I've been across the pond for several years and this Fish and Chips brought back memories. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were completely off the chain. The meal costs $17 and fed me and my dear wife. From this point on Trident will be my Fish and Chips place weekly. My finicky grandson Josiah even loved it. Trident you did well and you have my business. I would have given a 5 but I'd like to see a few more chips on the large Fish and chips meal. Other than that it was perfect!

I stopped in Little Rock for the night and wanted chicken. I saw a Raising Cane's, but I searched…read morefor other options and found Layne's. I did not expect much. I was wrong. The building looked clean, bright, and well kept. The drive through staff set the tone. The woman working the window was the nicest person I have met at a fast food restaurant outside of Chick fil A. I ordered the four piece tender combo with original and spicy tenders. The meal was thirteen dollars and worth every dollar. Many new chicken tender spots serve hot food with no flavor. Layne's does not fall into that group. The tenders were hot, juicy, and seasoned. The spicy tenders pushed the flavor even higher. This is strong performance for fast food. The fries impressed me. They had crunch on the outside and plenty of salt. They stopped right before too much salt. Most places fail here. Layne's did not. The toast was simple, buttery, and toasted well. Layne's delivered from start to finish. If you are in town and want quick chicken, you will leave happy.

The Meatloaf had a brisket texture and the homemade apple BBQ sauce took it to the next level. Awesome sides. I wanted to find out how the restaurant earned all those stars. And I found out. The food is truly outstanding! It is real food, from the fried okra, fried catfish, slaw, and a dish I never would have thought I would order, (but did) is the Grilled Shrimp and Rice dish. It is so much more than what it sounds, so, that today, I found my new favorite dish, and will be ordering it, again, this week. The cook knows what she is doing! And that dish alone deserves a title! When you order; you are taken care of, and what I mean by that is; you don't get a dab of tartar sauce in a little cup, like a lot of places might do. For me, I got all I needed. The fried okra is like no way, you have ever tasted it, before. And the slaw is good, too. I can't wait to explore the other dishes, as well, because this is the first time, I have tasted their food. Grilled Tilapia, steak, and much, much more fill their menu. The spicing of the food is also perfect, in my opinion, instead of just smothering it all in salt. I am thrilled with this new find of really nice food, along with really nice people, who got every detail of my order correct. Thank you!

My friend was given the wrong order, which we did not discover until returning to our hotel. Because we were riding together, I had to drive back to the restaurant to correct their mistake, causing my food to become cold. When I asked the manager on duty if my meal could be remade due to the inconvenience, she was dismissive and refused, stating there was "nothing wrong" with my food. I requested to speak with someone above her; she took my name and number and made a call but never returned to address the issue. The lack of accountability and customer service was unacceptable. Due to this experience, I do not recommend this location.
