This place has gotten a lot of love from the community, unfortunately I can't find it in me...this…read morehas to be an honest review. The wings were very subpar, sorry. They look meaty...they look delish...but the flavors were quite lacking. One...what is up with the chives and sesame seeds. They did ask me if I wanted them on there...I said sure. But I don't see how that adds anything to the flavor profile of the wing. Is it for texture? I have noticed it's more common in Mexico..so maybe they're bringing that practice over here? But offering it on every wing? Sesame seeds and chives do not go with every single wing flavor. Moving on... The wings were a good size...and well cooked. I think these are air fried...so the fry on the wing left a little more to be desired. I honestly don't remember the flavors I chose...but probably Iwiings and Buffalo... The one thing that really threw me off...and almost made me stop eating, was their ranch in the small cups. I wish I had not stirred the ranch that much to have recorded it better..so I was given 3 cups and each cup was the same. As I was dipping my wings into the small cup, I noticed the bottom of the cup was extremely watery, while the ranch at the top was very thick. It could be simply explained...dressings settle. But it made me wonder...do they water down their dressings? Or did the ranch settle? But then why did it settle toward the top...maybe they have the cups upside down, so it settled to the top because of that? But still ...it was very unsettling to see all of sudden this watery mess push up through the ranch...I tried to record it right but I had already mixed it too much. One of the few times I can say I was almost grossed out on a food item and stopped eating. Is it worth the love? Well they also sell ribs..but if your name is based on wings, I will grade you on wings. Even with their great discounts, unfortunately will not try this place again.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food and service has noticeably declined. On several occasions, the food has not been fully cooked, and the overall quality is nowhere near what it used to be. Additionally, certain staff members have demonstrated poor customer service, making the experience even more frustrating. It's disappointing to see a place I've supported for so long decline in both food quality and customer service. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

Any person who decides to open a bbq place in Texas must be pretty bold…read more When we got out of the car, I could smell the smoke. It was promising but I've been fooled before. This was good barbecue. The bark on the brisket was consistent and peppery but not overwhelming. The rib meat didn't quite fall off the bone, but close to it. The turkey had a good Smokey flavor. I also got the charro beans and the jalapeño creamed corn. The corn was good but it was fabulous the next day! I don't think this is the best barbecue in Texas but it was pretty good barbecue and better than some of the supposedly famous places in other parts of the state. I also liked eating listening to praise and worship music! I'll almost certainly go back when I'm back in town.

I was the first customer to arrive and had the pleasure of talking to Nidia Vargas, the Boss Lady, and learning how the establishment developed over time and how they made it onto the Texas Monthly list. She was very personable and the dining area was comfortable. I ordered the Texas Trinity and was not disappointed. The brisket rub is Pitmaster Ram Vargas' special blend. It made a great addition to the perfectly smoked, tender brisket. The sausage reminded me of the Black's Lockhart sausage that I grew up with. It did not resemble store bought sausage either in flavor or texture. I would definitely order this meat again. The ribs had a savory sweet glaze. They were smoked well, meaty and tender. For the sides I had Nidia Vargas' signature creamy green spaghetti, charro beans, potato salad, and Mexican rice. The green spaghetti is pasta bathed in pureed jalapeños, poblanos, and cilantro. It started off with a mild heat which built up as I continued to eat it. It was a great complement to the delicious meats. The charro beans were probably some of the best beans I have had. The potato salad brought back pleasant memories of my mother-in-law's potato salad that, in my opinion, is second to none. The Mexican rice was well seasoned as well. Honestly, there wasn't a thing that I ordered that I would not try again. This joint gets an A+ in my books.

Terrible service! i went with some friends and we all decided to share the large order of panchos…read more The panchos are very tasty but the service was horrible! The waitress was upset that we only ordered that for our table so she was not very kind to us after that. You usually get beans for each person along with chips and salsa as you walk in, and we did not get either. When we asked if we were getting beans, she said, "not today." when we then asked for chips and salsa, she said "no." She then came back with the chips in a small bowl when all other tables got a regular sized basket. We would have tipped her the same (and well) no matter what we ordered as we were all paying separately, so no need to be so rude. This was after I gave them a THIRD chance after getting rotten tasting chicken 2 previous times. The first time, i thought it was just me and didnt complain. The 2nd time, i went with a friend and had her taste it and she said it did taste rotten so i asked for another plate. No apology or anything, just a smug "well what else do you want?" and i let those other experiences go only to get treated badly a 3rd time! Never going back again! Have never been treated so poorly!
