It was nice to see one at this mall. If you expect this Winners to be an outlet version of the store, it's not the case. It's more a convenient way to access a Winners in an air-conditioned mall with shoppers looking for a deal by default. It is a nice Winners. I focused my attention on housewares and phone accessories. This store has an extremely diverse set of drinkware. If you want blingy glasses with rainbows on them, you can find a set here. If you are looking for huge tumblers to bring water or whatever you'd like to consume everywhere and stay hydrated, there is one for you. I like looking at phone accessories. From car mounts for your phone, to USB C cables, I love checking out what's out there. I am a PopSockets person. It's easier for me to take photos with it and hold my phone in general. I ended up getting a couple of them here. One was an enamel watermelon. It would go well with my watermelon t-shirt that I had just bought and my stuffing myself with watermelon all summer. The other one had smiling flowers on it. The kitchen gadgets were great here. I saw everything from butterfly moulds to garlic presses. There was a Mr Men mug set that was adorable. This store also has a lot of Hello Kitty items, from storage containers, to a chopstick-plate set. I went to pay for my items at the checkout. The woman there was pleasant. I had my TJX Style+ barcode scanned from my phone. I then paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. I thanked the woman and placed my items in my bag. I was done shopping at this mall after at least a couple of hours, so I headed to my rental vehicle and went to fetch dinner. I liked shopping at this Winners. It was clean and I liked my PopSocket purchases at decent prices. (295)

I sound like a broken record. I find it odd having this building and a huge P.F. Chang's nearby. This area is vast. There are more parking spots than people and stores combined. The area needs either more stores or housing, or even both. My original intent was to find a washroom, hoping that HomeSense would have a public women's washroom. Nope. It was a huge letdown for my bladder and me. I'm taking one star off for lacking a public washroom. This entire building doesn't have one, which seems bizarre. I briefly looked at the merchandise here. I liked a large laundry bag that had a denim look to it. It had side pockets for storage, which I loved. There were lots of Christmas decor ideas. I saw everything from large silver ball ornaments, to reindeer and Santa figures. It felt like Christmas. There were snacks and festive napkins by the shared checkout area. It was nice to look at. I liked my brief perusal around the store. I'd return when I'm in the area when my bladder isn't full and I can shop here at a leisurely pace. (492)

We went here on our first day. We had been trudging through the downtown trying to find good places to eat and chill, and when we finally found The Forks Market, it was a much needed solace from the both the summer heat and the quiet of downtown. We walked in and we were immediately amazed. This place has so much food variety, as expected from being a food market in Canada. I spied a pizza place, a Sri Lankan food spot, a taco store, and so much more. I could've spent my entire trip eating here as there were so many options. We tried the several spots: - From Habanero Sombrero, we tried three tacos: one shrimp, one fish, and one beef. They were all stellar. - We tried some Thai dumplings from an Asian spot and it was amazing. I've never had peanut flavoured sauce in dumplings before so it was a nice find! - We tried beverages from Fools and Horses. We enjoyed the drinks we got (I got a chai drink and a tea drink on multiple occasions). My boyfriend wasn't a fan of the matcha. The food here is all very affordable and there's a variety of savoury and sweet places if you wanted to get dessert after your meal. The upper floor mainly has shops (the lower floor has a few shops too, such as a candy store and a souvenir shop). The shops on the other hand are a little pricey for me but they do offer tons of goods that feel very Canadian/Winnipeg. There's a sitting place upstairs if you can't find a place to eat downstairs, or if you want to lounge around. I was overall very ecstatic to spend time in this market, so much so that I went again the following day. I would highly recommend this as a stop if you're ever in Winnipeg.

I was especially delighted to find straw hats with almost comically large brims. If I hadn't been flying home I would have bought one of these for sure, I've always wanted one and I think they look great. Prices are fair and the shop is located in a lovely area with lots of heritage buildings and other cute shops and a bunch of artisan studios nearby.

When I owned my first car in Winnipeg, my first grocery store run with it was to this store on Bison Drive. It's the closest one to the University of Manitoba. You basically do the Bison Drive-Chancellor Matheson Road combination to travel between the two places. This grocery store has been around for eons. I remember it as being a green-coloured building with yellow and black lettering when I first saw it and shopped here. It was the case for all Real Canadian Superstores in Winnipeg. When I moved back to the greater Toronto area, all of these stores were white with blue trim and some red. It was quite the transition! It was exciting for me to park my car, bring a bunch of bags into the store, buy groceries, bag them, and head to my car to put them away. I was so used to either hauling my groceries to and from my local Safeway, or doing delivery on larger orders before I had a car. Safeway was great, but there seemed to be more value and variety at this store. There was plenty of parking. At the time, this store didn't have a gas station. I'm not sure if that's still the case. What caught my attention were these huge muffins. You got six in a package. The base was cardboard. Plastic wrap allowed you to see the muffins while they stayed fresh. They were so soft and yummy. I loved getting the chocolate chip ones. There was a variety pack that had this flavour and blueberry. Both were amazing. You do need to put a deposit in to use a cart. Bring some change just for the cart. The aisles at this store were wide. I appreciated it, especially when you are rolling past other shoppers with carts. I remember the produce being fresh. I was into salads back then (not really a huge change compared to me now), so I was always getting romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. The frozen foods section was cool. I loved getting lasagna. I started making my own lasagna and got tired of it... haha! There were two sizes. The size that I got depended on whether I had company over or just wanted leftovers. I'm not sure whether it still has the kilogram size. It was large and a revelation to me at the time. It was perfect to feed a few folks. It was also yummy. I drank a lot of skim milk back then. I'd always get a jug. It was cheaper than going with a one-litre carton. I stopped drinking skim milk when I moved back to Markham, realized that I was borderline lactose-intolerant, and found out that skim milk had sugar in it. The President's Choice chocolate chip cookies were also a staple for me. They were yummy and the price was right. I'd often get a couple of packages each time I paid a visit. I do miss Winnipeg and this grocery store. I hope to relive memories shopping here whenever I'm back in the city. If you are a local, this grocery store is located in a plaza with a medical centre and more. The Pembina 60 bus should still be kicking around to get you here if you don't have a vehicle. (207)

There was lots of parking. I backed into a spot and walked in. What stands out is a decent number of Kipling bags. I didn't need any, but they had smaller ones at this store. Finding them made me happy. The housewares section was also enjoyable to browse. I liked everything from silicone ice cube trays, to glass drinkware. The shoe department was great. The selection of women's size 11 shoes made me happy. I liked the sneakers. In the men's section, it had Airwalk sneakers. I hadn't seen those in ages! Before I left, I had to check out the phone accessories section. I like getting PopSockets at reasonable prices. This store had some styles that I had never seen before. I also saw my first MagSafe charger at any Winners store. It was exciting to me spotting a technology unicorn. I enjoyed browsing around. I'd return again when I'm in the area. Maybe I'll find something that I end up purchasing next time. (288)
