I have yet to experience what many other reviewers claim. Even during slow periods, the wait times can be extremely long. The employees always look overworked, which most likely further extends the wait for meals. The chicken pieces are surprisingly small and hardly worth the price when the order eventually arrives. All in all, it's really not the best restaurant in town. read more

Wings or something I normally make myself at home in my air fryer because they're not really a big deal to do but one afternoon I just decided I really needed wings and I had been working in the house all day and didn't want to go to the grocery store so I went to one of my delivery apps and looked up Wingstop. I was going to order the meal of classic wings and fries but before I clicked the order button, I noticed there was a special listed for 20 boneless wings. Now, being a wing lover, I had never had boneless before because to me those are just chicken nuggets and not wings. But something made me decide to try them and I am very glad I did. This was my first order so I wasn't quite sure on the flavors I wanted. I ended up choosing mild, Louisiana rub, and a garlic Parmesan. For my side I chose fries. you can also choose carrots and celery, which are a traditional side but I have those at home so I ordered fries I figured with all the food I could have at least a couple of meals. Not only was this enough food for days I couldn't believe how good the Louisiana rub flavor was! I also liked the garlic Parmesan, and the mild wasn't bad, although it was my least favorite, which was surprising. I will say that, even though the boneless are not the same as the regular wings, you get a ton of meat, and I had enough for dinner and lunches for the next few days. I would toss some of the fries and chicken in my air fryer on the reheat setting and they turned out perfectly every time. I enjoyed them so much that a few weeks later I wanted to have some chicken and ordered this again. This time I chose the Louisiana rub flavor for all of the chicken and I ordered the celery and carrots as my side instead of the fries. The fries were good and they do have a nice seasoning on them but I was trying to be a little more healthy this time lol once again, there was a lot of food and I have enough for several lunches and dinners. I don't mind eating leftovers, so this is been a really good deal. Otherwise it would be plenty for 3 to 4 adults dinner. I would recommend this, unless you are not a fan of salt or use very little salt in your food. I didn't notice this time that the chicken does taste a bit salty so if it's something you don't normally eat, you may not like this particular flavor, but there are, a ton of flavors to choose from for your chicken and there are options for your fries as well. There are other sides offered if you're not into fries and they have a good selection of drinks as well. Even though I ordered twice within a short amount of time I would definitely order again soon. read more

I've been to multiple wingstops and this particular location is by far the worst. I ordered a simple combo and waited over an hour during a time when it wasn't even busy. When I finally received my order, it was cold, the fries were not seasoned, and I was not given ranch. Wingstop itself is not a bad restaurant, it is actually one of my favorites, but the Wingstop in Porterville, CA is the absolute worst restaurant in the city. The turn around time is ridiculous, I have never had an order been completed in under an hour. It takes traditional wings 20 minutes to cook all the way through, and boneless wings 15 minutes or less, plus maybe 6 minutes to sauce and package. Everytime I order, even if I order on the app ahead of time, they say it will be a 45 minute to an hour wait and I end up waiting like an hour and 20 minutes or more. The staff is always different which probably points our poor management since people are always in and out of there. The employees don't wear any gloves, which is okay in food service, IF they wash their hands frequently but they do not. I have seen employees take orders, handle money, then go and start working in the kitchen. They often have vulgar music playing and are always cussing, talking shit to each other, that's cool you guys can have fun at work but not when the restaurant is full and all the customers can see you. Last complaint is they have asked me to do the survey on the receipt and told me if I showed them I completed it I could get a free order of fries. I did the survey and showed them it was complete but then the same worker said I had to wait till corporate emailed me the coupon. That is NOT what she instructed me to do when she first had me fill out the survey, definitely do not recommend this place unless you're okay waiting an hour and a half for your food. read more

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have more good reviews! I tried this place for the first time since it's been here in porterville, we got an assortment of things. I will say my service was quick, and so was my waiting time, there was plenty of pick up orders and people dining in, and the time was during the day so maybe that could be why. the girls in the front were very nice. I had the lemon pepper and mild, it was delicious! The lemon pepper is not ever powering and has a bit of pepper heat, my wings were cooked crispy and fresh, and the mild is like a regular buffalo sauce, some heat. Also tried the spicy chicken sandwich lemon pepper flavored, it was delicious! Also the bbq wings and Parmesan wings were really good! Now the French fries, I like how when the order is to go the fries are in the bag on top and not in their own container, because it prevents the sogginess! That's great thinking. The fries are freaking delicious they taste like actual potatoes Not to salty they're were just right. Of course the ranch was delicious I've heard it's made there which is nice. It's unfortunate to even have to rate this place so low, as it was one of my favorites in area. I'm not sure what's going on, but the last two times that I've been there, the wings have not been good. Both times I've gone on a Friday night, so maybe it's the night crew? Anyways, the place is decently clean and so are the bathrooms. The service is hit and miss. Sometimes they are super nice and sometimes they seem to careless if you order or not. The most recent time I went in, I order on the phone for take out. A few people got their food before I did (they ordered at the counter right after I paid for mine). When I got my food, the wings were cold, the Louisiana wings had barely any seasoning, and the BBQ ones did not even taste like their regular BBQ sauce. I'll try to visit during the day next time. We tried calling Wingstop but all they could tell us was to call Door Dash... but they don't have any number or contact information. We drove to the store and talked to the manager. This place is great to go with friends. The people here are very nice and friendly, I just love going up to the register and ordering food because the service here is that great.
