Cross, Islington, Farringdon, and Bloomsbury.

They have a lovely fresh counter selling things like sandwhiches and cakes, an area outside selling local fresh eggs, another outside shelving area selling veg, as well as selling all the usual post office items. Although they manage to have a large variety in a small shop, this is the highest price post office I have found! Things are expensive, but if you need it, you need it and don't mind paying that extra 50p! Whenever I have sent parcels from this post office they have got to their destination so I have never had any bother with that. Parking is often a problem with space for 4 cars. Other than that, you have to park in a side street which isn't too bad!

The majoity of the staff are very helpful but there is one member who is slow and not very helpful. I have heard them have stand up rows with several people as they can have a condescending manner. Some lunch times can be very quiet and some are very busy. You can walk right up to the counter or be waiting 20 minites. There is no pattern to it, days of the week or date in the month seem to make no difference. There is a Christian bookshop to the back of the post office and a small restaurant upstairs which does does good, wholesome food. It is not very cheap, but it is all made fresh on the premises.

The Post Office checks passports and does car licenses as well as the more mundane stuff. And you can park - which must make it an option for people in North Oxford who have lost their post offices.
