I had gone to one other traditional boutique and felt a little rushed because I hadn't had time to browse the racks before my appointment and didn't know what kind of style I wanted. So the more laidback vibe of BFAC was appealing to me as I wanted to peruse at my leisure and I was able to try on any style dress I wanted. I booked a solo appointment so I could just try on what I wanted, but not having someone there to help with zipping up made me a little slower with the dresses. The girls were able to help with zipping and clipping when I needed it. I was able to try on 8 different dresses (of varying degrees of condition). Most dresses were priced under 1000 but I did see many that had broken zippers/ripped seams/sold as is that would need repair. I ended up going a bit over my appointment time but the girls were so gracious in giving me more time, probably because I was there alone. Also I'm normally a 4 in street size but they recommended sizing up so I was looking at dresses between 6-8 which they had significant stock of. I stumbled on an absolute GEM of a dress that was a sample by Maggie Sottero. It was the second dress I had tried and it fit like a glove, was in pristine condition, and was so beautiful. The girls were so nice in hyping me up. I felt so pretty and comfortable in the dress but I didn't have the wow moment or tears so I was actually unsure if that was "my dress" but they were able to hold it for me for 24 hours. The hold was nice but stressful for me because I wanted more time to think about it (which is the nice thing about traditional stores that have normal stocked designers where you can try on a dress and return weeks to months later and still be able to buy it, but if I didn't buy this one, there wasn't a guarantee it would be there again next time). I ended up going back the following day (no appointment needed) to try it on again and styled it in different ways to see what alterations I would want and I realized I would be devastated if I passed on it and would regret not getting it right then. When I was paying for the dress, the girls actually said they had just gotten the dress in too so if you don't find a dress initially, check back again because it seems their stock rotates frequently and you might be able to find a really good quality dress for a fraction of the cost (I ended up saving 70% of the retail cost at BFAC).

They have a few bar top tables and seats as well as some.booths to take a break from the dance floor. DJ plays some of the good stuff that we like. Look out for social media, we go featured on our second visit along with some other bar hoppers. We Insta famous, lol! Be sure to have your I.D. to get in. I forgot how much the cover charge was, but it didn't break the bank. Bartenders and bouncers are cool, didn't give us any hassle. A round that included a margarita, a Corona, and a craft IPA came out to just over $20, which is hard to beat. They also have a really great beer selection on tap. There were TVs everywhere, the crowd was energetic and fun, and after the game they even provided complimentary lunch. They had hot dogs, incredible deli meat sandwiches, and warm meatball sandwiches with all of it being delicious. The office is split in two with one side for classes and for you to study up for the test you are there for. Most people are coming here for the foood handler card but I saw a class in session for security training on the Monday holiday. One side is where the admin sits and there are small tables there too for test taking. they hand you a lengthy packet that is somewhat easy/too lengthy to read fully. Then afterwards the admin hands you the test which has 34 questions. Half are true false. They will ask detailed questions like: how many seconds does the thermometer have to stay on to register a temp.. which stumped me lol good luck! Also they move very slow here if there's a large crowd..
