Winn Dixie here again to save the day. Okay so yes, it is March 17th 2020 and we are in the midst of a global pandemic. And so in this current state there is no toilet paper, chicken, paper towel, water bottles (which I'm sorry I didn't know it was a hurricane we were preparing for over here), or hand sanitizer but there's plenty of everything else. They currently have a station set up when you walk in with all kinds of sanitizing wipes and sprays. This is always a quiet store. It's easy to get in and out of and never feels understaffed. I appreciate Winn Dixie for so many reasons and this includes their short sale prices. I always take advantage of short sale on produce or cheese items when cooking for a crowd. You'll know it's short sale because the item is usually reduced in price by about 25% and there is a sticker on it to let you know. That being said it's important to inspect your item because while Winn Dixie is the champion of value they are not the champion of disposing spoiled food... Another reason to love on this Winn Dixie is their growing "health" section. Its definitely one of the smaller ones at of all the WD's and it's certainly no Lucky's (RIP) or EarthFare (RIP). BUT they do have a decent selection of things such as chickpea pasta, lentil chips etc... etc... Every time I go it appears they add more to the lineup! Truth be told this is a solid grocery store. No bells or frills or glitter, just fairly priced food goods. read more

I'm kicking myself for forgetting to pick up fresh parsley at Publix today. Last minute, I jetted over to the closest grocer - Winn Dixie. I made a beeline to the produce and didn't see any fresh bundles as I would at its competitor. I pretty much missed the section with fresh herbs the first go-around, and what they had to offer... sucked. Small amounts in small plastic boxes. And there was only one parsley. Not one variety of parsley, quite literally one package. And about a third of it was yellow. FML. I picked it up and hoped it would be enough because I had no time to go back to Publix. There were a couple check out lines open and I ended up in the one with the fewest people, but the woman checking me out was... not that great. She chatted about BS with the customers in front of me, and while the person in front of me was paying, she just let the conveyor run, so the the person behind me had all their crap rolling over the one little thing. After being charged $3, she sent me on my way with a receipt to review my experience. I'm halfway tempted to tell the Dixie about this hot mess of a store... It was just another reminder of why I shouldn't come here, even though it's the most convenient option for groceries. read more

I like WD - they have a great veggie and fruit area and the entire store is well stocked, fresh and clean. The staff is friendly and the few times I have had to contact Customer Service it was no questions asked, and promptly made the issue right. read more

I purchased some sunglasses at this Winn Dixie while on our last vacation to Treasure Island. Unfortunately, my glasses broke on the plane ride home. I searched online to find a replacement; however, could not find them available. On a whim, I called the store and spoke to Brandi. She was phenomenal! She said she had 2 pairs in stock. I asked if there was a possibility to purchase them and have them sent to me. She said that they didn't have anything setup to mail out purchases; however she said she would help me. Brandi sent me an invoice via PayPal. She was absolutely amazing! She mailed the sunglasses to my home. Brandi is a consummate professional! She went above and beyond to help me out. I am very grateful for her efforts to help me & this shows what kind of person she is. Thank you Brandi! read more

Expen$ive compared to the other grocers around. Appeared well stocked and clean. Check out Publix or walmart for valve.

Love this Winn-Dixie... it is so much better than any of the stores in Tampa. I was so impressed with the selection they had and how clean everything was. Definitely going to make this art grocery store when we're in town! read more

Convenient location, slightly (not much) cheaper than Publix, but nearly all products are already expired or soon to be. :( But it's Florida, decent grocery stores are hard to come by. read more

For a beach grocery store, the Winn Dixie is very affordable and I find everything I need here. Worth noting is that the rotisserie chicken salad from the deli is to die for! Love the Wing Bar, too. read more

They don't even deserve ONE star . They open at 10am on Sundays and had an agreement to let athletes park there at 7am for a race. We would've all been done by the time the store opened. They then decided at the last minute they were goi g to tow people. Seriously?? The sheriff couldn't even talk them out of it. I never liked Winn Dixie - and now they have 600 athletes that they've totally pissed off. Great move and way to help out the community. #winndixiesucks read more

Very friendly staff. On a weekend getaway and needed some grub. When I got to the checkout the cashier asked me if I had my Win Dixie card. I did not and my phone number didnt come up in the system. The cashier saw my frustration and used a different number that savdd me the 10 bucks. Our NY strip was really great and the vegies were fresh. We try to come to Madeira Beach often and will be shopping here more often. read more

So this Saturday we went into win Dixie and to get a drink after being out on the boat all day and we parked our truck and boat in the parking lot. Just like any other customer would do. And was inside the store for about 15 min or so just walking around looking for something else to eat. Came out to find our truck and boat were towed. Mind you there are no signs at all saying if we park in a parking spot we will get towed. This cost us $260.00 to get out boat and truck from the tow yard. I can't believe they would tow our truck when we were in the store and tow it that quickly. We are paying customers is that not what the parking lot is for? I will never shop at Win Dixie again because of this. I would understand if we were parked illegally but we were not. I warn everyone don't shop here you might go into the store and come out to find your vehicle has been towed. read more

When the Publix closed up the street, we started to shop here because it was close. I have complained about the produce before and the district manager keeps saying "thanks for bringing it to our attention, we can only improve if we know what is wrong." Although this grocery is only a couple of blocks away... I give up. I will not waste my money on produce that goes bad the next day. I am so angry with Winn dick me right now. Horrible produce and sub par management. read more

The horror! Since bi-Lo bought them all their food has been awful. 3 times now I have gotten bad fish and had to throw it out. Vegetables are sub-par. I only go there to buy sealed brand name products. I've been shopping there for 8 years now I go to the Publix across the bridge and they are EXCELLENT, never going to W/D anymore. read more

I came here tonight (9/17) specifically to get some dessert / snack items ( e.g., Hostess products). What do I find? Nearly all of them weeks old! Best if eaten weeks ago. Why do you still have these products on your shelves? Shame on Winn Dixie and shame on your local delivery people who are apparently not checking or turning over the stock! So, I leave having not bought any of them. A lost sale and an annoyed customer for you all wasting my time. read more

I drive an extra mile past Publix to Winn-Dixie for the Deli items. In-store made rotisserie chicken salad, antipasto, roasted turkey - list goes on, these are just our favorites. Staff is always pleasant and helpful, the store is well-lit and spacious. Only drawback is checkout can sometimes be backed up. read more

My wife and I are from Illinois, we come down here twice a year to enjoy the weather and the beach. I just want to say that this Winn-Dixie is one of the best grocery store for there Deli and fresh food. A small quaint store, with very friendly people. read more

This is the best Winn Dixie in the entire chain. I always get the corner neighborhood market feeling when I walk through the door, I feel like they actually want my business and go that extra step to keep it that way. Three employees that go the extra mile are Glenna, Bob and Roddy.. It is a pleasure to shop at Winn Dixie. read more
