I will say I'm…read moreused to Van Andel in Grand Rapids which is a much larger venue, but this place could use some updates. While we were there most recently for a concert, I noticed that it was super hot in the concourse area and heard lots of people commenting on it. I felt bad for the employees as they were working hard and looked pretty warm. The concourse is quite narrow and congested with lines for concessions and different bars everywhere. The flow is not great and can feel very crowded, especially at hockey games. For the concert, they were requiring wristbands for those 21+ wishing to purchase alcohol, but the only spot I could see them being distributed was off the side immediately after going through security. No one told us that we needed to go over there until we were already in the line for drinks. There wasn't any order to getting wristbands, no one was in a line - it was just kind of chaotic. Once we finally got drinks (there was only one employee working to open everyone's drinks and pour them into cups), we made it to our seats which were great. I don't think there can be a bad seat in this arena since it's so small. The drink prices were very reasonable (and about half of what they charge at Van Andel). We also paid $10 (cash only) for parking, but they didn't really have anyone directing traffic in the parking lot. I think there are plans in the works to build a new stadium closer to downtown, so hopefully it will be a nicer experience!

This place is where all the major events happen from Men's and Women's Basketball, Commencement,…read more(High School and MSU), concerts, trade shows, HS state championships). We attended the MSU vs. Oregon Ducks Men's game in January. MSU won which always makes thr visit great! As far as the facility: - Accessibility Access and Friendly. Parking, Complimentary Wheelchair, and accessible seating. - Seating is about 15K - Bathrooms are clean but lines can get long. - I couldn't provide any info on the food or drink as I didn't get anything. The student section is always rocking. The cheerleaders were great! They continually hyped up the crowd and gave away shirts by tossing into the crowd. Go Green and Go White traditions get the crowd into it. Which was needed as Oregon was playing like their hair was on fires. But the game turned around and MSU ending up winning! The legend Tom Izzo ending up tying the Big Ten record for W's (352) and shared it with Bobby Knight. Overall, great venue, great staff and parking is easy.

We toured the following areas: private suites off the concourse, the main arena floor, the M.S.U.Basketball museum. We also viewed the Green Room, the Pressroom, and the south basement tunnel entrance area, where a portion of the main floor can be raised hydralicy to bring in exhibits.

Nate and I were gifted tickets to this year's opening day and we had a blast. I remember going to games as a kid too, so it's fun to see that it's still a popular places for all ages. The ballpark is pretty small compared to places like Comerica Park, but it's clean, there are plenty of options for food, and tickets are cheap. The main headache is getting into the parking lot from US131 - a huge, slow-moving line forms onto the highway right around game time. Once you finally get in, the parking attendants are great. There is a fee to park and the whole place is cashless, so they do take credit cards for the parking fee. As someone who rarely has cash, this is really convenient. Tickets range from $10 for the lawn area up to $18 for premium box seats, or you can get a table spot with four seats for $35. I've usually gotten lawn tickets in the past - it's a nice area and you can bring in chairs and blankets. The gift shop is quite large and really nicely maintained, with lots of great items including several shirts, hats, etc. with the Whitecaps' honorary mascots the Dam Breakers and Bungholes and some others. Prices are decent and there's something for everyone in the gift shop. I may have to get a Whitecaps shirt to wear to games! LMCU does fun theme nights and discounts for Whitecaps games, including princess day, Star Wars day, senior discounts, etc. I love the fun activities and games they do between innings and it's fun to try to get on the big screen doing your best air guitar. I'm looking forward to checking out another Whitecaps game at LMCU this summer. They also host meetings, company picnics and events, weddings, concerts, trade shows, etc.

Most of the concessions of late are wildly overpriced, though. You'll spend a pretty penny to feed your family at the game. Eat before you leave home, or wait for a Thursday Thursday or Dime Dog-type promotion. It's just really hard to justify $9.50 for a brat that's lots smaller than your typical Johnsonville. Beer value is so-so. Go Whitecaps!
