Food is tasty and they give really generous portions for how much they're charging! I got combo B (you can sub the chicken fried rice with a different carb, eg the noodles, if you'd like) with sesame chicken + chicken with green beans, but they have lots of other options as well (eg chicken wings, orange chicken, black pepper beef, broccoli beef, shrimp with veggies, etc). Service was super quick and it looks like a really popular place for takeout! There are two tables (one seats 4 and the other seats 2).

I'm like fine whatever but my favorite thing to get The chow mein! Oh man it was so disgusting it had an after taste of what I can only describe as if you were to rinse a metal tray in extreme hot water but the metal tray has old spoiled food still stuck to it. Like hot dirty water metal taste. I have been going here for yearsss I get Chinese food them boba probably 10 years sadly this is my last time. Update: same day it's 9:51pm I have thrown up and my partner had to use the bathroom twice our stomach is killing us. We're going to report and get documentation from the ER of food poising and file a report.

The name of this nondescript takeout operation is actually its address on Macdonald Avenue. Ironically, the most popular place to eat in this neighborhood is McDonald's. I barely found it because it looks like a vacant storefront with a For Lease sign. A red OPEN sign was the only giveaway. I happened to read that this place offers some excellent Korean-style dishes. I think the menu can be more accurately described as global. It's apparently a mother-and-son business with the kitchen run by a Korean-American chef named Daniel who doesn't share his last name. His mother works the front of the house, and people order beforehand and come in for pick up. There's a community table presumably set up for dining, but the space felt more like a dental waiting area. Through the order window, I could see Daniel way in the back beyond a passthrough. I used their QR code to review the menu and order on the spot. All the entrees appeared enticing including Grilled Short Rib and Fried Pitman Farms Chicken. I chose the $24.50 Market Grain Salad. It was beautifully presented even in a takeout box (Photo 9). There was a mix of arugula, iceberg, romaine, and Treviso radicchio at the base topped with visual jewels: Fuji apple, Sonia Rojas cara cara orange, blood orange, mandarin orange, muscat grapes, and avocado. Further toppings included spring onion., tarragon, sunflower seeds, English cucumber, heirloom carrots, and French breakfast radish. Farro, red quinoa, and French feta cheese added more layers of flavor and texture. Harissa grilled Pitman Farms chicken provided a succulent serving of protein, and a unique sesame soy lemon chili dressing finished off a masterful creation. It was an impeccable salad. The $11 Skin On Gaufrette Fries were cross-cut and impossibly tender with a tasty dipping sauce (Photo 6). A genuine winner! FOOD - 5 stars...honestly one of the best entree salads assembled plus light waffle fries that delight AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...not meant for dining but the space serves its purpose SERVICE - 4.5 stars...very conscientious, just took a half-hour for my order TOTAL - 5 stars...this is a hidden gem in Richmond..it's an eight-minute walk from BART if that works better for you RELATED - Exploring Richmond? I am surprised I have never reviewed it. Recently, I did a small catering order with the owner. She was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. Since they do not offer a catering menu, the order is based on how many items you want. I ordered 12 chicken and 12 pork sandwiches; And 20 orders of pork eggrolls. Everything was split in halves and tasted fantastic. My guests were very happy.

It's like a pho salad. It has tons of bean sprouts underneath the noodles and a lot of deep fried garlic pieces that make the noodles taste like Hong Kong crunchy noodles. At first I thought the egg noodles were fried. It was crunchy and there wasn't a lot of noodles but mostly a lot of sprouts and herbs. There were a lot of fatty barbecue pieces that I did not eat. I enjoyed one shrimp and one piece of squid. There were a ton of fake crab meat. The side soup was very nice and hot but had a taste of chicken fat and lots of salt and MSG. The noodle dish is extremely tasty and doesn't need any addition of soup. This was excellent on a hot day after a nice hike at Tilden Park. My husband ordered the same dish as me at my recommendation and loved it. My friend had their chow fun with seafood and barbecue. She enjoyed it and it was a generous amount so she took home half. This place is not shy about using MSG and the food is very salty and strong tasting. I find the dishes much cheaper than other Vietnamese restaurants. My dish was only $13.50. That's very cheap since it was full of herbs and seafood. Service is very efficient when they're not busy. No frills. Service is very slow when it's busy. Most of their customers are people who are coming here during their office lunch break during the weekdays. I noticed it was very quiet on a weekend. I'm still going to go back to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Berkeley next time I am in the area, Phosho Dough.
