Intimate, close, but also spacious. Came here to see 76th street. The men working the door and people bartending made the experience easy. I have anxiety at venues and it was so easy, we found a table on the "dance floor" and were able to see the stage and get around easy. Will definitely be back. A local charm spot you picture being the venue in books

I've been here a couple of times to see some shows and it's a really nice local spot for small, unknown bands. It's pretty fun being able to be right up close to the artists. The sound quality needs some work though. I'm not sure if it is because the space is soo small that the sound doesn't have space to go, but it can get muffled if you aren't standing in the right spots. The drinks are pretty expensive here for what you get. I rarely feel like my drink even contains any alcohol so I feel jipped. The staff is also extremely rude at closing time. They are yelling at everyone to get out and move faster even if there is literally no room for you to move. I get y'all wanna go home after your shift is over, but there is no need to be that rude to the paying customers. Despite the rude staff, it's still a nice venue to come to for live music.

I really like how small this venue is! It allows you to get way close to the stage and really experience the show you're seeing! I've been here twice now and I always have a good time! It's a casual environment and it's fun to come and see smaller artists here! The cocktail menu is okay, I mostly stick to beer at venues like this, but they have some great options for beer! The sound can get pretty loud since it's a smaller space so I would recommend brining earplugs or they sell them at the bar for $1- it will really save your ears! Overall, I enjoy this venue a lot and would go back again and again for more shows

I attended a concert here to see Ramona. I had always wanted to check this place out as a frequent concert goer but shows here are 21+. I honestly have nothing negative to say about the venue. It was a hot summer day and the inside was nice and surprisingly not too hot durring the concert. I didn't order any drinks so unlike other reviews I can't state if any bartenders were rude. All the employees seemed pretty happy to be there :) The line moved pretty fast to get in and they only have 2 restrooms but they were pretty clean prior to the concert starting. Bathrooms 5/5 stars Venue 5/5 stars Employees 5/5 stars Parking 5/5 for plenty street parking (i'd suggest getting a lil early to the venue) Pricing for concert ticket 5/5

Have been to SB in ages! Won tickets to see Letters to Cleo and so glad I did because I had the best darn time. The opening band Broken Baby came out with awesome energy and great songs to get the crowd hyped up. There was a brief intermission and then Letters to Cleo came out and the crowd was ready to erupt and dance and sing-a-long. The acoustics in SB is better than I remembered. Bar staff were cool. Loved the draft cocktails! It was a good damn wholesome night!

Great place to see bands- very cozy and intimate. Not fancy. Not a lot of seating so if you're old get there early

Ask the Community - Soda Bar

Are the concerts seated or standing room only?

There's some seating if you get there when the doors open (booths, hi-top tables, etc)... first-come, first-served I suspect. Otherwise it'll be standing room. At least this has been my experience.

Is this place handicap accessible?

Way too small to be, but sure

Are under 21 year olds allowed in for a concert?

Nope

I'm 18 can I go to this place?

21+

Small venue and sometimes the sound can be pretty loud so I recommend bringing ear plugs.

And nothing touches this scene. Great drinks. Even better people. The kind of place where you walk in for "just one" and somehow look up three hours later wondering how you got so comfortable, so fast. Whether it's your first stop of the night or your last, you'll spend the entire time grinning like you're exactly where you're supposed to be and nowhere you're supposed to be. Pro tip: mention the name Lee at the door for free popcorn all night. (Okay, fine. The popcorn's already free. But now you've got an excuse to say Lee's name with confidence.) He went to the restroom and us girls went to ours, they're in the same hallway & you have to pass the women's restroom to get to the men's. As I was exiting the girls bathroom he walked directly past me and I trailed behind him, then all of a sudden I hear one of the girl bartenders ask him to leave because she said she saw him exit the women's restroom. She was LOUD & reactive, like she was 100% sure she saw that, she grabbed 2 of the security guards & asked to get him out because she saw him come out of the girls restroom. WHICH WAS A LIE!! It was humiliating & if she would've just ran back the cameras she would see that is absolutely NOT what happened. It was unprofessional, ridiculous,& tasteless. I get you have to be aware in these situations but she was SO WRONG in this particular instance I was appalled. Therefore if the manager or owner would like to run back tapes on January 30th around 12 am, they will see he did not exit the women's bathroom. I really hope there's some type of repercussions for type of accusation.

My husband and I are sucker for divey spots and the Old Town Saloon looked EXACTLY like our vibe. It definitely was a cool spot and not sticky or on the dirty side like a lotta dives, but still had that classic dive feel to it. We had different bartenders both days we came, and both of them were great. Not too talkative but still really nice and quick to get our drink orders. Like most of Old Town, the Old Town Saloon is themed to fit the rest of the area. They have TouchTunes here so you can play plenty of music, and also at least one pool table (I only saw one, not sure if there were more around the corner). Only "downside" is that they don't have any food here, but you're allowed to bring food in (which we did from a local vendor). If you're in the area it's definitely worth it to stop in for a drink or two - we could've spent all day here and would definitely stop in again when we're back in town.
