First time for the chicken tenders. At first glance they looked a little small. When I bit into them, they were pretty tasty and thicker. I had them seasoned with garlic parmesan. Soooo... my boyfriend ordered from wingstop while I wasn't feeling well. I didn't realize it was the SAME PLACE I NEVER LIKED. Welp, of course his drinks were missing. I ordered online an hour before they opened a 50 piece bone in wing combo meal for my 6th grade class. It took over an hour to get my order once I arrived. The reason given was the fryer was inoperable and was being fixed and it would only take a few minutes but too over an hour. BEWARE: This is the worst Wingstop in Memphis. The only reason I go is because I tell myself my experience will be better next time. My last visit 3/16/18 was short of any hopeful expectation. I called in at 656pm and placed my order. I was told it would take 30 minutes for my order. I paid at 731pm. I expected my food to be ready. It wasn't. I was told that my order hadn't been started yet and that it would be another 10 minutes. I finally got my food at 813pm. My issue is if your wait time is an hour, tell me it's an hour. Another customer asked for a refund after waiting for an hour for his order after being told it would be a 15 minute wait. The staff is unprofessional. I've witnessed on not only this visit but other visits the manager be openly rude to customers. Today, the staff had several altercations between themselves, openly. The young women taking orders at the front counter were using profanity in front of customers. It seems that this location needs to get it together and get some training on operations and professional customer service. I will also be emailing the corporate office to discuss my experiences. Terrible place to order food from. I've tried this wingstop on Germantown Parkway in Cordova over and over again and they just never get the food right. My wife and I orders were messed up again. My wings were not fried well done, which I specifically asked for through the app and fries were cold. My wife asked for her wings well done and asked for all flats, neither happened. Our chicken was fat and not edible. A waste of my money. We will not be returning to any wingstop ever again. Atomic wing sauce, how hot thou art. I was the first customer at 11:00 and ordered an eight piece combo as hot as they can possibly make it. 20 minutes later, I began indulging myself in my masochist pleasures. I find time and time again that most restaurant fried chicken wings are cooked to the point of being dried as jerky just because the inexperienced cooks want to be double sure they are thoroughly cooked. I also find in many cases that "hot" is nothing more than Tabasco and butter. This is the main reason I avoid restaurant wings. After reading reviews, I decided to do my own review here, which, of course involves eating the wings. These wings are totally legit and I have no hesitations buying them again. First off, I like the menu. There are plenty of selections. I like that you are allowed to mix and match so that you can get multiple flavors in the same order. Also, I really like the way each flavor has 1-5 peppers to represent how hot each flavor is rated. Not sure if you can handle atomic? Order some mild or medium, and order 1 or 2 atomic wings with it. That's what I should have done, but no, I had to do all 8 as hot as could be. I'll do it again too! These are wing pieces by the way, so you want to order twice as many as you would if they were whole. As far as how they are cooked, I prefer grilled slowly to 180*. The next best way is deep fried 10-12 minutes to the same temp. That's exactly how mine were. One minute in the fryer too long, and they are ruined. Mine came out just perfectly. They were cooked as best they possibly can be in a fryer. All the wings here are cooked the same and then dipped through a metal bowl of the sauce you choose. The atomic sauce is not the hottest I've ever had, but it's getting there. The taste flavor is the best I've ever had. It is a thick paste and clings to the meat well. It's nothing at all like the runny vinegar sauce. Not too sweet. Not too bitter. Nothing like vinegar. I couldn't think of a way to accurately describe the flavor, but let's just say I liked it. It is habanero based and must have some pepper extract. Then there are peppercorns in it. I tasted garlic. I tried to find some way to buy a gallon of this but couldn't. I'd use it at home and mix chopped peppers into it! The first wing wasn't that hot. I have had much hotter so I thought this would be easy. After the second wing, I started to feel the heat. The third wing made my nose start to run, and after the fifth, I had to take a ten minute break. My lips were burning. Then I finished the remaining three easily. I felt as if I'd just completed some sort of important achievement. If this was some sort of competitive challenge, I'm not sure how I'd have done. I just watched the YouTube man vs. food 20 wings in 20 minutes and he said it has police grade pepper spray in it. Go ahead and try 1 or 2 if only just to try the flavor. You'll live. Just because it's atomic doesn't mean it's radioactive. These may be the best tasting wings I've had and among the best cooked from a restaurant, but they would have to be grilled and have pieces of pepper blended in the sauce before I'd say they were they best I've ever had. I'm at five stars on the wings none the less. I'm deducting one star because the fries sucked. How do you screw up fresh cut potato fries? Take them out of the fryer early and put way too much salt on them. I couldn't eat the fries. read more
