It has now been one full year since Center Ossipee NH post office employees began a systematic…read morecampaign of retaliation and harassment against us solely because we filed a complaint online against a horrible carrier who randomly did not deliver our packages for no reason during all seasons for over a 2 year period. During that time I tried repeatedly to go to the post office, speak with L. Pendarvis and hope the situation would be dealt with. I never at any time spoke to the carrier about this issue; I felt it was the right thing to do to go to the postmistress instead. Whenever I went there, I was immediately met by Lorey having a defensive, 'pissy' attitude. I was always polite, but Lorey simply would never listen or take any action whatsoever. One day the carrier DID NOT deliver our package, but left a note saying "PACKAGE DELIVERED TO PORCH". No package was anywhere on the property, causing us to run up and down the street checking with neighbors to try and find our package. Finally we went to the post office where Lorey hid in the back room making a phone call so we would not hear. She came back and said our package was 'with the carrier', (duh), and she didn't know 'why she would have left the note saying delivered to porch'. She looked uncomfortable and shifty-eyed while saying this. This was the last straw, and so after over 2 years of having this totally incompetent carrier we finally filed a complaint online. This has now been a year of employees at the post office not delivering our packages, and of calling us on the phone only to yell and harass us, and to take part in creating false narratives and lies about us with the collusion of the agents at USPS (OIG, Maine) as a means to try and justify their withholding or our mail. Things became even more serious last June when we we received anonymous phone calls threatening us and a pet. We called the police and met with a sheriff's sergeant. We did online sleuthing and were able to discover who the person was, and the Ossipee police and Sheriff's dept. officers went to their home where they were told they would be arrested if there was one more episode. A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WAS ALSO FILED AGAINST THEM AT THE TIME. It's important to know that the sergeant stated that this harassment had happened AS A DIRECT RESULT OF EMPLOYEES OF CENTER OSSIPEE POST OFFICE MAKING FALSE AND INFLAMMATORY STATEMENTS ABOUT US WHILE AT WORK, TO RANDOM CUSTOMERS WHO DID NOT KNOW US. This then was the catalyst for someone to decide to anonymously threaten us. Yes, this is the kind of sick people working at USPS and at our local post office. We started early on to record every conversation with those employees when we realized that we had to fight against their outrageous lies. We installed a security camera. Now, a year later, this retaliation continues. This carrier lies repeatedly, makes up stories, and has never been reprimanded, held accountable, or lost her job. Linda is a despicable liar and an idiot. Recently she has told her bosses that she didn't deliver a small package to the mailbox because it was "too heavy". IT CONTAINED 2 POUNDS OF PROTEIN POWDER IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER WITHIN A COMPACT BOX. Another day she didn't deliver because she said she 'couldn't use her reaching stick'. ANOTHER DAMN LIE! I WATCHED HER FROM THE WINDOW RECENTLY AND SHE NEVER USED A STICK TO PUT PACKAGES I THE BOX. ALSO, DOES THIS SLEAZY LADY NOT REALIZE SHE IS ON CAMERA????? WE HAVE PROOF THAT HER EXCUSES ARE LIES. I was told recently that what had happened to us was not acceptable and would not continue, and that we would get ALL OUR MAIL/PACKAGES DELIVERED, yet the abuse continues. This is directed to employees of Center Ossipee post office since we know you see complaints. We are holding you accountable for the disgusting retaliation and abuse that continues. Months ago we had a CEASE AND DESIST LETTER SENT TO LOREY PENDARVIS/(LINDA/OTHERS) DUE TO HER/THEIR VICIOUS GOSSIPING THAT HAD CAUSED THE HARASSMENT AND CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WE HAD TO FILE. WE ARE STILL CONSIDERING TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THESE PEOPLE DUE TO OUTRIGHT SLANDER AGAINST US. Due to the fact that this has now been ongoing for a full year, we have just again sent a package of material to someone at USPS in Washington DC who has to do with RETALIATION, ABUSE, AND HARASSMENT AGAINST CUSTOMERS. Do you people not understand that we have physical proof? We have audio of what you have said. We have video of the carrier delivering and NOT DELIVERING PACKAGES, and PROOF THAT SHE HAS LIED! We have police reports. We have witnesses that have come forward to us that heard you and offered to testify against you;. We are responsible, contributing citizens who have lived here for over 26 years. We have never had an issue with a carrier, etc., and never had to make a complaint before a year ago. EVERY SINGLE THING YOU HAVE BASED YOUR CHOICE TO NOT DELIVER OUR MAIL ON THAT THIS CARRIER SAID IS A LIE AND MADE

On our way home from Lincoln, NH we were gonna stop here and see this magnificent place that was built in the late 1800's. The drive from Lincoln was beautiful and took us through a lake front town. Once we got to the street it was on a dead end, driving all the way down only to find there was a steep icy hill that looked like no one had driven on in a long time. Not wanting to chance it we decided to turn around. I was very disappointed but maybe in the spring or summer we would have better luck. FYI there were a ton of "No Trespassing" signs posted on the trees lining the steep hill/ driveway.

This is absolutely not true because our street and driveway were all plowed and clear at the time they "attempted" delivery. Also our regular postal delivery person had no problem delivering our regular mail and I had no problem making it down my street to go to the store in my front wheel drive car. This is the second time they have lied about attempting delivery. And of course I tried calling them today and the phone just rang and rang 30 times and no one can even bother to answer. There are many wonderful resources available from books to read to kits one can check out to learn about/do a vast variety of things. There is one room with a fireplace and comfy seating where one could sit for hours reading a book, newspaper or magazine. The same room has puzzles set up on tables in case you want to try your hand at something else for a bit. Of course, books line the walls of this room too as they do all the other rooms and nooks and crannies throughout the 2 story building. Upstairs, there is also a Teen Room. There are also computers for use and racks with videos to check out. Downstairs is a fantastic children's room that is appealing to all and beautifully decorated in vibrant colors. More computers, tons of books, play areas and a separate room for story time and other offerings for kids are available. Many adult classes are taught on a regular schedule and they are taught in a downstairs area separate from the children's section. Hours are great---they are open until 8pm 2 nights a week and until 2 on Saturday. Needless to say, Gilford Public Library is a great asset to our town and is enjoyed and appreciated for all it has to offer. It is definitely one of my happy places that I hope to enjoy for many years.

He said: " He/she is trustworthy, helpful loyal, friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, obedient, brave, clean and reverent." These attributes, to me, describe the working people at the Gilford, N.H. library. The Gilford residents should be very proud of their existing, modern, well operated, library.

If you put the Town Hall on your GPS, it's right at the end of their parking lot to the right. I recommend this picturesque stop while in Gilford!

It is an incredibly disappointing experience. I understand why it is the way it is but that makes it no less annoying to work here.

Beautiful, quaint library in the town center of New Hampton. This library has a great assortment of…read morebooks and media. Anything that is not readily available can be ordered. The librarians go above and beyond to assist in this. There is a wonderful story time available for little ones every Thursday. My children also enjoy going to their STEM Saturdays and writing meetings. There are so many programs available:Yoga for babies and adults, garden club, and free on-line language programs that my home-schooled children frequently use. Especially nice is a little store located inside the library that support our local artisans. Gordon-Nash is a gem in our community!
