This place won't just make you love their wings, it will make you appreciate the craft of cooking…read morewings. Wings are like sushi. It's a simple food that reflects the care given to each aspect of its preparation. The main hot sauce has that special level of tang that makes you want to take another bite. As for the bake, the skin is crispy, part of the restaurant's made-to-order nature. That does mean you need to call a good deal of time ahead, so plan ahead. I have seen some reviewers complain that the wings are not jumbo-sized. If you want the most meat possible, get some fried chicken and dip it in hot sauce. I won't judge. If you want great wings, the smaller ones are better. This improves the sauce, skin, and meat ratios, creating a dense flavor experience. The menu has a focused but diverse selection of sauces, but I haven't been able to pull myself away from that main hot sauce to try them yet. As with the hot sauces, there is a focused selection of simple yet well-thought-out side dishes. A friend of mine got the chicken wrap and was able to get the jerk seasoning added to it. I'm looking forward to grabbing the BBQ Ranch Fries next time I go. If I had one suggestion, it would be for them to make their own blue cheese dressing. These wings deserve the best accompaniment.

So this bill came to 18.51 which in my mind is a little pricey for me. The food came out at 5:18 so that was only 10 minutes. The burger was big and it was juicy Buck on a scale of 1 to 10. It's not a 10 and it's definitely not a zero for me. Pretty bland in flavor but very edible. What that means. A lot of people might like it like that. Personally, I want a little bit more flavor in my burger. Now would I go there again for the price of $18 and I did not choose to get a drink. I personally can pick just about any place give or take a dollar or two. And when I say I would not choose to go there, I might try The other two fast food restaurants in this place. So there you have it. No negatives on the place. Just pricey. The help was very friendly. Place look clean. Make your own call on this one.

Highly recommend asking for her! The menu made choosing difficult because everything sounded delicious. There were plenty of seafood options, plus several great choices for our daughter who doesn't eat seafood. She ordered the grilled chicken entrée and fried mozzarella sticks and gave both a big thumbs up. My husband had the BBQ shrimp with an ah-maze-ing sauce that absolutely stole the show. We dipped everything in it--the cheddar biscuits, my hushpuppies, and even my fried catfish and soft shell crab. It was so good that I brought the extra sauce home with my leftovers and couldn't wait to eat them later that night... and I'm usually not a leftovers person! Long story short: definitely go, order the seafood, and ask for Emily!

So I've driven past the Picayune exit going from New Orleans into Mississippi a huge number of…read moretimes over the decades and I've recently thought about stopping to check this restaurant out. So after many decades I finally pulled off the highway and went to Atchafalaya Seafood. The restaurant was MUCH larger than I thought it would be and it was also quite crowded and the customers all seemed to be enjoying themselves here. The overall ambiance of the space was pretty energetic with lots of folks coming and going. So I got a seafood gumbo to start and the grouper for my main course. The seafood gumbo was the best I've had in Mississippi but not quite up to Louisiana standards but VERY close and far closer than the all the Alabama soups they call "gumbo" I've had with the exception of the gumbo at Tamara's Downtown in Fairhope which actually can be the only place in Alabama that serves what I would call a gumbo so far. The grouper dish was simple but very tasty and served with some nicely done veggies so it was a refreshing and healthy dish I found quite pleasing. Overall this is best seafood I've ever had in Mississippi.

They think it's hilarious to order it but the wing is also very tasty. La Flauta holds a special place in our hearts and we look forward to our next dinner here!
