This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I placed an online order and sent my mom to pick it up, only for her to be told it had already been picked up -- which was completely false. The staff refused to fix their mistake, and when I called the store, the man who claimed to be the manager was extremely rude and actually hung up on me after I asked if the store was corporate or franchise-owned. When we finally got the food, it was cold, the order was wrong, and I was refused the lemonade I PAID for because they said they couldn't "give another one for free." We ordered their lemon-pepper dry wings and the Hawaiian saucy wings. We also got 6 pieces of their boneless Buffalo Chicken "wings" and a side of large fries. I liked the Hawaiian wings, but wasn't a huge fan of the lemon-pepper. Too dry. My husband and I haven't been to a BigBoy since before Covid. We decided to go tonight and I must say that while the food was quite good, the prices gave us sticker shock. I ordered onion rings with my slim Jim. The menu said it was a dollar more, but I knew it would be. The waiter then explained there would be an up charge for the onion rings and I said okay. When the bill came, my slim Jim was an extra dollar higher, but then I was charged an additional $3.99 for the onion rings. When I questioned the waiter he insulted me by saying that he already explained that to me but did so again and yet he made no sense about the additional $3.99. He replied with some kind of hokey gibberish, which I could not understand, and finally said, "Ok, whatever." As we were leaving, I heard another couple araroguing the same thing and getting the same lip service. Unbelievable! I don't think we will be returning to this restaurant. We were left with a feeling that we were duped and treated like imbeciles. I remarked to the cashier that prices had really skyrocketed here, and she rudely answered to take it up with someone else, not with her. One more thing... While at my table I noticed another waitress taking a cloth out of a bucket of water and wiping down a table. The food is okay if they get your order right, but customer service is not. I looked in the bag when I returned to my car after picking up my online order. I'm glad I did because I received the wrong order. None of the items were mine. I went back inside, they took the bag and asked what I ordered. Once they found my order slip, they got my food together. There were no apologies about the mix-up or the wait for the correct order. Back in the car, I realized they gave me the wrong drink, too. Decided to give them a second chance a couple months later. Again, order was wrong. Staff stand around in the kitchen leaning on the counters talking about the customers. The windows and door are so disgustingly filthy with dirt, grease and fingerprints that it makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is. Staff do have masks on but most of them have them under their chin or have their noses hanging out, so what's the point? I've also seen them messing with their masks, touching their faces and hair and then touching people's food without washing their hands. This place is dirty, at 11am it smells like frat house after Greek Week! Staff not wearing gloves or washing hands when they switch from register to food prep. Service is incredibly slow, waited 30 mins past quoted pickup time. Some of my food was cold some was hot, how does that happen? Rude staff, many of them walking around conversing with each other while one person pretty much ran the restaurant. I gave him a $20 which he mis-rang as a $50 which required two employees and serious PoS gymnastics to correct. Sigh. In-store menu said that a side was included. The side was not included, it was another $0.90. Grrr. Told that my order would take 16 minutes. I returned precisely 16 minutes later and see three bagged to-go orders waiting. Yay! Oh. None are mine. He tells me it will be a few more minutes. Ten minutes later, bupkus. Horrible customer experience at Livonia location on 6/22/23. Ordered food for 11am and arrived at the store at 11:15am to a locked door. I called and the store phone and it was answered by a rude woman asking what is my problem? She said the door is unlocked now very rudely. I go in to get my food and grab it from the counter. She didnt like the way I grabbed my food and began insulting me including mentioning beating my ass. We got into a full blown argument. Only because the seasoning seemed so salty and it was a dry rub and not a wet sauce.
