Horrible customer experience at Livonia location on 6/22/23. Ordered food for 11am and arrived at the store at 11:15am to a locked door. I called and the store phone and it was answered by a rude woman asking what is my problem? She said the door is unlocked now very rudely. I go in to get my food and grab it from the counter. She didnt like the way I grabbed my food and began insulting me including mentioning beating my ass. We got into a full blown argument. If the owner is wise he would get rid of this rude employee that doesn't know how to open the store on time. I put in a complaint to corporate as well. She also refused to give her name when I asked to write it down. I have been coming to this location for many years and even left a tip on this day. Today Anisha helped me and you would swear that she was the manager there. I went into this place again because I was in the area. It seems that not much has changed since the last time. SLOW SLOW SLOW!! They advertise that everything is made to order. This seems to be the Achilles heel of their business model because it takes forever to get your food. I was there after the lunch rush and it wasn't busy inside at all, but still took a very long time to get my order. The wings are OK. I tried two different sauces, the original hot, and the Korean spicy barbecue. The Korean one was pretty good. Their fries were OK as well, but I don't like that they leave the potato skins on. It's like eating dirt to me. Other places do this as well, so it's not just them, but I hate the trend in general. One other glaring problem is there are no napkins anywhere to be found. They only offer a brown paper towel roll (with no perforations) on their counter and you're expected to tear off what you think you will need and take it back to your table with you. Really? No napkins in a place that serves finger food? They did have wet naps, but I don't want to use those until I'm completely finished eating so I don't taste the flavor of wet naps with my food. Try it. You'll like it. I went to the Friends and Family pre-opening at WingStop, located in Millennium Plaza (near the Costco at Middlebelt & 96). Truthfully, I'd never heard of WingStop before my unexpected invite. Apparently, they have been around nationally since 1994 (not in MIchigan, until one first opened up to great success in Southfield) and the idea was serving the ultimate buffalo-style chicken wings in a casual and affordable atmosphere. Upon entering, the place is comfortable and simple, with WW2-era aviation decor. You order at the counter. Although the food is relatively familiar, it is served up with a WingStop twist: individual combos; dinner for 2 or family combos (or by the piece). Within these options there are classic wings, boneless, strips or glider sandwiches. Wing flavors are: Atomic, Cajun, Original Hot, Mild, Louisiana Rub, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Lemon Pepper, Parmesan Garlic, Hawaiian and Teriyaki. Fries also have a variety of flavors! It definitely takes a minute to get accustomed to the menu options. We opted for a Boneless Dinner for 2 and an individual glider meal. The combos come with fries and beverage. Between us, we tried the teriyaki, bbq, Parmesan garlic. All were terrific. We all ordered the seasoned fries, handcut and delicious. The seasoning has a touch of sugar in it which I LOVED (actually my daughter and husband were indifferent to it, I loved it). I wish we would have tried other flavors too - next time. The staff was so helpful when I went for the first time. The guy that helped me was knowledgeable and explained the wing buying process to me. They offer pricey wings, but if you like the flavors then you are hooked. My family likes Wing Stop Hawaiian wings because of the sweet flavor. I enjoy the seasoned fries. This place to me is the definition of a 3.5 star place, but I will give it 4 stars because i can say the service here is really good. What is also good here is the fries (they are really good). As for the wings themselves I tried a total of 6 sauces : Garlic Parmesan (ok, average, nothing but parmesan cheese on some wings), Lemon Pepper (Not a fan of it at all), Teriyaki (good, taste like your typical teriyaki), Louisiana Rub (Surprisingly good), Cajun and Original Hot (two best sauces that they offer here. Their wings are in the that Hooters/Buffalo Wild WIngs class and that's how I would group them (Bdub's has the sauce, Hooters has the better straight up wing, and WingStop is the cheapest). I got a coupon in the mail for this place and thought I'd give it a try. Myself and 4 other coworkers went for lunch one day. They have a lot of options and sauces. These are quality wings. I ordered the tenders and had them spun in hot and bbq sauces. Both were very flavorful. The tenders were quality. This place is a bit pricey as far as quick service lunch places go. That would be the only thing that keeps me from coming more often. Regardless, you always get what you pay for, and they're worth the price in my opinion. I just don't like spending that much for lunch, which is when I'm near there. If you like wings, pick this place over a pizza place's wings or Bdubs. There are much much better. For this particular location on Middlebelt, I would say AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST!!! Not only they constantly and consistently get orders wrong, they don't even attempt to acknowledge phone orders. Unknowing to them I am outside trying to place an order during the the times they are open right now and I see them purposely ignoring the phone. Finally, I made a WingStop run. Walked in and was greeted but some wing slinging folks. The smell walking in was so tempting to make it a dine-in kinda day. But home I went. What you see here are seasoned fries. The fries were seasoned just right. Not too salty just right. The ranch dressing the came with my spicy boneless wings and my spicy Korean wings were absolute CRACK. Not to spicy and the ranch cut the spice as well. For less the. 14 bucks I was able to get a medium soft drink, two different kinds of boneless wings AND season fries. I've ordered food several times from the Livonia location and just about every order has had items missing. I've been told I would receive a credit, yet never received it. The day before Thanksgiving I got an email for free delivery and decided to order. Shortly after, my order was cancelled without explanation. I contacted the store to find out why and I was told again I would receive a credit. This time my credit card was charged $57 and today is 12/12 and I still have yet to get my money back. It could have resolved quite easily if the employee had any idea of customer service but instead, it escalated into an unnecessary disrespectful interaction with the customer. The manager was called into the confrontation and instead of easily giving the father the wings, he instead supported the rudeness of his employee echoing his ridiculous sentiment of 'he's worked here for 5 years and never has made mistakes'. Today was our first time trying Wingstop. The restaurant was clean and the employees were attentive. We did not know what flavors were dry rubs and wished that had been explained to us. However, the food was freshly made and the chicken was cooked to the bone. This had to be the WORST Wingstop I have been to. I am out of town and I freaking love wing stop, so I am disappointed this day has come. I ordered Cajun and Louisiana rub. Both had no flavor. How does that happen on wings?? The Cajun did not have the spices. So I basically ordered a hot wing. The Louisiana rub was not flavorful for it to be a rub. My whole order was disappointing. Then the fries had red pepper seasoning. Is that a Detroit thing?! I would think the recipes would be consistent regardless of location. In STL our fries are seasoned with a salt and sugar, etc. I'm not sure if this place received a separate training from other stores, but no thanks! The only 1 star is for the ranch! The staff were friendly and my order was up, hot, & ready! I got back to work and dug in. The fries were really good, natural cut with the skin on & just the right amount of saltiness & not too much grease. Very tasty! I ordered the boneless strips with original sauce & chunky blue cheese dipping sauce. The chicken was very good quality, and the seasoning perfect. It was mile, but I wanted that as a baseline for tasting purposes (next time I'll go Cajun hot). The blue cheese was really good, and chunky as advertised. I also got a small side of baked beans which were very smoky, and tasted pretty darned good. I have been here twice now, one time dining in and the other carrying out, and I have enjoyed both experiences. I might go back again... For the third time this week. Yeah... Either I'm broken or the food is crave-worthy. Perhaps both. I don't like when wings have too little sauce or too much, and every one seemed perfectly done and coated the way I like them. The bigger wing places have been hit and miss for me lately as far as this goes. The sauces I've tried so far are tasty, and the cajun fries are delicious. They could probably use another minute in the fryer to crisp up more, but all in all they're really good... with a lot of kick. Next time I'll ask for well-done fries. As far as the overall place goes, the atmosphere is fine. My sister said it was "cute." There are quite a few TVs in the place, and it was clean and not too cramped. The service earns them an extra star. The people seem to be genuinely friendly, checking in even though it's not a waited-table type of place. This is probably the thing that sets them most apart from B-Dubs, where things are inconsistent at best - especially the service. Not at Wing Stop, though... At least not yet. read more

Best way to get to it is taking the service drive around the back way. Inside it's pretty simple. Few tvs playing sports and.. That's it. The wings themselves are good but can be salty. I mean very salty. I mean a salt lick would be jealous. Also it's very calorie rich. A wing ding alone is 100 calories and can go up depending on what seasoning you want. But everything is made to order and food is still piping hot when you get home. Online ordering is great too, and there always seems to be a deal or coupon code to keep you coming back (I'm looking at you BW3). Great place. Drove up from Canton cause I'm kinda burnt out on BW's. What can I say, friendly staff, clean, fresh food made fast, five free wings with check in and really cheap for the quality of food/wings. Ordered 10 Louisiana Rub which were delicious..crispy, tasty and perfectly cooked. For my five free I got Cajun...awesome, just the right amount of sauce, spicy, but not sweating while I eat them. With my combo I got the fries, cajun style, almost perfect except next time I'll get those well done since I like a little snap in the fry. 15 wings, big portion of fries and a soda for $11 and change, can't beat that. Knocked it down one star only because I enjoy a beer or three and some trivia while I eat some wings. To be honest I should give them five cause there not selling that atmosphere, they sell great wings..and they are in my opinion levels above BW's. And on that note, one post I read said the wings were small/less quality than BW's...no way, bigger, fresher, properly cooked is what this place offers and delivers. Wings are PERFECT! The whole family loved them and the sauces where different and great. Our favorites where the mild and garlic parmesan. We got a second order because they were that good! Be prepared to wait a bit as they do make them to order and it takes awhile but we were happy to wait. Only complaint is the cleanliness. The floors and tables were sticky and no one was cleaning up the empty tables so there was a lot of left over food just sitting at abandoned tables and chicken bones are not appetizing to look at... we double checked that we were not suppose to clean up like at other places with a similar set up (5 guys for example) but they told us they take care of it. I would recommend they put in some trash stations and let people throw away their trash. The staff was really busy and at a place like this, it's acceptable and kind of expected that you will have to discard your own garbage.
